I usually see that big projects never go under their ICO price , but as it is in market so anything can happen.
I always take part in ICO's which are of very high quality. For now i am looking forward to take part in Egretia project.

I have found that all the ICOs i have invested in have launched at almost the ICO price but in a few days dipped below the ICO prices by half or 5X for some.
With this i have discovered its better not to invest in an ICO but wait for the launch and the DIP to buy it at the corrected prices made by market forces.
Its just too hard to tell the real or recommended value of a token in an ICO these days.

The ICOs these days are undeniably not as good as before and that is due to the sudden hyped elevation of prices last year. That is why tokens from ICOs are better before because of the bull market. Today, the whole market is in bloodbath making dumps of coin prices to be extreme after being launched in exchanges.
Frankly speaking I dont see any relation between the current bloodbath and the ICO that are coming out currently. Its fact that they are already bad way of earning money but sometimes you get huge money out of it and thus you start believing that they are great and you can catch more ICO like that way. Also its not about the 2017 or 2018 but its about whether we are seeing some good team meet ups or not. I mean its the quality of people thats dropping day by day and thus making it crash day by day. Off course there are both good and bad sides of it, its in our hands which one to choose and earn money from. ICO are shits since the first day they were launched in the crypto but its us who can make good choice.

indeed some people are lost their money because buy ICO coins with too high and if those coin are being listed at the exchange then the price of those coins were below at the ICO price and maybe buy coin during ICO are risky now but i don't think all of ICO coins are bad such as that and in my view if you're discover good ICO project then i'm pretty sure you still able to get profit from that

If I remember correctly, in 2017 I invested more than 10 ICO projects. And I have a lot of money from these ICOs. But in early 2018 I have invested in the ICO COPYTRACK and ATFS projects. The reason is that because the price of BTC is low, ICO is affected a lot. ICO can not make much of the same profit as 2017. So by 2018 we will have to choose very carefully the ICO

BUT there were still 2018 icos that were succesfull, and with coins that have gone up.
Basically do your homework, pick the ico that has the right team, skip the ones with multiple red flags, weed out the trash, and go for the winner!

ICO is not profitable like before i strongly do not recommend to invest in ICO now because you will loss your profit as well . Better to wait next big pump ICO and invest there.

ICOs are speculation on top of more speculation. For now we're fully speculationed out. This year will prove with ease that almost all ICOs that came before are worthless and will fail, or more likely not even get as far as failing and simply disappear. The interest in them is going to dry up.

Just by how are you able to say so without laying out your data? I surmise this is yet another out-of-the-box feeling that you are experiencing especially because the market has gone down low. Otherwise, you would not even bother writing down your thoughts. I hope you and all others who merely base their write up with feelings should STOP because it is people like you that causes turbulence in the would-be smooth market of cryptocurrencies. This is truth but there are some that has done well in the market after the lunch. There is going to be a lot of things that are going to happen that will show people the reality and the nature of cryptocurrencies. Buying after the ico when a project is llunch into the market is far better.

Well, fundermental of ICO is still the same but the market that support ICO such as ethereum and bitcoin is what is low right now. ICO has become part and parcel of funding economic and very important part of cryptocurrency as well.
most coin ico falls below price. it is true.. but some coins make x3 x5.. so it is necessary to investigate well. you also see the situation of the market, all the coins are falling.
I do believed that most of the altcoins who got their price dumped, I am very sure when Bitcoin starts to go up again most of the top altcoins will also get pump like what will happen to bitcoin. But for now it is like a volcano sleeping yet and near to explode at any moment.
Patience for now is what we should be doing, without it we will never survive in the market, I do believe this manipulation will end and it will reverse

We have only stepped into the fourth month of this year. All the crypto coins would be gaining value. It is a way too early to judge anything about ICOs.
This is not even about judging nor identifying scam presently, the truth is that presently I would say the whole market has been seriously affected with the way things have been generally and it is affecting everything. If this happens like this, I think the best thing is to just get more once the price goes down lower than the ICO price, as one way or the other you will still be winning a lot from the whole thing anyway in the long run.I mean there should be some regulations at least in this forum level so that people and their contribution may remain secured. Some study finds out only 8% of ICOs keep their word and projects and others are leaving of their project in the middle for various reasons which may be including intentional drop-out too.
