It can be said, the electronic money market is a potential investment trend and new development not long ago. In particular, ICO is the investment form chosen by many investors because of its super-profit nature. I have also invested in a number of recent ICO projects, successful projects, and failed projects.

ico are legitimate but the few bad ones has spoiled the reputation of the good ones with good plan to execute and now its not easy to trust any ico now because they are now regarded as prospective scammers until they prove otherwise after successful ico.

The vast majority of ICOS are scammers or projects that will not survive in the market because they are very weak. But there are very good projects among ico, you just need to choose carefully.

Most of the ICOs' are bogus or scam. However you can always find a few legit ones, just need to have a good eye/research skills and some experience to identify them.

ICOs is just the crypto term for IPOs in stock market.
For ICOs they are projects that have products built on crypto currency or blockcain technology.
They are scams at all. A lot of ICOs out there are really successful and made it to top 100 coinmarketcap.
However, choosing to invest into an ICO or not is totally your choice and do it at your own risk.

I think you are as wrong as the person asserting 99% are tricks. Many are genuine, yet many are likewise tricks. The thing that partitions the 2 are the genuineness of the general population running the venture. Now and again that is difficult to decide. However, one thing I have learned is that when they do trick a few people they will in the long run trick everybody. A valid example is IUNGO. They defrauded the general population doing the abundance and now they are misleading the financial specialists.

I read an article about giving passport to ICO's to regulate them.  I think this is a good idea just to bring back the investors trust to these ICO's. At least with this, we can already know if the people behind ICO's are the real people doing the project, also companies.

Since the creation of this topic a year has passed. I noticed the title of this topic: "ICOs are a legit Scam?". Do you see a small, but fundamental difference?
Where are we going?

I guess from my observations, an ICO really is going to be great depending on how much the invested spent on advetising and the uniqueness of its platform. A lot now a days are appearing and it seems its hard to recognize whats scam or not. Keen obervations and reading really is a good style to figure it out.
There are really a lot of scams out there in the market. Be careful. Alway check their website, their communities, are they active on social media etc. Also, do you believe in their project etc. For example, I follow closely SciDex. They are creating a new type of smart contract generator for complex transactions. So that even regular businesses that need legally binding contracts can be on the blockchain. That’s improving the whole blockchain ecosystem, if you ask me.

To choose ico that is legit to invest, you should pay attention to the following:
1. The concept of ico's work, whether the ico concept will boom in the future, survive the future technological change and be able to prove its benefits.
2. The development team behind ico is no less important than the concept. because how good a concept is, if without people who can make it happen then the concept is useless.
Starting from the Founder, Advisor and Team Programmer who developed ico is a very important source of information to determine whether IOIC is worth investing in or not.
3. Timeline and Target, An ico that Legit will always include their timeline and work clear targets and be able to produce according to what they have targeted in their timeline.
4. Display websites in the form of website article content, both in terms of work concepts, teams, their applications that are available, sponsors, exchangers and news websites that have covered them.
5. Monitor the Information and News of the Latest Development Results from ico in the Forum, Reddit, Steemit, Cointelegraph, Coinmarketcap Blog Bitcoin.co.id, and other Crypto news portals.

99% of ICOs are designed for one purpose only - and that is to enrich the creator(s). In other words, yes, most of them are scams.

However, there are plenty of legit ICOs out there too. You just need to be very careful about which ones you choose to invest in. Do a lot of research in terms of the development team, whitepaper, road-map, etc. to gauge how successful you think it will be and then decide.

You literally took the words out of my mouth, I also suggest following whatever projects you plan to invest in on Medium, Link'd In, and Twitter. I would also join any Telegram announcement groups based off of the Specific Project. You can then stay up to date with the latest news and advancements!

Pay close attention to how much they have worked and how much of the Roadmap has been completed as if they are not sharing updates daily it is probably a scam!

Ico's are genuine, however you have to check all the data about their groups, sites, whitepaper, and internet based life accounts. On the off chance that the abundance demonstrates that they can do numerous things for the network. In the event that they have numerous devotees in their twitter account, at that point numerous individuals trust them. That is my own assessment on the most proficient method to know whether that abundance is a trick or genuine

Everything relies upon the ICO we pick. We should simply do the examination and furthermore read the development of the venture. There are numerous elements that we have to deal with in light of the fact that I ensure that picking an imminent venture is troublesome. You ought to have the capacity to get things done and without offering up to discover different recipes keeping in mind the end goal to choose to put resources into the task. It might be said that lone a couple of percent of tasks are fruitful and numerous activities fall flat. It's every one of the a decision and we need to choose what we do.

At first if you don't decide to invest in some coins you might not know if it's fake or not because you would want to focus on the once you're concerned about, so as to find the right once, good investigation is needed so as to find out the purpose of the coin so ad it's state of ground, the white paper will also help more. Though it's all about risk but you can make it minimal.

Recently, very many countries say that holding an ICO can be considered not entirely legal, because so many countries are against crypto-currencies, but still most countries are still neutral about crypto-currencies.

I think that countries are not controlling the money invested by crypto, so they prohibit it. What governments are concerned about is the amount of money they get from controlling their investments or profits from the trader, but that's not what they do.
if you think that the government can not control its companies, Then why do many put forward demands to provide personal data for adolescents?

There are a lot of ICOs out there and we cannot deny the fact the majority of it would be a scam or a no good project. So you have to be very critical and careful in making sure that you do necessary investigations and research before getting involve into any project. Take time in scrutinizing the project's whitepaper, know everything there is to know about the project, their vision, their team, the product and the road map. It is better to invest your time and effort on this step as a precaution, no one wants to invest into something, put in time, effort and your hard earned money for nothing.
