The most important is always read before you post and do not copy external material to post here claiming to be the original author this can easily leads you to ban or receiving some tags for copying other post without a reference link to prove you aren't the real owner. Every post has it section where you would post them it's better to careful note where those posts are belongs before posting them otherwise either admin or mod could get them deleted or moved to where it's required to be posted.
Copy and paste, hide the source link is considered as plagiarism that is discouraged by community and not allowed by forum rules.

Newbies first need to read forum rules.
Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

Next they need to read guides to avoid plagiarism.

First of all, I would like to say welcome to this forum. @Jessi v, Just relax, nothing is difficult and you have to think about how well you post it. Just make it relevant in your own language and ask questions that you really don't understand.

I think there will be many who will come to help provide the best answers for you. If you get used to it, there will be a lot more that you will definitely learn because all the updated information is on this forum, both about the market and how to become someone who is able to navigate the market if you intend to trade later.

Welcome to the Bitcointalk forum!

We are glad to have you here with us! Our community is really tightly knit, and there is so much that you can do here. And the best part is that this is an extremely active cryptocurrency forum. It's one of a kind.

Starting out, let me give you a couple of good tips: I would recommend using Google Search over the forum search function. Do not use AI, and do not plagiarize your text and your images.

A pair of helpful links:

Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
everything you need to know about forum rank, activities and merits.

And lastly, here is a telegram bot that sends you a notification every time somebody mentions your profile name on Bitcointalk: @BTTSuperNotifier_bot

The do's and don'ts aren't that hard to find. You just have to visit the meta board and read the office unofficial forum rules then you should know the do's and don'ts in this forum. You should also understand the trust system in this forum and why it is also important for forum members to use it especially DT members but since you are new here so, you should focus to learn more about the forum rules before the guides on how to make high quality posts and other useful threads. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum!
I have really seen links others sent to you, those are resourceful and educative. You just have to read them all and also help yourself out. There are many areas of the forum you can explore. Just understand yourself and know your core essence, use it and excel in the forum.

Don't copy others, be the original of yourself you can be. Only learn from people and advance yourself and not copy from them. You will meet criticism, use it as a stepping stone to grow and not see it as an attack.

So far, I have seen that most of the links have already been shared with you. The only small thing that I will add to you is that you should be an active member that will always engage in research and also follow the guidelines and regulations of this forum because if you think you can outsmart others in the forum, you will end up outsmarting yourself, especially when it comes to merit hunting or trying to claim what you know nothing about, which might end up creating a problem for yourself.

And again, many similar threads have already been published, so I can say that if you are really a researcher, you will definitely see those threads and find the effective information that you need, which is the best, but when you are not doing research, you will end up publishing what someone else has already published, which is called plagiarism, and it can get your account tagged or even banned from the forum, so you should always take caution in what you are doing in this forum and be an active researcher.

Ok... You're highly welcome and from the 1st to the 5th post you might have gotten all what you wanted because I don't think there's more to say that would help but the main thing you need to know is that the Forum is not just a place that whenever you break the rules that those at the top would let it slide, there are punishment for every offense committed. Just avoid things that are against the Forum rules and regulations, is not all about coming here to post and you go off, you have a big role to play for the growth of this great community called Bitcointalk, wish you good luck.

Many new members present themselves in this wonderful forums, and others are introduced by friends or brothers, but a lack of patience leads them back to where they come from. Mate I hope your attitude does not mirror like  those people. One thing is certain: you can really enjoy this wonderful forum if you pay attention to what is brought here, which is to try and go through the previous threads and read them to understand how they work, because with that, you know how to afford your knowledge and become an expert like the other members.

Furthermore we all take this forum as a place where others can come and learn about the topic of cryptocurrencies Bitcointalk. Never be scared to ask questions, by asking about things you don't understand, you can help others by learning more about them. Since a few of my members have directed you to the forum's rules and guidelines, please take your time reading them through so that you can participate in peace and not run into any problems.

Welcome to the community,

You are currently in the most active and knowledge filled forum about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin in particular and like very forum and community there are rules and regulations guiding it so do take your time to access the rules and regulations here before making any hasty moves. And be sure you engage in lots of reading because that's the only way you can help yourself grow in this community.

And last but not least, the forum that was founded by the creator of Bitcoin himself, Satoshi Nakamoto.

I don't know them, but it is possible that other forums appear in the future with a better community and sharing better knowledge, but they'll never beat this one in the same way new cryptocurrencies technically better than Bitcoin in the future will lack the philosophy and all these other intangibles that are exclusive to the original crypto by definition.

Welcome to the forum, Jessi v.  It is awesome to see you here!

To begin with, like some others have already said, reading at least the sticky threads in every board you are interested in is a must if you want to get some basics. Also, the Beginners & Help section has lots of guides and talks that will help. Try to read and learn as much as you can.
