Well I have been holding ICN for quite some time, but after these news, there is simply no incentive to hold ICN long term and now it's on its way to become another pump and dump (not coin) asset. Basically, after these news, it's not even an asset when I think about it.
Changing the fundamental characteristic of the entire business mid-flight is very very very bad sign. It was obvious from the beginning, that dividens might be problematic, but it took X months to figure it out? Nah. Also, what incentive is there for big investors now? Not much.

Anyways, good luck to those of you still holding, there's plenty of money to be made for sure, but there are better opportunities out there, especially now with bear market. I may regret this eventually, but at the moment I believe it's a correct decision.

Why on earth would you think so?
NuShares did something similar and it ended up being a disaster (just in case you guys think this is the first time a crypto has done buybacks, it's NOT). It centralizes all the value inside of ICN. When you were getting dividends in Ethererum, your value was gained outside of the ICN network - which is good. Now if something goes wrong with ICN all value is going to be gone.
I guess you can just slowly sell your ICN as the price rises to avoid the risk..
What is NuShares ? Also they dont have a fixed amount of coins on the market like ICN. ICN is limited to 100M. NuShares is POS and have an inflation rate higher. Even if you were getting ETH, we were still being centralised. Since ICN is a token on ethereum network. ICNX invest in different crypto. There should be a crypto disaster in all the coins ICN invested in for ICN to really fall to 0. I dont see any valid drawback that might occur because of the buy back ?

Did the team said ICN value won't anymore be getting from the investments they are going to do in the next years? The buy back still is good and the ICN's value will still grow through the team investments. I think this will still be healthy for the investors and the team.

motherfucker i've sent btc to kraken an hour ago, what the hell is wrong with the network, i paid more than enough for it to be prioritized yet its still not confirmed? once its confirmed i'm going to send all my icn to liqui. i wish i should just sent it to liqui, it has already grown much. hope its not yet too late to chase.

So I'm checking prices for the 100th time today and I see 52 cent ICN....I'm like....it has to be some kind of news.

It´s the equivalent of ICN holders investing all of their dividends into ICN again! HUUUUUUUGEEEEEE
I also feel something amazing about this project moon is coming very quickly to this place. Holders are gonna to be rich but only strong hands will make secure future just for holding the tokens. I am still holding my tokens because the team is going is to the moon.
In regards to first ever crytpo that's deflationary, PEPECASH is deflationary, so is CounterParty XCP. Not sure they are even the first. But that out of the way, GO ICN!
