The Raid project, which starts soon on Bittrex, has some problems with the partner "op.gg". "Op.gg" says has no affiliation with RAID Coin. The information they posted on the website.

I think IEO is taking the chance from ICO which I see as a good move by binance as any project that host there will be of good image to crypto community .

We have seen lot of of scam project and also useless project which has nothing to offer but creating more issues for the community as many has seen crypto as a pyramid scheme but with a very good and best move by binance of using IEO the confidence in crypto will raise again and many will have rest of mind in investing in new coin or token on like what happen in last year.

Crypto market is controlled by the exchanges, and how they evolve will determine the fate of any thing related to cryptocurrencies. ICOs have robbed people off their wealth, they have damaged the repo of a system which is going to change our financial systems in a decade, basically any thing which people do not trust on is very harmful.

Now coming to IEO, so brands like Binance and now Bittrex too are getting associated with them which adds a layer of trust amongst people, which eventually can bring more money flow and more people in cryptos, the trust building would start again, and definitely IEO will be replacing ICOs, let us see how future unfolds.

I hope you do not consider this a stupid comment,,, but what is the difference between initial token offering and initial exchange offering in terms of the model of crowdfunding itself? I understand IEO just means the tokens are available to buy on exchange but other than a more transparent way of selling tokens, why would IEO replace ICO, if STO offer better aspects of legality and transparency? Help me understand this, thank you.

Which ever method of funds raising used weather a project decided to use an ICO or IEO it makes no much difference only the fact that most IEO offering will be more trusted but there are no guarantees that it makes a project successful

Binance has raised fund for two projects and they have offered their 3rd project which sell will be at March 19 or 21 of instant. It's Celer Network. Their previous two projects were successful and I hope this one will also be a successful one.
However, it seems Bittrex is also following the same and there is an IEO on their platform too. Can IEO replace the ICO?

I have made this thread self moderated to avoid the stupid comments which I have been observed on my previous topic.
I look that a positive point of view since those IEO hosted by well known Exchange like Binance was already a guarantee for me. Since the both parties are already made a necessary arrangement for the sake of its investors the more secure environment to invest with IEO hosted by a well known exchange like Binance and im sure it will be listed on Binance too! thats a quite good and favorable strategy for the platform and its investors for sure. Because of these "IEO" trends. The ICO's will need more innovative approach to compete with IEO in order to survive.

It seems ieo's are getting better results so far, way better than ico's.

Because you can buy it from an exchange and you know it will be listed on that exchange in a short time. It is a nice improvement i must say.

This is my thought about both ICO and IEO, As far as i know, what has already launched by binance through its launch pad are ICOs. Binance was creating cooperation with all of those icos to help them raise the funds. Basically, it's still called as ico but with the cooperation and help from the exchange site to give more facility to the investors will able to invest in these ICOS easily.
Binance was also taking the fees from those ICOS who used binance launch pad to launch their ICOS. Totally 4 ICOS have successfully funded through use binance launch pad.
There are no differences between ICOS and IEO. ICO that created cooperation with the exchange site can be called as IEO. Contents protocol has created cooperation with okex too but it's still called as ico.

In this case, the exchange site will be facilitating the investors and give a guarantee of those ICOs were listed on the exchange site's launch pad has already verified and it's not a fraudulent project.

I guess not only bittrex but more exchange sites are trying to do that.

Honestly, this is going to be the new trend because if Binance is promoting scam ICO that will surely hurt their reputation and all the trust they build from their investors and traders, so we are going to see this kind of investment from other top exchange like Kucoin I think with this kind of crowdfunding, it will shun bounty hunters, because Binance can do this on it's own

IEO (initial exchange offering) seems to be the only solution left for investors to gain trust in new projects ,this is my aim this year cos IEO projects is all I'm going to keep following

Would you please be so kind and elaborate the main difference between an ICO and an IEO? For me it seems that an IEO is just an other name for an ICO where you know the people behind the project?

ICO = initial coin offering.

IEO = initial exchange offering

Basically, a project coming from an ICO always want to get listed by a big exchange.

Lately that exchange is binance.

Not coinbase, not poloniex, not bitfinex. It is binance you want.

If the projects always want to get listed on binance... why the fuck we need ethereum?

Binance can fund its own projects and list them itself.  Grin

BnB might come very close to ETH soon, in terms of market cap.

Can you link me to where you saw or read the Bittrexx IEO?
IEOs were already existing before but it has not gained much traction until Binance launched their own. Waves for example also have theirs but it's not that popular. Sure IEOs have their advantages but I do not see it completely replacing ICOs.

Popular exchanges promoting ICO can be the only way to restore ICO glory that's once lost ,if bitmart ,binance ,bitfinex etc can launch projects in IEO many investors will quickly grab the offer because the confidence is there ,these popular exchanges won't want to lose face by promoting scam projects, right?

I'm agree with that those can be simply called ICO but there's a huge different in between those. Generally an ICO is not anymore trusted because they can scam our money. On the other hand, when it comes through Binance Launchpad, we can confirm that the project is 100% legit. That's where the different is and that's why we can call it in different name same as STO.
You can't trust an independent ico because it lacks transparency(manipulation, fake identity and etc) but there are only a few icos weren't and that's the main problem. that's why the exchange site was seeing it as an opportunity for facilitating the investors. I can take an example like binance, binance has its own section to do a lot of research to a lot of potential ico. This to make sure the ico will not deceive the investors. Whatever you called that and it's not a big problem.
