any coin that dumped but backed up with big exchanges.
That cannot be the right scenario for all the coins; for example I was running masternode for BSD coins which was doing weekly airdrop for high rank people of this forum and it was listed on one of the biggest crypto exchange bittrex at the time of when I was setting up masternode. I have spent more than 1 BTC when bitcoin was trading around $10k levels, but suddenly BSD got dumped and got delisted from bittrex.

Like any other one here on this forum, if you're holding some big money then it would be always better to go for investing bitcoins and staying calm for years. Please avoid looking into different altcoins by having non-constructive criteria.

If you had 4,000.00 USD to use to invest in cryptocurrency, and that was all the money you can afford to use for crypto investments for the year of 2021, where would you put it?

I'm just curious to see what kind of opinions I would get in a forum like this. I'm hoping that I might learn something as a beginner in the crypto world as a result of putting this question out there. Smiley

Keep in mind thought that I already understand 3 things:

1. Never invest any amount of money that you can't afford to lose, because crypto markets are so volatile that it's a risk no matter what you do, and I get that.

2. I'm not asking you to tell me which crypto to invest in, just curious what your opinion is.

3. I understand that what I do with my money is my responsibility, and nobody else's, and the results of my investment(s) whether good or bad, is on me. Smiley
In the current phase of the market, I would not invest money anywhere other than risk-free options such as the MINA protocol. I would wait for a big drop (correction, which is inevitable), when all alcoins fall by 70-80% and would buy them in the long term.

$4000 when i posted this maybe i buy bitcoin, and BNB, or maybe TKO, any coin that dumped but backed up with big exchanges. Maybe about the exchanges closed it can possibly happen but maybe not for now. That is why if the coin still used, needed, people will still buy it.

If I have more than 4000 dollars then I will divide into four categories. First 1000 dollars I will invest in Bitcoin, second part I invest in Binance coin , third part on Ethereum and last part on dogecoin.
At least you are picking decent coins but I do not know if it is such a good idea to put your money in equal parts in those coins, especially dogecoin, we know that it is a good coin in order to make fast and cheap transactions but even if it has given good profits lately we know this does not have the tendency to last and most likely it will go down strongly during the next weeks so it does not seem as if it is the best coin where you could possibly invest.

I have reason to suggest he/ she invest just 50% in Cryptocurrency anything can happen cryptocurrency is very volatile and anything can happen at anything in Cryptocurrency there is nothing like sure coin anything can happen to any coin at anytime so you don't have to invest all your funds there.
I do not think that $4k capital of OP is 100% of all their money. I understand that they plan to invest some $4k to cryptocurrencies but that is not all their 100% of networth; anyway you got a good suggestion, I must appreciate you for caring another fellow bitcoiner even you are also relatively new to this crypto space. Even cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, I will encourage anyone if they want to invest their all 100% capital in bitcoins only. Yes, I believe into bitcoins and investing with it will not disappoint if plans are dealing in long term.

From the little experience have hard from cryptocurrency I won't really advise you to invest all the money in Cryptocurrency I believe from the money you can just invest like 50% of your total fund incase if anything goes wrong. I have reason to suggest he/ she invest just 50% in Cryptocurrency anything can happen cryptocurrency is very volatile and anything can happen at anything in Cryptocurrency there is nothing like sure coin anything can happen to any coin at anytime so you don't have to invest all your funds there.

2. I'm not asking you to tell me which crypto to invest in, just curious what your opinion is.
So what answers do you really expect? We cannot offer what choice of crypto we can suggest but we should tell where we should put it?  Roll Eyes
If I have that amount I would put it with ____ and wait until it pumps. See, that's difficult to answer.

Anyway, I'll look into altcoins (NFT, DeFi) that are cheap if I have the amount since Bitcoin had been expensive and it may take long before it will be dumped again, or not.
I think you could try something like "If I had something like that I would diversify it and put it on many things in crypto and many things outside of crypto" and that would make sense, you are not giving any names, like saying "I will buy a house" and that doesn't say which house. I personally would be super rich if I had 4 million dollars, in my nation that's so much that I could live a very luxury life and still would not have to make more profit, like 4 millions do not need to be invested and go bigger if I want to live with that forever, I could just live with it without earning 1 more profit.

However just to make sure I will probably buy a business building, those do worth a lot here, usually they are like 4 stories tall or maybe 3 to 5 in some places but 3 story is too small and 5 is usually too expensive. I will get a 4 story tall one and probably a very modern looking one, get the inside done very professionally (not the items but the buildings inside) and just rent that out to companies, that would yield at least 20k per month easily, and I can live with that without spending any other dime, I could get like maybe 2 of these, that means I could actually get super rich.

I know it is not crypto related but why must it be crypto related, then I could use the income to buy more crypto anyway because I will make more than I could spend, I am not making 20k in a year now so making that in a month will allow me to go back into crypto.

I was lucky as I once tried out the capabilities of the Bitshares platform.  Before that, Ethereum was my best investment choice.  In order to make the right choice, I think you need to try blockchains at work.  Look at the speed of transactions, fees, blockchain loading time and wallet installation time, as well as compare the technological capabilities and usability of different wallets.  Few people know about Bitshares and this is not a pump coin, like Dogecoin is now, but the technological capabilities are not even correct to compare.  This is the most reliable and promising investment for me.  And at the end of April 2021, Bitshares NFT will also be launched.  There is a small but very strong community in the Telegram channel.

This is not an investment suggestion but I would buy eth of that money, convert them to Beth and hold on binance. Right now this is the safest and might be the best investment anyone could do because eth is on the verge of explosion.

Investing in crypto must be prepared for all the consequences and risks of losing. There are many options here, all of you who decide whether to invest in bitcoin, maybe this is safe because in case of correction it will quickly recover. Or invest in old altcoins and on new projects. But you have to have knowledge of this. Try reading a lot about what coins are worth investing in and make observations on new projects if you want to take part as an investor in a new project.

That's right, we must be prepared to accept the consequences of the risk of loss. If you decide to invest in Bitcoin, it is true that this will be safe for you, because Bitcoin is the top crypto exchange. Due to its very fast recovery, and its increasing price. However, if you choose to invest or trade new coins, you should be careful with that. Due to a new coin that has just been listed on an exchange, or there is a new project for its opening, it is usually not clear that it will be distributed or listed on the exchange. Buy coins that are listed on the exchange, and make sure the project of the coin is running properly and has a good reputation.

Because, there are coins that usually will not be listed on any exchange after distribution, this will actually be detrimental to you. So, make sure the project you are following is convincing. Don't believe it first, before you see it yourself the coin is already listed on one of the original exchanges. When it is registered, then you will be able to buy it. Don't buy it in large quantities right away, it's not necessarily a new coin whose price will increase, it might decrease from its initial price. Buy it with a small fund to make sure the project can run well, so that if it doesn't go well, we won't lose much of the funds we have

Always have different opinions and it will depend from OP if how will he take his call.

He's the only one who can decide whether to accumulate more assets or entrust his money to few solid projects, both for long
and short term goals,

The opportunities is always open, either you choose new or old coins the fact that you did your research will lessen the risk.
Yes, that's why having a good amount of capital is an advantage. You're free to choose with all of those coins that you want. Either old or new, you have the freedom to choose any of them.
But as usual, it's better to choose the old coins because they're very reputable and have been built and trusted for a long time.

I invest in min 10 altcoins. obviously I pick top cmc listed coin for invest.
My 10 altcoins are- ETH, LTC, BNB, ADA, SOL, NANO, EOS, ETC, XRP, NEO

OP have only 4000$ and it is not advisable to invest in too many coins with this little amount. I would suggest OP to invest in 4 coins of his choice with 500$ each and keep 2000$ in fiat (USDT) , so in case the market dumps further he have money for dollar cost average.
I think for me that $4,000 is already a lot and he can diversify with as much as he can but I would agree with you that it doesn't mean that he should diversify too much. I've crossed out the other 6 cryptos that I would remove from that choice.
And the other four that are good enough for me and would probably put $1,000 per each of them as this time based from what I see on the market.

I'd start investing with only 25% of that $4K first, so that I have some capital left to ladder buys with if the coins and tokens that I bough went down to get a better average entry price.

And it's better to divide that $1,000 into 2-3 parts at least and invest every part of your capital into one different thing, like with one part of it you could invest in one of the DeFi projects, with the other invest in one of the oracles and invest the rest in one of the privacy coins that have a bright future in your opinion, that way you will be diversified enough and you also will have enough capital left to be able to dollar cost average your coins/tokens which will ultimately removes unnecessary risk even if crypto happens to enter another bear market while you're invested in it.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man
Investing $ 4,000 in something depends a lot on your purpose in the crypto market and what risk you can take.
If you want to make money quickly, you should invest in new projects, if you want a low-risk investment, you should invest in large projects in the market.
It is better to avoid new projects, there is simply too much variation in the performance of those coins and many of those differences cannot be attributed to any one factor in particular as there are good coins out there that have been in the market for some time that do not move at all despite having some decent developers and yet a coin that is an obvious scam gets a lot of attention and people make a lot of money with it and this does not makes a lot of sense at all.

Those whales managed to compensate even the project is really don't have the usages, pump and dump types of projects which will only risk your investment, better to avoid those kind of project.

There are many options, always depends from how you focus your attention to those solid projects that really have good contributions to this industry,

Make sure to have it sorted before pacing your money to any kind of coins.

It is best to invest $ 4,000 in the purchase of proven cryptocurrencies - bitcoin or eth, Bitcoin has become a real protective asset, which is invested not only by private investors, but also large companies and funds (Tesla, Microsoft). But that's only if you're willing to invest in the long run ... Or you can invest in the top 10 tokens.
