Here’s the question: if you had a budget of $1 a day just for gambling, where would you put it? Would you go for a lottery game with a potential $1 million win, or a high-odds sports betting parlay where you could win $100,000? Which one would you pick?

I would most likely put it in some low IQ gambling game, like slots, dice, crash, etc. I hate those games, but would bet 1 USD on them.
I don't think that it's possible to play with 1 USD on a poker table(excluding the freeroll tournaments). Maybe blackjack is another option, where I would bet 1 USD per day. Lottery is a waste of money, but 1 USD is close to nothing. Maybe I could play a lottery game with 1 USD tickets. The national lottery in my country doesn't have 1 dollar tickets. I actually don't know about any lottery, that has one dollar tickets.

I would like to pick a high odds sports betting parlay rather than playing my $1 for the Lottery and why i says that because winning a Lottery with 1 million potential prize is more difficult and i considers the winning chances to win the Lottery with huge price is below to 0.1% even in my opinion it is impossible to win 1 million from 1$ so that's why regarding your question i think putting the money into high odds sport betting parlay is more reasonable and i know this is also not easy because to gets $100.000 probably it took over than @1.00.000 odds but if we compared with 1 million Lottery prize i think the chances to win the parlay is slightly better

Sports betting may be more fun, but the lottery also has a chance of winning big.
With only $1 per day in my opinion, I would try both or increase to $2 per day one for the lottery and one for sports betting, that's pretty good in my opinion.

Losing $2 is not a problem, but the chances of winning can also be greater, depending on luck.

Or if you are quite bored with these two games, then you can choose another game, the main goal for entertainment and both lucky ones that make a profit.

Personally sports betting has less reliant on luck than lottery.
So I might share it as placing bets during the week and going for lottery on weekends or the reverse.

Come to think of it the sport bet is more reliant on luck if you pursuing such a high odd.
I would just stick with lottery
I can't be unlucky for a full year right?

I would probably think about making a bet with a big odds, because $1 is too small a budget to count on any significant results in gambling. Or if I knew that I only had one dollar a day, then I would just save money for one bet for a while, so that I could double it and continue thinking about the next bet, but with a bigger budget. I don’t believe in the lottery or other games where everything is based on luck, that is, I think the chances of winning in such games are very low.

None of these two are easy to win when it comes to Gambling, but depending on the individual's knowledge and skills will determine which will he/she go for, hence when it comes to me, I would have loved to try my luck with both with a $1 daily budget, as you never can tell which may favour you at the time you least expected. But however, if I'm asked to choose just only one, then I will go with gambling on Sport betting parlay games, while targeting just minimum of 50 to 100 odds daily, knowing fully well that the higher the odds the more riskier the bet becomes.

if that's my budget for gambling per day, I wouldn't want to gamble everyday so I would rather accumulate it and gamble maximum of once a week since the budget isn't much, I can just make use of the $7 for a sports betting iether once or maximally do it two times per week using $4 per bet. With that, it's going to help me concentrate on work and not make it a routine to always gamble every day and that way, even if I experience a loss, I wouldn't have to always think that I must recover my loss the next day. The effect of gambling every day puts you in a position where you would want to recover all your losses in the next bet.

Gambling once a week is the best way of ensuring that you're completely disciplined and not over gambling or getting addicted without knowing. Imagine you only gamble on Saturdays, regardless of the outcome, you're sure you won't gamble again till next Saturday. You just make use of the $7 you've budgeted for gambling and if you win, you take the profit home without using it for another bet and if you loose, you just know that that's it for the week.

If I had a dollar left over every day and it continued, I would definitely plan how to spend that $1. First, I will add up all my money for a month, that is, if I make a dollar every day, my dollar amount will be 30 at the end of the month. I will not keep this 30 dollars in my savings account at all but I will continue to think how to convert this 30 dollars into 300 dollars. Although the challenge of converting $30 to $300 is not that easy, I will keep trying.

First of all I will try to bet with this money on some matches that my selected team will have more chances and in this way I will keep moving forward. Then when I have a bit more money, I will again divide this money into two parts and plan something different.

Adding a poll maybe a great idea as it’d help gauge what people really think about this.

If the question is, "Which would you choose: lottery or sports betting?" I’m pretty sure almost everyone would go for sports betting. But when it comes to x100k odds in sports, that’s practically impossible. Maybe x10k odds is more realistic, and I’d definitely pick that over the lottery.

For a 6/42 lottery, your chances are around 1 in 5,245,786- that’s a miracle-level win. On the other hand, a parlay with x10k odds might have slightly better chances, but it’s still considered a very low probability. At least with sports, there’s some level of strategy involved...

Imagine needing almost 100 legs at 1.90 odds to hit x100k, it’s insane! Watching each game one by one would be so stressful, and honestly, I don’t think any sportsbook would even allow x100k odds on their platform, not even for a $1 bet.

So, for the sake of simplicity, I would go for the lottery this time, even though sports betting is always my first choice. Sometimes, taking the easy route just makes more sense.  Cheesy

It's very unlikely that I'll make that figure you've mentioned through both of them. But at least that there's a very tiny chance that someone could grow it but not to that extent or by extreme luck, that gambler will be able to make it.

Well, you've forgot to mention about other means like dice which don't require a lot of money to proceed with.

But with sports betting, I won't parlay that because that's like one in a million chance. So if I choose to sports bet with that amount, I'll choose the best games that I am able to take advantage with and repeat the process, betting on most likely games I think will win.

Well, if I had little money, which is not my case now, I would take the opportunity to build a bankroll with poker until I had a decent one with which I could make a few hundred dollars a month. Once I had that, I would probably use the $1 a day to buy lottery tickets.

I never thought about $1 can make reach hundreds or thousands or even millions of dollars because it is impossible and the chance of success is 1%, I personally would prefer to use it to bet on match that I think are really interesting and can bring satisfaction when watching the match by placing bets on it.
Sports betting will always be my top priority in gambling because with limited capital I can have several betting slips, unlike various casino games that require each gambler to prepare more capital in order to play longer and make us feel satisfied.
But you’ve got to pick one.. you didn’t! Turning $1 into a decent amount isn’t really my go-to, as it often feels like a waste of time. But to answer the question, I’d go with sports betting. I mean, that’s what we’re here for, right? We should back the type of gambling we’re all about.

I will prefer to go on parlay because sportbet is my favorite. However, picking high odds parlay because you want to makw 100000x profit ia like throwing the money away because if you play for straight one month with this kind of bet, you might be on a straight losing through out your bet. So I would prefer not to bet on many games but just few, so that my chance of winning will be high than on a long slip.

I will use that money to playing gambling at weekend so my budget will be $6-$7. That will be enough for me to playing gambling moderately and not losing too much money. I will buy lottery and buy for some ticket or I can use all of the money to buy the lottery. But I can also place a bet in sports betting and split my funds into some parts so I can place for some bets. That will depends on how my mood at the weekend but I can hold myself and will not betting especially if I have a plan to use my free time for the other things with my family.

It’s very rare to win at any of the one events listed in the OP. I won’t spend the $1  in any of those events. I would rather use the method of compounding to slowly grow the money. I will directly jump to dice or high-low games to test my luck and make the 1$ into 5$ at least. As 1$ is not a big amount, hence I won’t have the big fear to lose a big amount. This is the only feasible strategy that I can think of with $1. Lottery and high-return sports bets’ winning probability comes once in a million.

Nah, not the lottery, I know how low the odds of getting that jackpot are, and even when I reached the legal age to bet on the lottery, I did not feel any urge to use my money and try my luck there.
I'd rather take the other option which is making a parlay, but I won't go as far as x100,000 odds because that's probably a sure loss. If the money is free every day then I will try some x20 - x50 multipliers, accumulate it slowly, and maybe have a decent amount for withdrawal.
My other option is to save the $1 every day until it reaches maybe $50 and I will play slots instead at minimum bet each roll. $0.1 or $0.2. I enjoy those games more than the lottery.

I’m not a fan of the lottery , and I’ve been into sports betting for a while now. I don’t really focus on parlays since they feel like a money sink, but if I had to choose, I’d go with what I know, and for me, that’s definitely the more exciting option. So, a high-odds parlay would be my pick.

With $1 to win $100k, you’re looking at x100,000 odds, which means stacking a ton of games together. That would take a serious number of legs to hit that kind of payout. It’d be a challenge, but it's not impossible to hit a big parlay just like a lottery.

This one is probably the biggest hit, but it was a $50 bet.

Bettor turns $50 wager into $1.1M by hitting ridiculous 15-leg parlay

With Thanksgiving upon us, one bettor is going to having a lot to be thankful for. A BetMGM bettor ended up winning $1.1 million on a ridiculous 15-leg $50 parlay that carried +22670 odds on Sunday night.
