Somewhere non-English speaking. I want the challenge of being an immigrant again. I love having to learn a new language, a new culture, new traffic flow, new bureaucracy even.  I've been far too stagnant living in the states for so long now. I must move on...

That said, I'm going to scout Spain and the Netherlands again this winter (only been in the tourist-packed summers) and then figure out how the hell I'm going to market myself to places that do NOT give out work visas to Americans without serious coercion.

I would live in Rome - love the architecture, love the shoes, love the gelato, and ofcourse the men!  Second would be London - really like the gray weather and bustle of the city.

So many amazing places in the world! So much to do and so much to see.

I wish life let us move to a new city every 5 years or so. That would be incredible!

i agree, just cause a country is on the list does not mean it's right for you. the US is on the list and that's exactly where i don't want to be. no one source should determine where you go. these lists just provide bits and pieces of information. but if you look at them for the last 5 years you will see certain countries in the top 10 over and over.

https://lifestyle9.org/worlds-best-country-to-live-in-2013/

something to read for those of you that wish to relocate. out of all of that data collected the one that stuck with me the most was new zealands population is 5% human and 95% animal. when i hear this combined with their pristine environment the first think that comes to mind is getting back in touch with nature. which is what i need. it's so close to australia too.

new zealand

I'm sold for NZ.

Great list Cry. I just took a glapse of some of the top countries therein.
I must say the list are good but, not perfect so, you need to do your own research. It's not wise to reloate to another country base on a single list or research.

The research on the list are based on generic perspective not personal perspective.
Infact, if, i should rate lifestyle9 based on the list in regard's to their report about italy they'll be rated 3.5 of 10. So, you see why we should not relocate to another country based on a single research from one source

The list are useful as starting point for us to can expand research, majority of us have friend's and relatives from all around the world. Facebook/twitter  are good social site to connect.

Thanks

@WEB slicer, i'm asking this out of curiosity.

Why do you want to live United states to another country?
i'm not happy in the US. our values are misplaced. we care more about bling than each other. too many are hateful and destructive. the police and politicians are out of control. our rights are being violated and taken away at an alarming rate. too many things are wrong. we are on a downward spiral and i don't believe we can recover. it's only gonna get worse.

Ok,i will not suggest you coming to italy because immigrant are going out from the country. Rome & Milan are 2 beautiful places for those who intend to visit not those who want to LIVE.

I'll suggest you do more research on these countries:
sweden
Australia as mentioned earlier by some other member.

Swiss will also be a cool place to [ready/b] but, be prepare to abide by their rules

ya, i'm keeping an open mind but i think NZ is my pick too. another thing that caught my attention was they recently passed laws that recognize animals as sentient beings. when you compare this to countries that abuse live stock destroy forests and kill animals for skins or sport it's clear to me that the people in NZ have much more respect for life than most countries.

I prefer to remain in my country indonesia. because of the many beautiful places to visit.
i like indonesia

Your kidding me right? Indonesia is so fucking backwards they may as well be muslim extremists. They execute you for getting high. WTF!? Fucking crazies running the show there.

Since when is it wrong to put something into your own body? So wrong that you face the death penalty. Talk about completely whacked.. all while the ruling party are pedos.

I would love to live somewhere in Asia. Simply love tropic, sea, warmness and all that. I would spend my days in the beach with turtles.

I also live in the USA and I have to say that there is nowhere else I would like to live.  Some people say we are not really free, but there is just to much good here to leave.  What other country can you go to that has a great election system which allows a candidate to collect millions of dollars for the purpose of funding dinners and fun times while turning the whole system into a big joke!!!  I protest it all!!

"....I have to say that there is nowhere else I would like to live...."

@shanerc563, no where else you'll like to stay as longer as you keep live under the illusion that all is well with you in your country. Wink Wink Wink
