you are right that bitcoin will never go to die because bitcoin is very much stronger currency and a lot of people adopting bitcoin in huge amount day by day and bitcoin will be get more stronger so we can not say that bitcoin will be die tomorrow.
Even without many people adopting Bitcoin there is no way Bitcoin will vanish. There are just a few nodes and miners needed to keep Bitcoin running.
There isn't much needed to keep the network up and running, that's the beauty of Bitcoin. Right now the network is so secure, that there is nothing that can break through the network.
Add the fact that the network is only getting stronger which will make it even harder for new technologies to dent Bitcoin. We're safe.
We are safe only as long as Bitcoin remains tiny
If Bitcoin is set to get more traction in the future supported by its explosive adoption, it will necessarily affect a lot of small countries. Should Bitcoin banks emerge as well as agree between themselves on issuing paper bitcoins (let's call them Bitcoin dollars) and offer a bullet-proof system of control over the issuance of these new dollars at that (as to me, that would make Bitcoin into a killer currency), people in developing countries will start valuing them higher than real dollars. Given the propensity of the governments in these countries to devalue their local currencies more often than not, the population will be saving Bitcoin dollars for purchasing anything of value (e.g. cars, homes, etc), leaving the local currency only for daily expenses. Such crowding-out could potentially cause catastrophic inflation of that currency, and that's when the governments might start heavy fighting with Bitcoin and its use in their whereabouts
