I agree, if rich, it is better not to play gambling. but I do not agree if only spend for necessities. you better start a business. You can open a trading site, gambling site or casino.

Well if you are rich, it should mean that you have a stead source of income from businesses that are established and "run itself" so to speak, which means you get guaranteed money monthly or even daily, then you are pretty much free to gamble without not stress of becoming bankrupt.

The problem is if you get rich from something lottery, where all off a sudden you get tons of money. Then yes, gambling is stupid and you must put that money into use with a business that is hopefully a success.

if I rich because of gambling or lottery yes it is better to stop, and did not go back into gambling despite already made me rich, because sometimes the opportunity will not come twice. and it's better to open a business.

That's the reason why people gamble - to socialize. Most gamblers have made a social life in a casino. They earned the trust of their new friends, they bond each other by playing in a casino, and they have a lot of fun whenever one of the members of their circle wins a lot of money and they just go out and have some drinks.

Rich people thought they will never gamble again, they thought they will be able to save all their money for their family and never lose any of it in gambling. But once they meet someone who's rich and a gambler, there's a tendency that the peer pressure created between them will lead him to become a gambler once again. I'm not saying that all rich people gamble, some of them are too busy to gamble.

It is not story about gambling, it is story about man will being weak and addiction. Everything that is good for you and make you smile and happy inside can be addictive in the end.
Of course it is easy to target gambling, and claim it is root of all evil - because with excessive gambling you most likely lost all your money.

I absolutely agree with you. That's why I said I would gamble if I were rich, I'm not addicted so I know it's possible. And yes, everything which is good for you can be addictive, even eating. The simple rule here: you should have the strength to stop at any time.
