I don't find myself using crypto much, so from using it perspective it will change nothing. However, I earn most of my income from crypto, so from that perspective, it'll be gone, I won't mind it though I haven't invested a penny in it, so I'm not that much attached to it.
Nice to read your own perspective, it is pretty much hard for most people to spend bitcoin in real life, because of the unavailability of places to spend their bitcoin. That being said, you said you earn most of your income from crypto, but you didn't invest anything in it, does that mean you immediately convert all the crypto you earn to fiat and other assets? It is rare to see people who earn in crypto, but do not hodl any of it, that is why your perspective caught my eye.

If cryptocurrencies disappear - how will your life change ?

Let's model one situation - tomorrow morning, all cryptocurrencies cease to exist, there are no blockchains, no crypto exchanges, no P2P exchanges, no gates and other things inherent to the crypto market.

I no that cryotocurrency has brought so many good things to most people especially countries were cryotocurrency are generally accepted were majority of people go into it to gather some money and established themselves through the use cryotocurrency either trading or holding but however with the improvement of technology in the world now most people are no longer dependent on cryotocurrency for survival they also have other things they do that often brings money for them and besides there was other business that generate money before cryotocurrency so perhaps if such thing happened people will always look for other means.

Though in as much as people could easily go back to there old ways of doing things there are also people who depends completely on cryotocurrency to make money so those set of people are the only ones that can be affected seriously but for me I don't think there would be any change because there is what we called investment diversification which means that if a particular investment is no longer sustainable you should be able look out for more comfortable business that will give you what you want, so actually if it happens I will pulled my already investment money to some other investment such as landed property or more other business, so actually there are so many business out there but only the challenge to most people will be the capital to startup.

If cryptocurrencies disappear - how will your life change ?

Let's model one situation - tomorrow morning, all cryptocurrencies cease to exist, there are no blockchains, no crypto exchanges, no P2P exchanges, no gates and other things inherent to the crypto market.
Question - what changes will happen in your life ? Just a request - let's be honest and not make things up, but objectively assess how the “disappearance” of cryptocurrencies can affect us?

A lot of unexpected things can happen, and there's a possibility that this thing can happen, and I am fully aware of it. That is why part of my savings is in fiat and gold; we also have a small merchandise store to sustain our daily needs.

Though you may be right that unexpected things can happen in the crypto space but I still believe that Bitcoin has come to stay because you can already see that as time goes by new people are coming in and making it more valuable, so there could only be a little change about Bitcoin but I don't think if there would come a time when it will stop functioning but however having some negative believe sometimes is very good because is one of the things that keeps our mind ready to expect any outcome on the process, so there is nothing wrong with your decision.

If Cryptocurrency disappears, maybe it could happen because of war, and we have to be fully prepared for any eventualities; things will be different from day one onwards because reading about the latest news about Cryptocurrency and participating on forums that deal with Cryptocurrency is my passion and it's my daily habit. I will miss everything about Cryptocurrency; I hope it will not happen in my lifetime; the best part of me is taking part in this technology.

I think without cryptos, there would be huge implications to individuals and to the wider economy if they were to vanish in an instant. The immediate impact, with which heavy investments will strike, is huge financial loss, leading to significant delays or significant savings losses. Disruption in the broader financial sector, including cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain-based enterprises, related industries, job losses, and openings for new opportunities. What is more, new technological developments based on blockchain technology-for instance, supply chain management or digital identity-can be hindered, which therefore slows down the pace of innovation. On the other hand, governments and legislatures had to cope with legal and economic repercussions: investment attacks had to be processed, and the law on finance needed to be revised. Furthermore, users of cryptocurrencies-for trading or investment reasons-would have to return to traditional financial systems, which would make it necessary to adapt payment and wealth management habits. Cultural and social repercussions will damage the crypto community, and it is in the national interest. Innovation and entrepreneurs focused on blockchain projects are bound to revisit existing business-most of which will hurt future opportunities. In sum, the sudden disappearance of cryptocurrencies would have immense economic, technological, and social repercussions-things which reflect deep digital investment in modern finance and technology.

At the moment I’m yet to see the better side of bitcoin with my accumulating process but still the crypto space gained popularity and seeing a lot of OG’s who dedicated their time and sacrificed to own a quality bitcoin portfolio. Disappointment is certain as it’s unusual but, aside crypto we all have our different and unique life to live despite the anger so personal they’re other good investment choice etc especially if such person is an investor such person might probably go for another investment and work towards it.

I agree with your point of view. Seldom would one feel disappointed in an investment journey, most especially on such a volatile region as cryptocurrency. Though Bitcoin has gained a lot of appreciation and publicity from serious investors who have amassed quite a fortune over time, the need is to understand that not all financial systems pass as hassle-free. While Bitcoin has failed to live up to the expectations of some, let's just say that the crypto space remains very alive and buzzworthy. Be that as it may, investing is a deeply personal journey, and there's so much more to investing in than cryptos. Anxious about the Bitcoin market, or that of any other crypto? You'd do well to begin researching newer investment opportunities.

If cryptocurrencies disappear - how will your life change?
My life would change completely, my biggest investments is in bitcoin, so that means i am going to lose a lot; i have diversified my money into different assets but the largest percentage is still in bitcoin, so if i want to sleep well at night, i cannot even conceive the thought of crypto disappearing, lol. Quite a lot of altcoins disappear everyday, but good a thing that bitcoin is different from them and due to its utility, it is not going to disappear the way pump and dump coins do.

I definitely know in life one should learn to accept some certain issues and  with that know that they should expect little or nothing much from life. So In this situation of  cryptocurrency I think I would froen over that cause it's gonna be a huge loss, imagine putting all your assets oj it and such things unfold how is it been tackled.
. imagine putting almost alot or must have invested s huge some into crypto but end up loosing them honestly you won't be happy so that's a more reason you shouldn't put in a 100% in whatsoever you find yourself inorder to break out from unforseen circumstances..

If crypto disappear pending if we are been informed prior to time I think it'll change my life cause have invested alot in it but with this I'll withdraw it and know my next target.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
For a situation like that to occur, we'd need to have a nuclear war, or a massive EMP pulse hit the Earth. For the sake of the thread let's imagine I wake up tomorrow, there's no war, no EMP and no crypto for some reason. I'd think I'm in a dream or something and try to wake myself up, because it's similar to waking up and your house is gone and you're lying on the ground where it used to be.
I'd be shocked and poor, that's it. Most of my money is in bitcoin, so I'd be missing a lot of it.

Cryptocurrency would not disappear, I don't even want to imagine that because the freedom, and efficiency I experience in it can't be gotten from fiat, It would really affect me personally because I have kind of gotten comfortable with it and built my life around it TBH. I got some fair quantity of Bitcoin I'm holding too that would amount to nothing if that's the case, so I'm not buying into that possibility.

Nothing is promised though and there's a possibility, though very slim chances, but it's still possible since there's no guarantee in crypto involvement, only some good possibilities.

If it happens, life continues. I have a digital skill that would continue sustaining me, but I'll surely miss crypto TBH.

firstly my income is totally stopped because now i have no other income source without cryptocurrencies, and my 80% assets in cryptocurrencies because i would love to invest in crypto than other sector, so a big change will come in my life if cryptocurrency will disappear, if i have no real life job so i have to depend on cryptocurrencies.
When your income stops, you will automatically try to find an alternative source of income in order to survive. You will try to find a job yourself or you will try your best to establish a new business system yourself. This is how people provide income systems in order to survive.
right, now if cryptocurrency is one and only income sources so i can surviving but when for some reason if income will stops then i must find an alternative source of income. but personally i am trying to find a job in offline, i badly need to a job because online income is not fixed income of source.

We will go back obviously with traditional financial way of living. But then, as we all know that technology system improves as time passed by, if crypto currency suddenly appears but the way cashless payments will still stay. And if it exists and it suddenly disappears, adjustments were hard that we already aimed economic and social effects as well as the innovations.

I imagined a situation where cryptocurrencies would disappear as if it had never happened and I will try to answer honestly.

It will not change my life in any way. As any supporter of cryptocurrencies, I have high hopes for the future of this sphere (which is likely to happen), but at the moment cryptocurrencies don't affect my life in any way. All my financial activity (like most people around me) occurs in the traditional financial system and cryptocurrencies seem to exist, but somewhere there and separately. There are no goods or services paid for with cryptocurrencies in the immediate vicinity. How can something change my life that doesn't exist in this life in principle (if we abstract from investments and talk about everyday actions)? Smiley It doesn't. I want to say that it is too early to ask questions about the disappearance of cryptocurrencies and the impact of this event on subsequent life, when cryptocurrencies are very weakly integrated into our lives.
What do you mean as if it never happened? Is it the same as if cryptos are never invented? Or you will only try to be more positive and think that cryptos are still there but it is just that you can not interact on them yet? But, no matter what side you choose, I think that was still fine. What matters the most here is that it works for you. Even though we are successful of not downing ourselves too much for what happened, I think it is inevitable that there will still be a change in our lives.

If we can attain a positive change by the time cryptos are invented and we got involved with it, the change that we can experience once they disappeared is we will noticed that our wealth will decline even not too much if we already stacked a lot of money through cryptos before and then we already diversified some of these money in other investment assets.

It may be unnatural at first but we will only get used to this later on. You said you are a supporter of crypto but why say it is likely to happen? I'm confused with that to be honest. If you mean about the future of cryptos, well it is already great. Anyways, the last things that you said should convinced me that you are not really into crypto yet.

If we are treating crypto as a major source of our income, then we will definitely feel broke if ever this will start to disappear. Even myself, I know I will be living quite hard again without crypto in my life, without this forum as well. Lucky are those who have high paying jobs outside crypto or those who have big businesses outside crypto, but for those who are just starting to save through crypto, I would say living life without crypto is never that easy.
Bitcoin (from signature campaigns) and some altcoin earning on Binance account for approximately 1/3 of my total income. It's certainly not my main source of income, nor will I have survivability issues if they supposedly cease existing, but I'd certainly have a hard time. Currently, every bit earned in Bitcoin and on Binance through staking and the launchpools, which till recently were quite profitable, is being kept intact, just like a savings account for long-term investment purposes.

Cryptocurrencies are now deeply rooted in our finances and our daily lives; such a scenario would be devastating, but thankfully, this is a completely hypothetical scenario.

I assume I wouldn't be alive anymore because if someone can kill all blockchains, it probably means he has to nuke the entire world and make sure all computers are hit as well. It is just not going to happen, why so hypothetical? It's fine to ask that question, but I wonder how people can seriously take the timer to answer it without making clear that it is not how it'll work out. It would literally mean that the entire planet ceases to exist, or that all technology blows up as if there was a timer, or whatever.

I believe the day all technology ceases to exist, which is essentially what you are asking because why would digital assets cease to exist, humanity is in big trouble. Everything is going digital, algorithms and technology will become more robust over time and with that given, digital money will be around in one form or another. Since decentralized money is truly the one form that nobody can at their will destroy, it is most likely that if all digital money disappears because you can destroy hard drives, Bitcoin is the one that will still be around. Someone may be able to destroy a few hard drives, but not of millions ion people and one copy would be enough to restore it.

Seriously, we can't underestimate the profound effect that cryptocurrency has had on so many people. People who otherwise had no business of having money (and I mean that figuratively), became wealthy. All because of HODLing. It has helped so many people buy stuff online, and it's helped them do P2P trades to get ahold of cash.
I can totally relate. I have a quite reasonable amount of money in cryptocurrencies, the majority in Bitcoin, the rest in BNB and USDC, and a tiny portion in some random altcoins. The total portfolio value exceeds more than double of my yearly salary; thus, if cryptocurrencies suddenly ceased to exist, I'd be living only on my salary and my savings, which, due to inflation, are hardly increasing anymore. Cryptocurrencies, and especially Bitcoin, play a vital role in our daily lives, even if we're not using it on a daily basis similarly to a fiat currency.

P.S. To those who are saying it won't happen, no one implied it will; it's a hypothetical scenario.

I also never understood these totally made up scenarios, like how could they all disappear at the same time?
What are we going to have, no internet? I mean it's clear that we can't have crypto gone forever, not overnight at least, it would take years for that to happen, slowly dying and never recovering and that would mean that we would have time to move away from crypto and move into something else.

This is why I believe that we need to make sure all is well and not having any issues at all. If we keep focusing on how this could be an issue then we are not going to get anything good done. The reality is that we are going to face this to be something normal, and nothing big, and because of that we should feel fine.

If you keep thinking about something big, then we are not going to get good results because if you keep thinking they could go away at any moment, then how can you invest easily without worries? You will keep on worrying and the result will not be good at all.

We need to consider that this one is a good result and this means that it is going to get a good result with time. Hopefully, crypto will never disappear, but if that ever happens, it will take years for it to happen.

They will be alot of problems to people mostly people that has already stored different cryptocurrency, and some persons will develop trauma in their life because they invested in cryptocurrency with their hard earn money, Theirs something I notice in people, if p2p sto existing everywhere I know very well that many people will be discounted for accept cryptocurrency investment, and many more may die on the process because their hope and faith has being with cryptocurrency, but let me use myself as part of the illustration, I will not get depressed that much because I have not much in cryptocurrency my business will continue to sustain me.

That's a bad imagination to have because without Bitcoin this forum will lose interest as there's nothing to discuss about again and slowly we'll stop logging in if the forum still exists after Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency seize to exist. I'll lose everything I have because I still have all my money in cryptocurrency and have no investments outside of cryptocurrency. Reading this thread has made me to think about my life choice again as I wanted to have all my money in cryptocurrency but certainly I have to start investing in other things just incase something like this happened in the future. I don't believe it can happen but the future is unpredictable and we can't just hope Bitcoin will last forever. I have always wanted to start up a business outside of cryptocurrency but wanted to make more profits from hodling before I start selling my cryptocurrency for money for other investments.
