IMO, the Bitcoin exchange rates may go down if there is a crash in the stock market. People will be left with less money and therefore Bitcoin purchases will go down. The existing users will be forced to sell their coins, in order to cover their expenses. Ordinary people are more likely to shift to less risky assets, such as treasury bonds and gold.

Hard to predict how most people would act under such situations but yes, if the price of bitcoin in comparison to fiat does spike due to the crash, then they might take out their money and use that to take advantage of the situation, like use it to buy cheaper real estate.

Nothing too scary IMHO. If BTC price goes down due to all the money flowing out then that's just opportunity for more people to buy. Remember if it rallied during the crash more people are more likely to trust it.

The question is also full of uncertainty. It should not just be a matter of what we can do, but rather what we can do to avoid an economic crisis?
The 2008 economic crisis began in the United States and was exported throughout the world. why did this happen?

Global financial system which pivots to the US. Derivative products produced by the US are sold to various countries in various forms. Began to be sold on the capital market with its free-market principle to become an instrument of development, such as foreign debt-laden with political content. There is almost no country that does not have financial relations with the US.

Second, the economic system and global trade. Many countries in the world open their markets to large corporations. Let them develop the economy without giving protection to the people's economy and let the people become workers. Allowing income depends on the results of purchases of goods in foreign countries. This economic structure makes the economic structure vulnerable to crisis. This is what caused many countries affected by the crisis in the US because many large US corporations went bankrupt due to the crisis that controlled the economies in these countries.

Third, the world political system is dominated by the US. Besides the US being the dominant actor in global financial governance, the US is also dominant in global politics. The US, through its policies, is pushing the world economy open to the US market.

If we predict the price of bitcoin or altcoin will go up or down we don't know when it will happen and what the conditions will be. Now the governments of each country begin to square off issuing their respective stable coins and cryptocurrencies. Of course, it will shift the crypto market map even though it is still dominated by bitcoin.

Bitcoin would increase or decrease vastly.
Well that narrows it down, thanks for clarifying the issue.

Since the rest of the posts in this thread are produced by simpletons in bounties and other signature campaigns, I won't bother quoting and replying to them.  Here's the thing: when the stock market crashes investors want a *safe* place to put their money as they take it out of stocks.  Bitcoin does not provide any such thing, and I really doubt there's going to be lot of money being pumped into bitcoin.

On the other hand I have never seen any data that correlates stock prices to bitcoin's performance, so I don't think it can be conclusively stated that anything dramatic would happen to bitcoin if there was a crash.  I tend to think bitcoin would drop, because investors would generally be scared of risky assets, but we'll have to see.  There hasn't been a big stock market crash in quite some time, and I'd say we're about due for one.

We can't prediction with bitcoin crash again or not the same with 2017, many investor miss with bitcoin price above $15k on 2017 and altcoin have higher price too. Waiting for bitcoin halving season where bitcoin and altcoin price have higher price. Maybe hard to know correct time when bitcoin and altcoin up because this situation not possible with bitcoin up.

There is a high chance that investors will split their portfolios between precious gems, precious metals and BTC.

Or they are going to try to liquidate a lot of positions and Bitcoin and cryptocurrency assets might be one as well
in order to acquire more physical gold. Gold is always the way for the rich to protect the value of their money. I cannot find another reason why they won't do that in a next recession.
In any case, every person who worked in the stock market, in the event of a certain situation, in any case, will distribute all their assets in the most reliable areas, as a rule, it is gold and precious metals.  But if you take into account investments in the cryptocurrency market, then investors in the cryptocurrency are a certain caste of people who take greater risks than players in the stock market.  Of course, I am sure that in the event of a crisis in the stock market, the cryptocurrency market will look very attractive to many investors, but it will not be widespread.

Bitcoin is the way out as from market crash devastation. I say if you are going to be ripped by the government by declaring no value to your fiat then BTC is always going to be the solution before that even happen. We have seen this happened in Zimbabwe, you don't wanna be holding a lot of cash insides your sack of rice that has no value. You'd rather be buying BTC and other cryptocurrencies to be ready else, its a nightmare you are going to face.

The ones with panic sell could switch to BTC and gold for sure. Those with a lot of $$ to invest will diversify their portfolios.

If stock market crashing again , i am just hoping there will extreme rush from stock market.money will move to other financial market such as forex ,commodity , bond or even to cryptocurrency market.if this fund move to this market only 10% i am sure it will give significant affect fo bitcoin and altcoin price immediatly.
First and foremost you have to understand why the market crash happened in 2008, the global financial crisis was in full swing and all the financial sectors were affected by it and people will not run to other markets to invest during a crisis, i am not expecting much of a difference in the bitcoin market too in case of a financial crisis.

That is what probably gonna happen in the future, the investors of the stock market will give up their stocks and transfer it to cryptocurrencies and other assets that are not affected by the stock market crash so they can have a chance to regain their money. Gold and cryptocurrencies are the best economic crisis proof asset because they can stand by their own and they are not controlled by the government.

Yes, actually, when stock market will crash, I don't think that people will grab this chance to buy stock market, but instead, they will do panic selling. But, that doesn't mean that people will prefer buying Bitcoin or altcoins, maybe, those experts will give a shot to this chance to buy Bitcoin or any altcoins. Some people will also buy gold.

But, nobody knows, as it is not happening yet, so let's see how market goes with Bitcoin, altcoins, gold and stock markets. Hope people will be smart enough these days.

grabing the chance to buy is the best idea and smart investors will going to do that but those who dont have a faith on the stock market , they are the ones that will panic but what if they are selling at loss on stock and then they will transfer their funds on bitcoin  ? that not a bad idea after all but i think majority will go on stable assets like gold , real estates , etc ..  but ill expect that btc will grow a little more if the crash on stocks repeat itself

Bitcoin would increase or decrease vastly. And I bet the high odds on bitcoin to increase in anticipation of a stock market crumble, 20k, 100k May sound probable outcome. Don’t take my words for that, it all is a gambling guess as the expert love to quote you should do your due diligence.
many predictions and speculations still no one can know the future development with crypto or altcoin still investor confidence and patience needed to invest until now because we also know the nature and risks of investing in crypto currencies and all the possibilities can happen without anyone being able to find out

I still think there won't be a crash like 2008, that was a one time deal that hurt the economy in a global scale, people learnt from that and now not really depending on american money as much as they used to

No we will repeat and lessons were not learned or corrected from previous troubles.   Of course it wont be an exact duplicate of previous circumstances but without going into too much detail on each point, for example the housing debt of 2008 which failed is not corrected properly.    The majority of housing debt in USA is backed by the government, underwritten the asset value that backs the debt must keep rising or the government will left with worthless debt.    The solution employed to make sure the price of houses and everything keeps rising continually is by inflation, QE programs which have no end, reversal or neutralization.
None of the measures taken were a solution to the problems of 2008 hence why I say we will once again see a occurrence of this phenomena.   Nobody would wish it were so but the point is economies are not false, perfectly arranged, politically compliant but the consequence of human life, society and are a naturally occurring market phenomena we do not have puppet strings big enough to turn the tides that surround us all.  Economics is not politics but a separate study of markets, eventually we will have to represent fundamentals not because of anything I think or others think but for reasons true for centuries or thousands of years even.   A harsh environment or crash if you like is likely in my lifetime I'm sure, worse then ten years ago.   I imagine its in the next ten years but it depends on much we are willing to pay for it first before giving up.

prices of bitcoin should rise such this time because 7 month or less only left for halving , and that is a big event ,in order to cover any crash prices in the future , for example if price rise to 50000 per btc , and there will be a crisis like 2008 for sure it will not affect the price much

Initially, I wanted to disagree with you, but I realized that if the stock market crashes, people will want to go into the next alternative investment, in which the reigning one right now is still bitcoin, so it will surely make the value of bitcoin to pump because there will be more money dropped into the market of bitcoin for the period that people lose interest in investing in stock market because of its crashed back.

The reason why I would want to agree with you that it will rise and dump is that there are so many already existing investors right now that are just waiting for the slightest opportunity for bitcoin to grow so that they can withdraw their investment from bitcoin, so once the rice pumps now, they will surely want to remove their profit.

Nobody wants to see again that type of economic disaster, don't think that any financial crisis could bring a positive change within this cryptocurrency platform, I believe all these things are related to the economy, so if the stock market will face again like 2008 then Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will also face as like it, But  things could be opposite, Suppose a major portion of investors of conventional stock market will come to the cryptocurrency platform then it will be a different case, but still people have a negative feedback regarding cryptocurrency because of the price volatility, that's why proper regulation would bring a positive scenario of this platform and the price will also get a good length.
Considering the fact that crypto currencies are volatile, it is indeed little bit difficult for investors to choose them. However, this should not be the case with bitcoin as it has been around for a long period now. And I think if the market will face any crisis this time, investors will put their belief in bitcoin. Moreover, bitcoin is far stronger than it used to be a decade ago so no crisis can cause significant harm to it.
