My opinion remains unchanged, as are the pioneers of the cryptocurrency market.  Bitcoin is the very first cryptocurrency and bitcointalk is the very first form that brought together all cryptocurrency users.  But we must take into account the fact that the cryptocurrency market is growing and there are more and more users.  It is thanks to this that information about cryptocurrency is distributed everywhere and sounds on different social networks.  Therefore, bitcointalk will not be the only forum where cryptocurrencies will be discussed, but it will still be the most important among all social networks.

It is unlikely that in reality something would have changed. I think on BTT will remain quite a lot of people

If Bitcointalk is dead because "core bitcoin community moved from Bitcointalk to Reddit" then
who are all these people now having discussions on Bitcointalk? Asking for a friend..

Do you have any basis for this statement of yours, or any link for this things?
Because, if I am going to get my opinion, bitcointalk forum is the best of all forum I know
in online platform. And you shouldn't compare bitcointalk to reddit, because BTT helped many people
in terms of financial problems.

no he dont . its only a what if'  .  these what if's wont happen anymore because bitcointalk forum is now matured and it wont make no sense that people here will migrate on other forums that are smaller when compared to where bitcointalk forum was now.

bitcointalk forum is the best forum when it comes to bitcoin talks or crypto talks because we have all the original source. however this forum does not intend to solved financial problems because this is not a charity that gives free money or donations to the poor

Is this your tought, or where did you draw this conclusion or speculation?
You should go to the according threads and sections of this forum , there are lots of people here who were here at the beginning and still are here.
And what is up with this " asking for a friend? " are you afraid of criticism ?

I was about blasting you until I saw that you were asking for a friend.  the reedit that he is talking of, I can’t even remember the last time I ever opened it and secondly, there are more opportunities in bitcoin talk than there is in reedit I guess, and talking of reedit, people will better associate with bitcoin talk more because it was created by satoshi himself and you know that people have very high respect for him and they trust more of what he created when it comes to cryptocurrency than any other platform that has something related to cryptocurrency.

You need to also consider the type of discussion that is being discussed in the reddit compared to what is being discussed here, are people even able to participate in bounty projects as much as they do here.

I prefer staying here, I am more familiar in a forum than on Reddit, I do not have an account on Reddit even though it's one of the most popular social media on the internet, I like the category structure of a forum than on Reddit.

Bitcointalk is associated with Bitcoin I don't think it will just die like that if Bitcoin dies then we have nothing to talk here.
as long as we have Bitcoin then this forum will go on.

Part of the community has already moved to Reddit, but nevertheless, in fact, nothing has changed. Now 2 community and in this there is nothing bad

Agree. There are just many topics out there in reddit which is not just cryptocurrency so perhaps that is why some members form here prefer spending their time on reddit. But for me, I personally feel that local community here in bitcointalk is much more active so I still choose bitcointalk than reddit. I still also see legendary members that are posting and contributing so I don't think the statement is true.

I think this forum will never stop! your approximations about this forum is  totally wrong! this platform is the best platform for know about crypto-currencies world and discussion about world of crypto-currencie.
This forum will never stop. as you said "this forum is the best platform for knowledge about cryptocurrencies and discussion about the world of cryptocurrencies"

I don't think there is another place that is better than here, another place just to complement IMO

I hope it won't. Bitcointalk has it's special climate. I like being here despite this forum being a little too basic and too simple. There are some really great forums with features chats emoticons but bitcointalk is still popular and has its charm. I prefer it over reddit.

I don't think the community would move to reddit. They would ask for a new forum that would be only about cryptocurrencies. I'd rather stop using forums than move to reddit.

Bitflate developer
I create and launch an altcoin. I find that bitcointalk is the most welcoming and diverse community. Other communities are plague with extreme views, tribal and herd mentality. I got down voted on reddit and mostly ignored. Some Bitcoin Core developers are scammy and dumb just like everyone else. People moving off bitcointalk to other communities has an advantage. There's less scam on bitcointalk.

I don't think that Bitcointalk forum is bad. It is still doing very good. But I can't say the same thing for 'Bitcoin Discussion' section. It lost its quality on a large scale compared to the old times.

There must be a reason why people will move out here, everything is going great here, nothing I can't think of I dread that if it will happen, I still prefer forum, I am more familiar on a forum structure compare to Reddit, and I'm pretty sure many shares the same opinion, so I just look for the next big forum if ever that happen, but that is still far fetched.

I don't see Reddit as good as this forum to handle such kind of information,
reddit is one of the top sites these days . they cant become top if they arent good right ?  but i can see reddit as a general forum and dont foccus on one topic  . while bitcointalk forum only foccus on bitcoin or cryptocurrency but there is also an off topic for some small general discussion   .

but let say if btc devs or satoshi himself chose reddit , then no problem with that  . we can still have those healthy discussions on there .

This forum will never just go away for the following reasons :

1. It is a treasure trove of information on Bitcoin
2. It contains original posts and discussions with Satoshi Nakamoto.
3. It is a good source of advertisement income for the stakeholders.
4. It provides for a platform where normal Bitcoin users can receive bitcoin for their contributions
5. It is very helpful resources for newbies.
6. It is a global platform, where people can interact in their own language and with their own people.
7. It is not a scam site.

Why would a brilliant resource like this, just die?

Absolutely true! And to be honest the forum is a very valuable and premier knowledge-base in all things crypto! I humbly admit that

I owe a lot of what i had learned on this forum and still continues to enjoy having an everyday learning experience with it and not

on any other social media platforms like reddit which up to now I find that its not even user friendly to ordinary users just like me.

Do you take own research?
OP somehow did his research and you can see in his previous reply (quoted below) why he/she initially thought of that.

Where did you get that impression? I’d genuinely be interested in knowing the arguments that back the assertion stated in the OP, as well as the scope of "core" in it’s context.

I got this impression from several sources. Some related to tracking sentiment on Bitcoin generally for prospective investors. Others for marketing and promoting ICO and STO projects.
And in Feb there was a piece about a third of referrals dropping in one month to bitcointalk.org

Have you even ever been to reddit? The comments section is pretty much all memes and unrelated shit.
It's not that there are no memes and unrelated shit here but yes, those types of comments is what I usually see on reddit.

I don't see Reddit as good as this forum to handle such kind of information, the structure here is way better
But talking about importance of btc devs, it's something to think about, yes, sure

My two cents, this forum have the most important community of cryptos and will be the most trustable and important for a long time, everyday we have new stuff to become a better forum, and with this system of rankings make this the best place to post and participate

Oh, and mr Satoshi founded here Cheesy

The quality of posts on reddit is not much better than btt tbh. I'd say it is worse. BTT became a sig spammers' nest in the last few years but the new ranking system is hopefully going to fix this.

"If core bitcoin community moved from Bitcointalk to Reddit then.." it will result to chaos since Reddit cannot handle efficiently the total amount of information over since its creation. Moreover the idea of migrating all existing data from bitcointalk to reddit is ridiculous!

I find Reddit a piece of shit. It astonishes me that it's so popular considering how agonisingly unwieldy it is. I find it impossible to find half remembered posts from 12 hours ago sometimes, let alone years.

It feels like one of those things that's tolerated simply because it's been around for so long but if you proposed it today you'd get punched in the tits for the mediocrity of your proposal.

If the community ever really did go full Reddit I'd leave the community to it for good.

Same here. I hate how some valuable posts get downvoted and disappear, just because people don't agree with them. This doesn't make them spam, nor trolling, they are just controversial and this gives the majority the right to make them disappear. How should we call it? The Reddit democracy?
That's not even half of the problems I have with Reddit. Even the structure of threads and replies is annoying. You can't see everything and simply scroll down one by one, no, they had to make it more difficult.

reddit already has a more advanced "merit system" and it had it for years! it is the voting system that all topics and comments have. it is more advanced because you can both upvote and downvote any post there instead of just upvote (giving merit) and also it has the ability to sort comments based on the most upvoted.

A positive reward system like upvoting and meriting is great, but allowing for downvoted posts to be hidden is negative and abusive IMO. I wouldn't call what we have on Reddit more advanced.
