There are many Russian projects, and many of the users are suspicious of them. So many experts believe, but I heard news that Russia is developing rules for ICO projects that protect both investors and the projects themselves from scammers. Maybe, after that the situation will change.

Actually there are somevery legit russian icos out there working on final products. Yes they are sadly known with their frauds but it doesn't mean everyone try to scam others. This is my personal opinion.

Russians unfortunately do not like to develop a serious and large-scale business. Mainly HYIP or fraud. Mentality in Russia because of the regime is very meager. You can find good projects for yourself, but in percentage terms the chance to get on a good project is several times less than from other countries.

actually, i always approach the ICOs suspiciously. Investing team members like stalker. I am checking them like what are they eating, drinking etc... If all members belongs to Russia, i spend 2-3x more time then usual ICO.

A huge number of scammers, very weak support of the yurists. Most often these are one-day firms that duplicate other people's projects and try to grab money and hide in remote Siberia. I try to pass by such projects, and I advise you to think many times than to give money to such projects, you may suffer.

People what do you think about investment in russian icos?
I think we should look not at the country of origin of the ICO, but on the team, the roadmap and the advisers who work with the project. This is relevant information, yes, it takes a lot of effort than just looking at the country, but also more information and understanding whether it is worth investing in the considered ICO.

I think this topic discusses an incorrect question. The organizers of ICO are first of all a team pursuing a certain goal. The objectives of the team may be different: make a cool project or raise money and run away. All this depends on specific people, and not on the country where they are.

I am cautious about the projects of Russian developers, conduct a more in-depth study. I try to participate in their projects less.

Russian projects are always fraud!

yeh? just like eth? and yet we keep buying them to profit right?

come on, we all can see the team and their faces on youtube, if they were fraud you are always welcome to file a case to them. investing is taking a risk, you can't just cry and file case all because the investors before you dumped after hearing a news and hold.

As I know, Russian government is going to prohibit ICOs following the example of the US, so may be soon this thread will become irrelevant  Grin

People what do you think about investment in russian icos?

Positive thinking. ICO is good not because where he came from, but who is managing. I think in Russia already have freedom in the use of cryptocurrency. So ICO in Russia will be successful.

Guys, I have a question. How do you determine the ownership of a country? Russian developers or project registration in Russia?
I just don't understand .. it smacks of nationalism.  Roll Eyes

We are talking about teams and registration of a legal entity. For me, registration in the Russian jurisdiction is a red flag for investing in this ICO. Completely Russian team is an occasion to study more thoroughly the documents and reliability of the presented data.

People what do you think about investment in russian icos?
As for me, a bad idea ..
My personal experience :
Revizor - scam,
Giza device - scam,
Renberry-  he collected 30 lyams, he did not pay bounty...
FinTAb - 3 months can not be listed on a normal exchange (but for me it is one of the most successful projects)
At the moment I have high hopes for the Russian project - allabout.me
Explain that you are trying again to contact the Russian ICO if you already have such a negative experience? Is there really not enough project on the market for you? or you're just a patriot? )

There is no particular country that should be associated with scam or bad ICO we have scammers in virtually all over the world. It is just a coincidence to have such bad experience.

I think around 80% of icos from russia are scam, you need to investigate and research them hard! Just check code in github and check all people, if they dont have any successful icos then skip.
