pretty much this would be the same thing I would do. Invest it in an altcoin and do day trade. Lots of altcoin today is not for a long term investment they are just here for some pump and dump. So as early as you get in the better to have a chance for profit.

These is better and I agree that you should avoid gambling a much as possible. It will not only make you addicted but would have a chane that your bitcoin will be gone in a mattter of minute.

I would have done the same, because i know trading altcoin can generate even more than 10btc for me if i start doing it with a capital of 5 btc, and the remaining coins i will sell when i get a reasonable price like above 800 or 900USD.

Its better to invest in real life business in compare to online casinos or gambling as it involves high risks and there is no guarantee that you will make profits out of it.

But now we can see most of the other ways are here where we invest Bitcoin like Alt coin trading and also safe it now to wait for price increasing. Real life business also have a high risks, i think other business have risky than bitcoin's investment.

The cooling of bitcoin equipment is costly, either you go to a DC or got your own cooling, and both way it will be very expensive.
The way to get more bitcoin, would be investing, which can be risky too.
