If you want to get started with Bitcoins, first thing to do is go to http://www.MtGox.com/ and make an account. Then go to http://www.BitInstant.com/ and use it to put money on you MTGox account. Then g to a MoneyGram anywhere in your town and to deposit into your account. It will be in the account by the time you get home.

Then you buy the coins on MTGox and from their you can either buy things by depositing from your MTGox account directly, or you can make a bitwallet at http://www.Blockchain.info/

Does this count as a productive post? If so, excuse me while I write more two word posts.

He could have just said "I'm new" I mean this thread doesn't need much more than 2 words to reply to.

Check the sticky, but you need to spend 4 hours browsing and post a minimum of 5 times to be able to do anything outside of this subforum.

Thanks.

I JUST joined, what is the deal with Newb restrictions? What can and can't I do?

ANSWER
Newbie Restrictions
You can only post in the Newbie and Local sub-forums till you have 5 posts and at least 4 hours on the forum.  The other two restrictions are you need 1 post to be able to send a PM and 10 posts to put a link in your sig.

Just in case there are any generous people wanting to give something, thank you:

(IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE SILK ROAD)
It's hard to find the URL, so here: https://www.google.com/#hl=en&safe=o...cp.r_qf.&cad=b

But you also have to download the tor browser...
https://www.torproject.org/

There are forums (basically hidden from the rest of the internet) ON the silk road, but you make a separate account for the forums so you can't be traced....

You can get ANYTHING on the silk road. I got some legal RC's one time, but  they were a lot cheaper on the Silk Road than on any other site.

Quote about the silk road:
"And those powerful people have wanted it down for over a year. The DEA doesn't have the resources to take it down and the agencies that do actually benefit from the extra traffic on TOR. And the site owners encourage its discussion because it encourages traffic."
