Of course, it’s good if a person has $ 2,000 for investments in cryptocurrency, but the most important thing is that these funds are not the last in his home budget.  But if we talk about profitable investments, who do not have a certain experience, it is better not to invest in new projects, and for a greater guarantee, pay attention to the most rated cryptocurrencies, which many forum users have already fired about.  As always, for me the leader is ethereum, as well as Tron, and ripple.  It would be possible to invest a certain amount in bitcoin, but I believe that for such investments you need to have a slightly larger starting capital.

Definitely I willuse all that money to invest in bitcoin and wait for halving. We are heading to the 4-year event each time and 2 times before that bitcoin has risen more than 100%. and I hope that this year everything will be the same. The current bitcoin price is $ 8100 and if everything goes as I expected then the price will definitely increase to at least $ 10000-12000 when the halving begins.
I will definitely choose bitcoin too as it is a top coins in the market cap. But of course, we should not put everything our money on a single investment that's why choosing the best altcoins is also important to diversify our investment. Just make sure to choose the altcoins that's going to give a boost during bull market.

Invest 80%-90% of your money into Bitcoin, the only and original real decentralized and popular crypto. Don't mess with altcoins, not worth it, and make sure you don't fall for the fake bitcoin scam called Bitcoin-Cash and it's fork Bitcoin SV, it is a centralized scam-coin that pretends to be the real bitcoin, it's leader is Roger Ver that was Bitcoin early adopter, but then created it's own coin, he owns many sites, brands that scam people by presenting Bitcoin cash as the real Bitcoin. Hence All you need to know is that there is Bitcoin, and there are shitcoins, except Eth, Verge, Nano, Vechain and monero, so it's best to do your own research.
My take on the situation is that, if you are an early investor then you naturally have these fork coins and i trust bitcoin fork than the rest of the shit coins in the market and that is my take on things, i am not willing to invest in anything but since i am holding bitcoin for a long time i am having these forks and i am glad to hold and if they are able to give me the profit, it is fine and i will happily collect it.

I might if I have $ 2000 again, I will buy TOMOchain. I think it is interesting. I think investing in altcoin is because of the interesting concepts and systems in this altcoin, I don't really like XRP. Of course I don't invest there, maybe you should look at TOMOchain if you want be greedy, at your own risk

Capital of $ 2000 is quite large in my opinion, we can buy a few coins. I will invest 50% in bitcoin, because as we know bitcoin
is the most powerful and dominant coins. Then 20% I invest in ethereum which this year there will be a big event namely
ethereum 2.0. Next 20% I will invest in a Binance coin created by the owner of binance exchanges who have a very strong team of
developers. And I will invest the remaining 10% in ripple where the advantages have been explained as in the opening post.

if I have $2000 and will pour it in the form of altcoin ,I will not immediately buy a ripple because its very risky for me personally so I will think of another in the old altcoin that still has the potential and is trusted by the public to a higher price maybe ethereum ,somehow IMO this is still main character in altcoin context of a lot interest
Investing entire $2000 in a single coin can give you profits but you have to earn a lot of patience in order to gain some profits from this coin. Also considering XRP, XRP has dropped a lot from the price of $0.3 to $0.21 which has left a number of investors with loss. Also in order to cover this loss the investors need to wait for a long time which will indeed stop their profits from their market and even after investing $2000 if your investment source stops than you need to find any other source to gain some investments. So in this situation you should always try to invest atleast 40% in bitcoins and remaining amount in other altcoins which might be good for the future. Try not to invest in single coin.

Yes, ripple boosted their sales by launching Xrapid and Xcurrent which were actually centralized but backed with the decentralized coin XRP. XRP would surely have higher profits given to their hodlers but at the current market situation, XRP is on the down surge which does not keep the investors profitable. Investors need to invest in coins which could give them stable profits and hence majority of the investors choose to divide their capital in few coins rather than investing in a single coin.

Profits from investing in many coins will give stable profits as the profits from these coins would come one after the other where in case if you only invest in XRP than the if the price for XRP declines, you have to wait for the price to pump back again to land up in profits.

I would invest in Bitcoin. Why? Because i see it as the least risky coin to invest in.

Bitcoin is still the biggest cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin should be the main choice but remember that is not so volatile as another coin and that's why people must try to divide their money and they must also invest to the altcoin. At least promising altcoin will give same guarantee with what already given by bitcoin too. It's not a big risk by investing your money in the top altcoins. Everyone understand properly about that how major altcoins are giving guarantee.
Bitcoin may be the biggest one but altcoin may give you more profit than bitcoin. Look at some coins like DASH, BCH and many more. they are getting very huge increase at this moment.

Can't blame the investors if that's how they react with XRP. Btw, you have an interesting thought about this coin but if I have a spare of $2,000 I'll spend it more with bitcoin.

Maybe around $1500 for bitcoin and the next would be with different altcoins. I can't decide for now what alts that would be since I'm also starting to get weak with Ethereum but it's not yet removed from my choice.

If I had $2,000, I would invest $1,000 in Bitcoin, and distribute the rest in equal installments to promising alts.

If I would be having a chance to have $2,000 and go invest it into cryptocurrency, I would surely go and invest most of it into Bitcoin of course because as we all see at this very moment of time of the year, Bitcoin is showing a positive movement of rising up its price which is going green this recent days which is a good indication of a good start of the year 2020 for Bitcoin. Aside from Bitcoin, I will go and invest the remaining part into the side of Altcoins which I prefer to part it into Ethereum (ETH) of course, Litecoin (LTC) as well as with the Ripple (XRP) in which those coins are also showing a positive movement for the early stage of this year. Surely, those Altcoins will go further and I do hope that the positivity will continue all throughout this year making it beneficial for the all of us. We just need to stay calm and hope for the best things to happen within the whole crypto community for the year 2020 that all of our holdings and patience from the recent years will be paid off and be worthy.

For me i would rather buy more Ripple (XRP) Why? There’s a lot of confusion about this company but if you can separate the fact from fiction, the opportunity becomes clear.

2018 is the year where you’ll see an increasing emphasis on real-world use cases delivering value. In this regard, Ripple is light years ahead of competition.

Products

Let’s start with their products; xCurrent and xRapid (XRP). xCurrent is a banking software which allows banks to transfer value across borders (they may or may not use XRP) via the Ripple network. XRP is the native currency to the network.

Partnerships

Currently, Ripple has partnered with hundreds of banks with its xCurrent product. This doesn’t affect the price because these partners aren’t necessarily using XRP as well. But given XRP is native to xCurrent, it stands to reason that many of these banks will eventually adopt XRP as well.

Unfortunately, many people get stuck on Ripple’s massive success with xCurrent since it doesn’t directly drive up XRP’s price. If you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that Ripple’s success with partnerships isn’t limited to xCurrent.

Opportunity

Ripple is also targeting the global remittance market with xRapid (XRP) and has secured trials with Western Union[1] and Moneygram. Western Union alone moves $80B year [2]and Ripple’s entire market cap is $19B.

Think about that.

Unfortunately, the price is currently dictated by panicky investors who sell any time someone sneezes. XRP is trading around $0.2 and it may move lower in the short term due to the market. It reminds me of the classic Warren Buffet quote, “be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy”.

Institutions are getting into the game and when they do, you’ll see the market change dramatically.

I am a project owner of token called ORB. I am built to promote ORB Smiley ( I promise I am not a bot), but not by belittelling any other.

So why should you buy ORB? Many compelling reasons I can tell, but it would be too lengthy, so I'll try to keep it as short as possible.

It should go without saying that a credible project should have a reliable team behind it.

The people behind the project is critical in ascertaining if the token has any chance of gaining widespread adoption. Check out the owners.
Token allocation post IEO (we are starting IEO on 20.01.2020 with LATOKEN)

-Community...how invested are owners to reach out to their community!

-Real World Utility..
Explore if the project is bringing any real-world value into the market? Is the project’s platform entirely dependant on the token? If yes, then as experts say, it is a project that is worth investing in.

ORB’s utility is fuelling a decentralised app called MONET. MONET will address a huge market gap affecting millions… that wasn’t possible before blockchain technology.
Millions of people die every year due to misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis of medical conditions, globally.
MONET will connect patients seeking 2nd opinion on their original diagnosis with specialist doctors, from the comfort of their smart phones.

It is still confusing why people love XRP so much, I understand that there is a appeal to it with being both a low number in price plus being so high in marketcap etc etc but that doesn't mean it is a good coin like you imagine it is. Just to give an example, Ripple prints out millions of XRP every single year (including 2019) and just sells it on market price which both drops the price of XRP because there is a big dump on the market, also drops the price overall because there is more coins in the circulation out of nowhere.

I would definitely invest into ETH because they are working hard on moving to staking and if they are successful the price will go up, plus I would think about a masternode coin as well, like PIVX or something similar so I can have a steady income too.

If I had 2k, of course without thinking I would definitely buy bitcoin. and the second option is definitely buying xrp because I'm a fan of xrp, I don't care even though many people say that xrp prices tend to be stable only a small profit is obtained. but it also doesn't hurt to choose another altcoin if there which is more potential to get profit.
I also use XRP, been trading m it for quite a long time and also useful as transaction fee using it is lesser than bitcoin. I prefer to buy XRP, eth, BTC and BNB. It's safe to invest in top 10,but a lot few percent for some altcoins for short trading purposes.

2k for bitcoin then you will get a small profit if you only wait in the short term. I suggest you focus more on your XRP. it would be better with the 2k capital you have than to share it with bitcoin.

I will choose bitcoin as well, given the fact that its less risky compared to alts and the coming halving might trigger the price to soar high so its wise to choose btc for now or invest the large portion of $2k in this coin.

For altcoins eth and bnb are my choice, these two coins has potential and well-established.
