This happens to me once 2 days ago and i thought it was just an isolated problem. Since it fixed by closing the Idena wallet (end task via task manager) then i wait for 5 mins and run the wallet again and it working normally once again.
It could be your internet connection fluctuated. Im trying to replicate the problem to see the real root of this.
We could have a signature when we are out of the test net and IDENA is already in the market, right now it's still word of the mouth and promoting the announcement thread, but once hit the market, dev could go full blast marketing, I'm not dropping here in the announcement thread to look for a new project for over the year, because of the so many weak projects, I'm just lucky to have found this project.
Sig Campaign is a good idea, But it should be done as early as now and before exchange listing. this is to attract real supporters for the project and limit multiple account joiners.
It would be nice to see some campaign for Idena in bitcointalk forum.
Best thing would be signature campaign, and I am sure some people would gladly do that.

I had the same problems, a couple of penalties because the idena node was frozen, giving a message in a loop, don't remember what the message said.
I tried to open another port and specify it on the command line with --port --ipfsport and there is no difference in the amount of peers obtained.
However, for the last 48 hours the node has not frozen and is working fine.

I agree, it's more effective to use a bounty signature campaign than social media. But if so then limit the participation of the minimum rank member so that it does not become spam that can be abused by newbie accounts.

So far based on my calculation i am getting 2-3 idena per hour, is it the normal rewards? My current status now is newbie and i dont know if status plays a role in mining rewards.
51840 (daily distribution) * 50% (mining reward percentage) / 24h/ 187 (number of miners with online mining status) = 5,77 DNA/hThat makes sense now, I thought at first the older the epoch age the higher the % in mining. So rewards are equally shared to all online miners at a time of block creation.
Still waiting for the validation and still checking my connections, so far 8 to 20 peers sometimes I'm hitting 35 peers, so far so good I never want to experience that penalty again I hope with a new node, peers will not go down to 1 peer again,

Run your wallet everyday to make sure everything will be ok on the next validation and so you can spot any errors before the validation day. About the logo it looks ok to me.

I regret that I did not read the faq provided, but now I understand and will not repeat it.

Current mining penalty is equal to 45,188 DNA = 7,8h of mining.And time to mine penalty is constant (~8h) because mining speed and mining penalty is based on the same variable which is number of online nodes. No matter how big the network will grow.
My node is having penalty issue too. I've revived 3 of them yesterday. Good thing is that penalties does not sum up. I still have 45 DNA do mine ... not ~90 (3x45 minus minted while node was running)

I have from 10 to 20 peers after my upgrade I failed to validate the last time, like what I posted I have 60 worth of DNA penalties when I still have 1 peer, these penalties should not happen if we have a good number of peers, so let's see in the coming validation and after that if we are going to still have penalties, I am monitoring my peers connection but it's not disconnecting for the last two days, I hope it will keep up when I am mining again.

Out of this project, for now, got 600 DNA waited for the validation of the whole week and have sync it daily so that when the times comes for validation I only have few blocks to sync, but today after upgrading my nodes not getting any peers, I missed the validation now and until now it's not syncing although I have a good connection, this is one issue that should be addressed if devs wants to see positive reviews and movement of adoption.
My first validation went smoothly and now i am validated and already start mining. Current peer count 37 - 42 peers at a time. I was able to update to the latest version few minutes before the validation starts and encounter no issues with syncing.

Now my wallet is syncing again I have updated the node to it's the latest version before the start of the recent validation, still wondering why it did not sync in time for the validation guess I need an activation code again, have requested it again to the first guy who gave me my first code, I would have to wait for 5 days more to get validate again.
