This is a little unrealistic but let's just assume this happened. I think I'd hold onto my bitcoins and even buy some more. There's a possibility that after most people dump their bitcoin, the bitcoin's price will go high. I'd sell my bitcoins then when its price goes back to 400$.
Yes, this is highly unlikely to happen. The price will never dip too much. Unless and until there is a big big collapse in the bitcoin economy or internet goes offline. We are moving towards $1000 price, so there is no room for any fall, over all.

Isnt that scenario very hard? I know I would buy a hell lot of bitcoins just to have them and also a lot more people would buy from the same reason.

If bitcoin falls that low then I will surely buy lots of coins and keep it safe for the future as I am very sure that bitcoin will rise in future too.

It depends on if the bitcoin still has hope, if it does not, I will sell before it touches $1. If it does, I will buy a lot.

If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do?
Nothing. Because, along with bitcoin, price of essential commodities will drop as well. So, the purchasibility will remain same. Gain will be for those, who are HODLing dollar.

Huh? You really think the bitcoin market has any relation to the major ones? It's traded by a few thousand people on exchanges run by guys who keep the private keys in their mother in law's cupboard.

Exactly what the title says.

If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do? Buy more and hold, sell? Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?

I personally would buy more bitcoin.
just like dash or monero, bitcoin will have any fans and holder, impossible if bitcoin lost their fans because the price gong drop, and i'm alos will keep being bitcoin holder, what ever the price going to be.

Dropping of $1 is not a big matter. Bitcoin has dropped to a big level at times, even during those times of decrease bitcoin users are still following with positive hope. This is the thing that made bitcoin worthy among all the digital currencies.

Keep using... as usual.

Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?
ETH, which was released with a pre-defined value, has no limit on its supply and centrally controlled, is a promising altcoin ?

That can't be really good if that price falls that hard. It will be big time wasting to keep busy with Bitcoins when that will be the Bitcoin price. The total supply isn't also large enough to handle such low price.

Probably, at first I was very scared and I will become hysterical because of the loss of my savings. But then I try to buy as much as possible Bitcoin, in the hope of growth.

I don't think that bitcoin will once again go down to $1, it will go at more height and if it came down then i think it will come to only $250 and not more down,
And if it came to $1, then those people who have lost their money with that will never ever believe on it again to invest there only a few peopel who do not have collected before will buy it to see their luck in the future. and those who have earn better with trading even in the time of drop, will buy it.

I don't think that bitcoin will fall to $250 in coming years, maximum low I feel that it can be around $300 and nothing below then that, but $1 seems to be impossible.

I would buy as many as i could get my hands on, like thousands..... Bitcoin is not going to ever cost a $1 again.  roman coins that are thousands of years old and even pre Eu coins go for more than that......

I would make sure to buy a lot of coins if the price would go this low. For me bitcoin has proven it is a reliable asset.
So eventually the price will go up again.

it's very simple. if the price drops to $1 then i will buy as many coins as i can and save them up for a very long time. i will definitely not buy another coin.
I thought it was not that easy dude if the price drops bitcoin very drastic of course many people will lose because they sell at low prices. is they would trust more to bitcoin? I think many people will not take the risk again to buy a lot of bitcoin. for their trauma got a whopping great dross. the effect of the price drop will certainly feel

if bitcoin could ever go down to $1 i would then make sure to buy at least 500 bitcoin because in worst case scenario it can only go up to $5 and that is already 5x profit:D

but i don't know why we are even talking about this when the price is strongly headed towards $500 and higher!!

I don't think that Bitcoin's price will dropp to 1$ in the nearest future at least. But if this happened i think i will not be able to use it as much as nowadays , but i will continue supporting it without doubt

I would probably dump all my coins as there would be no hope of it to rise from $1 just like what happened in 2014 when the price dropped from $1000 to $250. After 2 years also the price hasn't reached $1000.

I will never do that, I will never dump my coins even if it falls back, I will have faith in it and will continue to hold for few more years hoping that it will rise again in future.
