Currently, every bit earned in Bitcoin and on Binance through staking and the launchpools, which till recently were quite profitable, is being kept intact, just like a savings account for long-term investment purposes.

Cryptocurrencies are now deeply rooted in our finances and our daily lives; such a scenario would be devastating, but thankfully, this is a completely hypothetical scenario.

I assume I wouldn't be alive anymore because if someone can kill all blockchains, it probably means he has to nuke the entire world and make sure all computers are hit as well. It is just not going to happen, why so hypothetical? It's fine to ask that question, but I wonder how people can seriously take the timer to answer it without making clear that it is not how it'll work out. It would literally mean that the entire planet ceases to exist, or that all technology blows up as if there was a timer, or whatever.

I believe the day all technology ceases to exist, which is essentially what you are asking because why would digital assets cease to exist, humanity is in big trouble. Everything is going digital, algorithms and technology will become more robust over time and with that given, digital money will be around in one form or another. Since decentralized money is truly the one form that nobody can at their will destroy, it is most likely that if all digital money disappears because you can destroy hard drives, Bitcoin is the one that will still be around. Someone may be able to destroy a few hard drives, but not of millions ion people and one copy would be enough to restore it.

P.S. To those who are saying it won't happen, no one implied it will; it's a hypothetical scenario.

I also never understood these totally made up scenarios, like how could they all disappear at the same time?
What are we going to have, no internet? I mean it's clear that we can't have crypto gone forever, not overnight at least, it would take years for that to happen, slowly dying and never recovering and that would mean that we would have time to move away from crypto and move into something else.

This is why I believe that we need to make sure all is well and not having any issues at all. If we keep focusing on how this could be an issue then we are not going to get anything good done. The reality is that we are going to face this to be something normal, and nothing big, and because of that we should feel fine.

If you keep thinking about something big, then we are not going to get good results because if you keep thinking they could go away at any moment, then how can you invest easily without worries? You will keep on worrying and the result will not be good at all.

We need to consider that this one is a good result and this means that it is going to get a good result with time. Hopefully, crypto will never disappear, but if that ever happens, it will take years for it to happen.

They will be alot of problems to people mostly people that has already stored different cryptocurrency, and some persons will develop trauma in their life because they invested in cryptocurrency with their hard earn money, Theirs something I notice in people, if p2p sto existing everywhere I know very well that many people will be discounted for accept cryptocurrency investment, and many more may die on the process because their hope and faith has being with cryptocurrency, but let me use myself as part of the illustration, I will not get depressed that much because I have not much in cryptocurrency my business will continue to sustain me.

That's a bad imagination to have because without Bitcoin this forum will lose interest as there's nothing to discuss about again and slowly we'll stop logging in if the forum still exists after Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency seize to exist. I'll lose everything I have because I still have all my money in cryptocurrency and have no investments outside of cryptocurrency. Reading this thread has made me to think about my life choice again as I wanted to have all my money in cryptocurrency but certainly I have to start investing in other things just incase something like this happened in the future. I don't believe it can happen but the future is unpredictable and we can't just hope Bitcoin will last forever. I have always wanted to start up a business outside of cryptocurrency but wanted to make more profits from hodling before I start selling my cryptocurrency for money for other investments.

I imagined a situation where cryptocurrencies would disappear as if it had never happened and I will try to answer honestly.

It will not change my life in any way. As any supporter of cryptocurrencies, I have high hopes for the future of this sphere (which is likely to happen), but at the moment cryptocurrencies don't affect my life in any way. All my financial activity (like most people around me) occurs in the traditional financial system and cryptocurrencies seem to exist, but somewhere there and separately. There are no goods or services paid for with cryptocurrencies in the immediate vicinity. How can something change my life that doesn't exist in this life in principle (if we abstract from investments and talk about everyday actions)?

It doesn't. I want to say that it is too early to ask questions about the disappearance of cryptocurrencies and the impact of this event on subsequent life, when cryptocurrencies are very weakly integrated into our lives.

There is nothing like people will move on. How do you think people will move when their money is at stake. Just imagine that you have about $10 million worth of cryptocurrency in your portfolio and you suddenly heard that it is no more in existence. How are you going to feel? Do you think you could easily move on? I think this would lead to financial disaster where people could lost their lives because they might not know where to start from or begin. Even the big banks and firms could go bankruptcy because of it. This would be a big disaster that would take years to be forgetton because we have big firms and banks that has large holdings in cryptocurrency.

The thread was just about another what if discussion and there's no problem at all when discussing something like this. I believe that crypto won't just disappear at all. We can look at the shitcoins, they are there but not gone. However, they're getting low volume and liquidity which seems to be their death. And for that matter, it's very important for someone to look at another source if they're full-time on crypto but as for the traders, they can adopt other markets, stocks, and forex and they'll likely survive. As for me, I'd do other things that I am not used to do so most likely going back from the top to start with.

Cryptocurrency disappearing is tantamount to a death sentence for many people out there.

I don't wanna even imagine about the effect it's gonna get on me. But I know it's not going to be just like anything I have felt before.

Getting broken as a word doesn't actually serve what the situation would look like cause I know how much of an investment funds some of us have literally spread across different cryptocurrencies. And speaking for myself, I am unsure that my life is going to remain same and how long it's gonna take in a recovery process to get back standing tall.

Surely we will manage to move forward even without crypto on our side. But I think the process might be hard most especially that crypto offer a lot of profit opportunities and then suddenly it's gone, that will really leave us in disappointment.

But let's be realistic then. If we can live a good life before crypto existence, then that's highly possible as well when it's gone. And to think that when one door closes, the other opens, so most likely the closure of crypto will pave way for another better version of crypto that everyone of us will be hooked again.

Gotta admit, if cryptocurrencies went poof tomorrow, my life wouldnt totally flip upside down. But Id sure feel a hole where some savings used to be. Put a nice chunk of change into bitcoin over time - were talkin double digit percentage of net worth. Seen how it can pay off, too.

But shoot, even more than the money, Id miss the hope and crypto feels like a peek into the future, full of potential. So much innovation bubbling under the surface. Losing that spark would sting worse than any temporary money loss.

Definitely yes. Everyone will get broken actually except for those who've taken advantage with crypto and have leave the market early. But for us who are still in the process of achieving our wealth through crypto, this will really affect us hardly. But everything will only be hard at first until we get used to it. And find another means better than crypto.

However, at the moment, crypto is still making a huge demand so I don't think this will be gone soon. In fact, this may stay for good if it will be accepted as the global currency in the future.

Dude, why you are spreading this kind of scare to the people's?

I now this will never be happens and hope it will never happens in the future, because we saw the news of sui*ide of people after loosing their whole saving on the crypto, for example in the luna incident.

And talking about my situation if cryptocurrencies disappear my life will change into a redzone which I can't explain, I will in the street for begging or I have to go for physical to live my life. Becaue my life leading depending on cryptocurrencies right now.

Well, I’ve never have to think that such a thing could happen without prior warning. Although, governments constant disapproval or lack of acknowledgement could be the warning we are getting but, I don’t want to entertain that thought right now. Maybe I should but, I don’t want to because of the effect it would have on me.
I wouldn’t want to refer to cryptos as a whole but, would specifically focus on Bitcoin as that’s where am more vested and it’s sure to be devastating. Have so much belief in the idea, have built a life about it and it vanishing would be such that, it would take some time to be vested in anything else of its nature.

We hope crypto will still exist for a long time so we can get the benefit from crypto and change our life into better life.
