Ethereum is the king? Are you joking? Even the value of bitcoin is continuously decreasing in the market, I can never think that ethereum was take over the position of bitcoin as a king of all crytocurrencies. But if suddenly happen it, I need to accept that fact.

BTC will never ever sink and it is the king now and forever. You are confusing the hard fork situation with win-win race stuff. The thing it is just creating two different currencies and one will be for sure bigger one than other gaining more value. It doesn't matter which one but it will be more than ETH for sure.

It can happen for the Temporary time until the Bitcoin problem is not solved then the Bitcoin which gets strong support will bounce back and will  be leading it back. Like ETH first it went down and after some time it bounced back and created new ATH that everyone knows it.
I am not sure bitcoin will manage to overcome such a thing as a hard fork. Especially if both versions will have many miners on their side. That would mean there btc would be at least two times less powerful and that will make eth better if of course it does not lead to the death of cryptoworld because of major panic and thus result in economic crisis.

So what you mean is that what ever happening is to just kill the bitcoin and rise the ETH popularity but i dont think that big whales will make Bitcoin die. If the Segwit2x implementation gets success then their wont be necessary for hardfork thus it will make Bitcoin more strong and the price will go up. So now their is all chances of anything can happen.

NO

BTC will not sink, if there is a fork, the winning fork will take the place of BTC as we see it now.

Bitcoin will no go down that easy and beside ethereum is a different algo, whatever the outcome of that fork Bitcoin will emerge stronger again. people are panic selling for no reason at all only those who do not know the history of Bitcoin will  sell their coin and in the end will blame themselves for doing so.

BTC is now the base.

Most of the exchanges have BTC as prime currency to trade with.

If BTC will have the hard fork, means BTC will sink.

Is that means that all exchanges will now put ETH as prime coin to trade with?
Its not ,Bitcoin will remain and after a successful fork bitcoin will be even more better in transactions .Bitcoins will not sink ,its like Eth and Etc had a fork already.

Maybe because ETH is widely used by bounty campaigners for their token. ETH may have a potential to pass BTC when btc go down. Let's see till august 1 what will happen .
With bitcoins transaction fee issues and confirmation times, I would not be surprised to see Ethereum volume to increase dramatically. ETH will be the new king.

there i no if and there is no hard fork.
there is only a soft fork for bitcoin on August which will activate SegWit because it currently has a very high support from the miners (nearly 90% support and it only needs 80% so it is already over the mark). and when it activates like this there won't be another chain. there WILL BE ONE chain only and price will rise up faster than you can blink.

even if bitcoin dies right now, nobody will switch to a shitcoin like ETH. nobody even trust ETH anymore. everyone knows how unreliable its network is. how their transactions are going to be stuck and their money to disappear easily because it is buggy. exchanges have already disabled ETH wallets. and as you can see ETH price is dropping hard.

the second best thing (like always) is litecoin and always will be litecoin. and if someday we decide to replace bitcoin we will do it with LTC but that day will never come as i said by August 1 we will have a smooth 100% soft fork without a chain split.

Calling Ethereum a shitcoin is just making no sense..

It is faster the bitcoin and almost every new coin/token is based on Ethereum for a reason...

Agreed. The impact of hardfork is temporary. The primary/winning coin will bounce back and get stronger.

LTC will be the new king Smiley

LTC and ETH may not be the new king of the crypto world, I'm still very sure BTC will be the first in Crypto, only now they have trouble with this August 1 issue, maybe after that maybe he'll wake up and become A Big Bubble for the future, let's We see how BTC will bounce back and touch high prices.

Nothing is impossible ,, if btc continues like this and there is no development of it, then other competitors are not only eth only, but other altcoin which also has good potential like Ltc and monero could be his successor

btc is the first cryptocurrency based on blockchain, and it has a special position in many people's heart, but the reality is new comer prefer eth, since eth can give more profit, and eth itself has a strong function and also run successfully for several years, i think eth will surpass btc in the future, even if btc has no spilit

That would be the dream. Who knows, people could sell off their BTC for ETH or everyone could just sell their BTC for fiat and buy back into BTC at a later date. It could go either way, ETH could flip. There is no way of predicting what will happen.

I don't think so, The hardfork will be running in less than 12 hours for the BIP148, I mean the BIP148 will be deployed. But the ethereum will be a good place to save your money as far as i know to avoid the more dump in bitcoin.
I think the possibility is there.
