well, 100% of course I would choose bitcoin. I feel that bitcoin is the highest level of crypto assets, and is able to influence other coins. so, I will still choose the highest coin to make an investment if I want to invest.
I will suggest you to use majority of the amount in buying bitcoins and the rest distribute it to buy altcoins. No need to worry about the down market this year, the market will most likely to rise again, if not next year, may be in the few years time.

In the history of the BTC has been living up to more than 400 times. And this time BTC will come back and bring new breath for the crypto market in the future. I still believe in the BTC script that will bring big waves before everything starts to change. Accumulating BTC and waiting for the opportunity to switch to altcoin reasonably will bring the greatest profit!
Of course I will choose Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has been longer than Iota so the development is more mature and good. Bitcoin has experienced various fluctuations and conditions (both in good and bad conditions) so that its development is better. Iota is a coin that just started to still doubt what will happen in the future. So it would be better for me to choose Bitcoin.
For sure, I will use it to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin has been proven for many years, the value is undoubted. Bitcoin also is a coin that has high potential to gain profits. 10.000 USD is a good amount to buy bitcoin.
I will definitely choose IOTA over Bitcoin because most altcoins following the bull run started by Bitcoin in most cases right? If you do the math, IOTA will give you higher return and no one knows what will happen in the future specially if a big partnership to well known company will be made in side of IOTA. Bitcoin on the other hand surely will be the best pick but if you wanted to earn bigger in a short period of time, it is wise to invest to an altcoin with lower price.
Don't put all your monry in one coin so if your preference is thse two coins then split and invest on both but for me bitcoin is more preferrable than any other cryptos so I will pick bitcoin for 70% of my capital and the remaining into other coins.
I am also doing it this way as it will ensure my investment is the best. All altcoins depend on the value of Bitcoin, which makes Bitcoin investment more important for long-term investment. If you want to be safe, it's best to just select good and high potential projects
Of course I would choose bitcoin, because the price of bitcoin is currently in sharp decline so maybe this is a good time to buy. But if only there was the choice of Ethereum then I would prefer ethereum.

I will definitely go for bitcoin over and over again but I dont choose bitcoin because of it popularity or because it the first cryptocurrency. I choose bitcoin because of it potentials and most of the altcoin out there cant stand the powerful people in world which bitcoin have fought and overcome. I so much believe in what I see and past history of something.

If amount is big then never should be invested in a single coin. Always should have diversification so that you are not holding the coin which is dropping but having multiple would give you the best of the profits or results and make your money grow as well. If your investment amount is very less then it can be thought of investing in single coin.
I will invest all of the whole money in Bitcoin. The market is really good for buying to hold and resell when the price becomes good. The bitcoin price has reached its all time low for the year 2017 and 2018. Which means the support level of $3700 was created and the price has reversed to move in the opposite direction which means any investment in bitcoin now will yield profit within the next 30 days.
Still bitcoin is better than the other because you will see bitcoin have proof that they increased the value very high. But if you think the coin that you mentioned if you think is good you can buy also but don't forget to invest also bitcoin to earn more money once market recover.
Who needs an altcoin when there is Bitcoin? Bitcoin has been here for a decade and is continued to develop by several developers around the world. So, my first choice would be Bitcoin if i have to buy for $10k today.
Most altcoins today are not even worth it and they are basically just there for the short term price fluctuations which is why you see them always going back to their historical prices pretty fast than you can imagine as people tend to dump it for bitcoin eventually just to increase their stash. So in a way, for anyone who can basically manage themselves in the trend of the market, there is no harm at all with that, but you still have to realize at the same time that at the end, bitcoin will always have the dominance whether we like it or not. So if I have such money and I am to pick just one coin, it is always going to be bitcoin.

its safe if we diversify our asset into several coins.atleast 5 coins could give us several gains and loss.and bitcoin always get biggest portion in our portofolio.

I don't see the sense of the question even we put the situation into of picking only one between BTC and IOTA.
Obviously we will choose a coin* that is already tested thru ups and downs and "worth to take a risk" even it will take time.
But for a regular crypto trader or should I say, even those who just want to do trades on not on regular basis, they will choose a coin that they can take advantage. Even shitcoins are included to that*. Technology of the coin are disregard here because the goal is to take advantage of the volume.
Anyways, we all ready know the obvious answer here.
And the obvious answer for anyone will always be bitcoin. I cannot remember who said this in one of the financial experts. He said if you are to be holding anything right now, it should be bitcoin and at least, you should make sure you are holding at least 1 bitcoin before you can decide to start getting into any shit coin of your choice. I see most altcoins as just distractions and that is as a result of people thinking there is no more hope for them in bitcoin and they are looking for the best chance of getting rich quick with some altcoins, I basically would love to see how that ends up for them. As far as I am concerned, it is bitcoin all the way!

There is no doubt in that I will bitcoin when comparing any other cryptos just because of the bitcoin is more recognized and it is surviving a decade now but most of the other cryptos not even completing few years so the longitivity is the reason why I picked bitcoin but IOTA is also a good coins which can be bought when you are looking for a coin to make profits in short or long term.
