I would just put it all on BTC. There are other coins, like ether, that really seem to have some value, and will probably keep rising, but I would just stick to BTC. I do try to see when some whales are pumping alts and invest on them but it's risky.

Even this amount is too short to be invested in the Etherium as well. You can buy only two etherium coins from it or may be less than that. Ethereum may lose its attractions in coming days when bitcoin blockchain related similar app supporting project hit live deployments. I already started staying precautious with my ethereum investments. Right now I am just holding for one or two days, definitely not for more than a week to ensure there will not be any big volatility.

For long term holding, I believe only bitcoin remains as a safe heaven like how it was years back. Over all, depending on any altcoin for investment might disappoint us at anytime. Altcoins are always good only for day trading imho.

I will invest in waves. The project looks promosing, the dev is active, the community support them and they are starting to advertise their project. It's not like i don't want to invest in bitcoin, but i think the return is higher if i invest in waves.

yeah investment in bitcoin is much more better currently because bitcoin price going to higher value too much faster everyday and if they invest their $500 in bitcoin then i hope its amount balance will become in double value in the future so invest in bitcoin is much more profitable.

I will invest on bitcoin of course, it is the best option for long term, but not all of it due to ltc and lisk on its way to increase.
If you want to get more profits from $500, than invest on cheaper coins, wait for some time than sell it at higher peak.
So, divide your investment into several coins to get more return than convert it into bitcoin.

It is good to hold but that's one of the thing that you need to understand. $500 may not be big or good amount to some people but for those people that are in third world countries this is already a big amount. And its hard for them to decide whethet they will invest or not. So if you are in that state of thinking much better to hold.

You can try to go with trading, if you will hold it you can get some basic return but when it comes to increasing the quantity of bitcoin you are holding there's a lot of ways. But yes, this is the safest way.

if you are willing to take some risk alts trading might be the best aside from bitcoin investment if you can buy eth with the half of your money then let the other half being invested to your bitcoin wallet there's a lots of opportunity so better to keep watching out as we will seen more rise up until we got satisfied with our earnings.

May be investing into bitcoin and etc would be good for now. LISK is having great potential and it is growing with time also. But if you would ask me then my first preference is of course bitcoin. We can not rely on ETH and imagine that the price would pump like that of bitcoin to 2000 dollars as it is still in developing stage and people often are investing money into bitcoin only. Due to this fact bitcoin gains value day by day and it start pumping into price evaluation. LISK and LTC are still away from such pumps they are still growing but it doesn't assures me for investing. What if they crash in the coming time due to bitcoin and ETH being on the top. So it would be bitcoin and ETH.

I would prefer to put that all first in bitcoin and will wate for the volutality in altcoins then that's the time that I would buy altcoins then sell it immediately as it pumps to eliminate the risk.

exactly. $500 is just too small to keep holding on btc, if you have bought $500 worth of ICN during the time when this thread started, it could have almost doubled by now. Investing to tokens with higher potential like stratis or waves, you must have multiply it more than 3x.
