I think bitcoin is not under the control of government so its something difficult to legalised bitcoin in such countries where there is no permission of bitcoin investment. I know you heard about the success of bitcoin therefore your desire for its investment increases so may be in coming years the government of Bangladesh accept bitcoin because hopes sometimes come true.

I will suggest that if bitcoin is banned in your country then you should select some other way for investment because setting hopeless and do not select another way does not suited well. If you choose another way of investment so whenever bitcoin become legalized in your country then take profit from that investment and put it into bitcoin. But if it does not legalized in your country after years then you can choose another country where bitcoin is allowed for investment.

As a Bangladeshi I have a dream cherished inside my heart, but in reality it is not possible to realize my dream. My house is located near a popular bridge in Bangladesh and on both sides of the bridge there are parks and sightseeing spots for travelers. My father has organized a food hotel next to that sightseeing spot. I sometimes spend some time in that hotel between studies. I've been nursing a dream for as long as I've been on Bitcoin forums. If Bitcoin was legalized in Bangladesh, I would take a payment system through Bitcoin with a pizza restaurant.
But my dreams will remain dreams because Bitcoin will never be legalized by the government in my country.
Is it illegal to use Bitcoin in Bangladesh? I mean, will they arrest you if you stick a B logo on your wall with Payment Accepted text? If that's the law, maybe laws aren't that much enforced in Bangladeshi? Keep your attention on that. I know it's probably not ethically the right thing to suggest but governments do absolutely more shit.

Btw bitcoin payments in your pizza restaurant won't increase sales because usually there is little to no demand on them in real life. Bitcoin payments are usually more popular on e-commerce websites in the USA and it includes some gray-area items.

Well, don't be so negative, bitcoin adoption is something that is still coming through little by little, you don't expect it to happen over night, bitcoin is not also legal in several parts of the world, as we speak, only two countries have officially legalized bitcoin and made it a legal tender, more countries will follow in the future, and you can't be so sure that bitcoin will never be legal in Bangladesh, except you guys are been ruled by a permanent government, which I highly doubt, but even if it be true, when such a government see that alot of other, even bigger countries have introduced and legalized bitcoin payment in their system, they will have no choice but to change their mind on their stance with Bitcoin.

Yes, the legalization of bitcoin is still happening, and we will soon see all the countries that will accept bitcoin someday in the near future. I remember a few years ago when bitcoin was banned in most countries, and people were also very scared and pessimistic about the future of bitcoin because of the huge embargo. But things are changing too fast as more and more institutions, corporations, and businesses start to accept bitcoin, and then countries, especially two countries have made it a legal tender. So we should not be pessimistic and just wait, I believe it is only a matter of time before bitcoin is used globally.

Sinbad Mixer: Mix Your BTC Quickly
I hope your dreams come true at some point but to be honest I don't believe that Bitcoin will be legalized in Bangladesh anytime soon. As we know the government has a negative stance towards Bitcoin and don't like it because they are unable to tax and control it. I mean it is possible that regulations may be introduced eventually about taxing it but it will likely take time.

Instead of waiting for Bitcoin to be legalized, I suggest pursuing your dreams through alternative means. Don't let a specific currency dictate your aspirations as it is beyond your control. My suggestion is to start your own business and generate your income through your local currency and It'll be better if you consider investing a part of your earning in Bitcoin. Over time, this could be very good for both you and your business and when Bitcoin is eventually legalized you can adapt to the Bitcoin transaction system.

I hope you'll achieve your dream one and best of luck! Smiley

You can fulfill your dreams but it has to be cyclical. Your pizza restaurant dream will come true but you will have to accept fiat money and send that money out of the country from where you will receive bitcoin again.
You can also store bitcoins in other ways, such as collecting bitcoins with a fiat portion of profits and holding them for a long time. Then your dream will come true and since Bitcoin is illegal in your country then you go ahead to fulfill your dream. And don't stop working, keep going. And keep accepting bitcoins like this with honest courage.
That would be kinda costly for the OP if you think about it. Running a business has plenty of processes and let alone having a pizza business to be specific. Being able to hodl Bitcoin would be the last thing that you could possibly worry about considering that there would be plenty of stuffs to talk about such as auditing. There might be questionable stuffs when you start to accept crypto so suddenly unless you're just into small businesses which is another discussion.

@OP I would not risk getting myself behind the bars if I were you. Good thing that your ISPs hasn't banned every crypto sites including this forum though so at least you got that.

You own the pen
Your dream isn’t impossible. You say that you’re from Bangladesh, eventually with the fiat banking system starting to show signs of failure, nations could he forced to be kinder to bitcoin or be in real trouble. Bangladeshi currency isn’t very strong, government may be forced to buy bitcoin as a hedge. They may have to do similar to what El Salvador is doing to make things better. Your dream is not impossible.

Suppose most countries don't recover because of the current economic depression. In that case, I think they will consider legalizing bitcoins forcefully to save their country's economy because they will search for alternatives if problems ever occur. After all, it leaves them no choice when their people are starving, and they have nothing to replace the continued crashing of their national currency. Bangladesh will be one of those countries that will legalize bitcoins if ever they will get affected badly by this inflation, and they can't do anything about it if they care about their people.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin

If you want to achieve something in life, even when it is not feasible, you should be positive about it, a system cannot continue forever, fiat was not the means of exchange back then in the late 80s and early 90s but today it is been accepted worldwide but it is having its own demerit and that is why you will found out that almost the banks are now dishing out CBDC which in my opinion is not difference from the regular fiat we are using. Either the government accepts or rejects Bitcoin now, one day they recognized how important it is for the future and your dream will be actualized as long as you are still alive.

as per your country, I am not sure if there is certainty regarding the legality of Bitcoin status, if you have the means to buy and hold, it will do you good instead of waiting forever, you can do the little you know you can right now and do the rest later when there is feasibility on the legality.

OP, never is a very long time.... and nobody knows what is going to happen in the future. A lot of things can still happen... your country might go into a state op hyper inflation and in times like that, governments have to consider other "currency" options.  Wink

You should never give up on your dreams and you should also not forget that you can use your bitcoins in many other countries where it is legal.  Wink

I had a dream......  Cheesy

I completely agree with you. Even if it appears impossible, we must be positive that Bitcoin will be legal in your country in the future. Perhaps their government simply does not understand the value of Bitcoin and how it contributes to the development of their economy. The volatility of Bitcoin will gradually decrease over time, so that even a single institution selling its assets will not be able to lower the price. If the government saw this, surely there's a big chance to be legalized especially if other countries are now ready to do it. For the time being, you can either utilize a VPN or buy Bitcoin and altcoins while you wait.

You use the word will never be legalized by the government in your country, maybe for now it has not been legalized, who knows in the next 5 years or 10 years you can take a payment system via Bitcoin with a pizza. There is no dictatorship in your country like what happened in North Korea which always makes its citizens subject to the rules it makes, your country's ideology is based on democracy (please correct me if I'm wrong) which is all possible if passed in law.
Currently Bitcoin is only considered as a commodity asset that can be traded on Exchange, when your country discovers the huge content contained in Bitcoin they will open up a little space in Bitcoin as the El Salvador government once did, when that time comes your dream will come true.

The process to endure before it becomes legalized is what we are faced with. Several governments like that of the US want to be able to have a control of it, inorder to access transactions and trades that might otherwise be for terror purposes. The government wants to have data about its users and how funds move. They want to also tax payments while doing this and have a general stake.

It would be almost everyones dream even for those whose countries are yet to be as dogged as the US government, because the ease at which transaction would fly, the ease at which other developments and innovations waiting on the approval of BTC to become accepted is numerous too.

But my dreams will remain dreams because Bitcoin will never be legalized by the government in my country.
It's too much uncertain to be legalized Bitcoin because there have some limitations why government don't like Bitcoin and other digital currencies. As it's decentralized, anonymous and secured so if government legalize it they will not be able to implement tax regulations, will not have control on Bitcoin transections or assets and will fall bad impact on Banks.
Government also thinks Bitcoin as a Risky assert because it's price can be manipulated extremely and has high volatility.

So we can't say accurately if Bitcoin will be legalized or not in our country. And I appreciate this idea to make Bitcoin as a payment system for your business. But always respect the Government rules first. I think the good days for Bitcoin will come.

Speaking this year it is clear that it will not happen. In addition to the legal process which is quite time-consuming, you don't need to judge that this dream will not come true. It is possible that in the next 5 to 10 years it will be realized. After all, no one knows what it will be like later. Moreover, Blockchain technology plays an important role in the future regarding the internet and access to all digital transactions. Currently every country still doesn't dare to legalize Bitcoin but some of them have started little by little. The process will continue to be faced and don't give up. Bitcoin is here to stay both now and in the future. That means the possibility of adopting the use of Bitcoin is increasingly trusted.

You don't have to start accepting bitcoin your business as means of payment because this won't increase your gains in any way.

I believe what will change your life is buying bitcoin and holding it for a long period of time for massive value in the future, why should you care so much about accepting bitcoin as means of payment in your business because all what this is going to do is create crypto and bitcoin awareness for your customers nothing more than that.

There is no way this will benefit your business because bitcoin is not even well accepted throughout the world right now

@OP don't worry you don't need to live in Bangladesh if you want to open a business accepting Bitcoin payment, you can move into other countries which have declare Bitcoin as a currency e.g. El Salvador and Central African Republic.

However you don't have to accept Bitcoin if you want to open a business, there's not really different if your business is successful and you can invest that money to buy Bitcoin.

That's a nice suggestion, payment is payment whether in Bitcoin or fiat, what matters is the growth of his business. But, he may have a different reason for his actions and could at the moment focus on his father's food business. In a sense, OP is looking at beginning the business to accept and promote bitcoin to tourists and visitors in Bangladesh. I don't think his dream is building a pizza business, without bitcoin as a payment method. If not he would have done that long ago and wait until bitcoin get legalized in his country then he'll Integrate the payment method. Things can change in future, maybe he thinks about it and begin from somewhere.

I fear that the OP may be too old or that it may be too late for him to archive that dream if he decides to wait until Bitcoin is legalized in his country. What if it's after 40 years that Bitcoin gets legalized? Let's assume that the OP is already 25 or more. Then he will be very old. They say no time is too late to start, but common sense says it's not so impressive to start exercising in old age. The fact that Bitcoin is not legal in his country means OP cannot force it because of the implications of government policies.
If he starts to run the business, his dreams won't come through until bitcoin becomes a legal tender in his country. I'd say that Op's main purpose of creating this thread is to share his wish of seeing bitcoin legalized in his country. Then he can set up a pizza restaurant and sell to tourists in his country and promote bitcoin to them. But like a user said, even if bitcoin get legalized in his country it doesn't mean he'll be getting paid with bitcoin all the time. Because not everyone would want to spend or purchase things with bitcoin. So, it's as good as saying that OP wants to enjoy the feeling that comes with pasting on his store “BITCOIN IS ACCEPTED"

Hey mate from that side of the world, you are just making story that can be realistic in real life and not in dream even now. Now the question is do you have bitcoin in your possession? And of yes how do you use it. Do you sell? And if yes, how do you sell them? The same way you are selling them can be used to sell you Pizza business. Most of the people in n this forum come from a country that do not accept bitcoin just like my country but we are using bitcoin in a maximum way. We don't even mind the government with the policy of banning bitcoin.

So what I am saying is that you can use p2p to do you business. Just inform your friends that you that you are accepting bitcoin in your business and also others that coming to the shop. Inform everyone so that anyone who is interested can come and patronize you.
