I'm a lazy investor and in that case I will probably let that amount invest to bitcoin and will just hold it until the price gets higher. By that way, I will be no longer going to think on how I will grow it in the future.
holding bitcoin in present time is a good and wise decision, but I think 500$ is not such a good amount to hold wait for the price to increase. I think even after a long long time you will not get a satisfactory income for which you are waiting, therefore to me I think it will be more profitable to find a cheep but potentially good altcoin and invest your 500$ there. and hope that if the price of such altcoin goes up it will give you a decent income.

Invest in ICO's, look for ones with revolutionary ideas. Things like ETH, bitcoin etc have already pumped so while they may go higher in the next 1-2 years they won't go up 100x or 1000x like some of the promising ICO's will. For me in particular I like Aragon because they will revolutionize how companies operate in this globalized world.
Would you mind telling us some of those promising ICO's other than Aragon. Been having difficult time choosing great ICO these days. One or two would be great

Nowadays bitcoin investment is better than any other crypto currency investment because the price of bitcoin is increasing very faster. In bitcoin if a person do not know that how to trade then even in that situation he can earn only by holding them in the wallet for some time. Bitcoin increasing 50 from 2800 to 2850 means a small profit.
Altcoin increasing 50 from 1 to 51 means a giant profit.

If it was TODAY. i would go 50% BTC, 20% ETH, 10% XMR, 10% TAAS, 10% DGB. 50 % BTC because it is the best store of value available in crypto. 20 eth because there are many tokens servers building on top of it, 10 XMR because i believe it is a privacy coin to real life use potencial, TAAS because i like the idea of a fund backed by a token 10% DGB to go for a cheap coin with growth potencial.
Considering current situation, I would invest in etherium or maybe in light coin. As bit coin price is rising so price of altcoins is rising to. It is risky from my point of view because in some point price will drop for bitcoin and altcoins. I would invest in bitcoin to but 1 btc investment at least. Since 500$ isn`t enough, I would go for alts.
If i have 500$ right now, i would probably invest in altcoins like monero, ethereum, waves and iconomy. These are fast progressing cryptocurrencies and are sure to produce good returns.

It s stull small unit price and it ll have future.
if I have $500 now I want to invest in wings coin, The price is stable at first launch, and the current price is up 200% from the first price of the launch. I think the new pumping is started. That's my reason why I chose wings coin for my investment.

Yes I agree that the bitcoin has a great potential and the acceptance level of the bitcoin is increasing every next day and even the world strong economies are thinking on to recognize and accept it legally. But for the bitcoin investment you are required with a huge capital as compare to the Alts. Obviously, btc will the most logical investment you can have for today. It has proven in the past few weeks or past month that investing and holding on for a while on your btc would be pretty profitable. Though if you want quick earnings with your 500$, trading with altcoins would be a good option. It would take good timing and knowing a lot about alt coins but it going to be well worth your money

BTC is my first choice and Eth is second one!
If i have 500 $ money then i will do altcoin trading. Currently there are some altcoins that have a rapid upward trend and decline, one of which is XRP. The altcoin is very good and brings great advantages when we are right in making decisions in selling and buying. Already many people are taking advantage of this altcoin. I will not waste this precious opportunity.
What is so special about ripple that it went 20x in just 1,5 month? Not just a big pump & dump thing?
I could diversify it and invest into ICO's and the part in altcoins. Importantly in the past few days the recently developed ICO TaaS is rising good, so will invest on it and when it comes to altcoins xrp is quite good to give a good profit margin as the periodic fluctuations were taking place.

I woul invest that amount for ICO and any coin I preferred that has a price less than 10k statoshi each as I can see that those coin has more potential to flactuates as investors are seeking for a coin which volume isn't huge so that they can manage to earn more profit. I will invest in ICO project, many people said ICO is just a shit investment but a couple ICO that I have join give me nice profit, currently i'm wait for MobileGo launch and hope my investment in MobileGo give me nice profit too.
When you will be selective for your ICO investments, I am too sure you could make good profits out of them. But when you are going for hunting with each and every ICO options which are available on daily basis, then probably you might get struck with few of them whereas you will be making profits with other few ICOs.Not just ICOs, trading altcoins also will be profitable but only when we are doing it is very consciously. When we are not in full concentration while choosing the correct pairs, we might be finding difficulties. As long as we are good with our researches and analysis process, we can make good profit there.
