Unless they actually get rid of the mines and other related infrastructures, they'll find it hard to eliminate. Even in countries where mining is prohibited, like Venezuela, people are still able to use their bitcoins. It being decentralized is one of its biggest strength. A single government (well, maybe except China) will find it hard to shut off bitcoin on its own.

Well I will wish them Goodluck with that, since Bitcoin is the not their normal currency which they can just ban or say not valid anymore. It's a technology, and it belongs to no one. They can't do anything to Bitcoin accept declare it use invalid but then again who really will care. Bitcoin transactions are anomouos and they will give you in the end trying to figure it out, as to how to make sure people stay away and if they were to do so it will create more awareness for Bitcoin so either way it's good for Bitcoin but trust me they got bigger problems in trump and Bitcoin is not a issue for them now.

Simply outlaw Bitcoin and declare anyone who is still using it an enemy of the state and threaten them with a lifelong stay in a cozy prison cell? I think this will be quite the persuasive argument  Grin People would stop running nodes, the exchanges will cease to exist, peer-to-peer sites would be either monitored or shut down as well etc.

The easiest way to kill anything is to kill the infrastructure and everyone will stop using it sooner or later when it's no longer convenient.

You are the bitcoin.
If they can't stop you running bitcoin node at home, they can't stop the bitcoin.

destroying mining big farm will effectively put a serious dent on bitcoin,  and since you can not build a peta farm in few days, the network would be at 51% risk from random miners in the world

this is the only real thing that can make bitcoin unsecure for me, it's not that hard for terrorist to attack a farm for example if they want to, they just have no reason to do it currently

i don't know how much they invested in personal security but i doubt it's strong enough

Actually many people are trying to put bitcoin down and make it to get ommitted but until now, no one is successful with it. They will keep on trying to put bitcoin down but I doubt they will become victorious especially now that iys value is constantly increasing! Many business will be created and it will be bitcoin related.

You cannot simply eliminate a technology that are decentralized. If Bitcoin was run on centralized servers, some government could have taken them down, but not Bitcoin. Bitcoin runs on 1000's of computers and cannot be taken down at the same time, these computers are spread globally.

The governments may implement strong laws or regulations, but people will still be able to use it globally. ^smile^

What if anyone wants to eliminate the bitcoin
This question always arises in my mind
as we know that digital currency it could eradicate the economic problems of each person.
But what if no one from the Government or concerned with currency want to eliminate the bitcoin.
I need to friends who are here to give you a bit of advice for me regarding this myself ...
