Many good altcoin picks here, I think you have well diversified you portfolio.
But all in all I will also think on some high risky - hihg potential gains altcoins from outside of TOP100 cmc.

Most of them are on the top 100 CMC so I think that your portfolio would be fine.
I would also invest in more alt-coin but for now I am just holding and buying more BTC,ETH and BCH I only plan on having few coins in my portfolio since I don't join bounties anymore.

You are throwing away your money.

There is no way all of these altcoins can make huge runs. Some of them have to die off and you'll lose so much money even if some of those make x10-x100 returns.

I'd rather buy %90+ BTC and put the rest on shitcoins.

Same thought and I also did it because I didn't want to take a lot of risks so in my opinion the right choice for investment is only bitcoin

I think you should add some new and advanced projects too as they can prove to provide massive gains, so not only you are investing in innovation but your profit potential also increases. A few such projects that are undervalued are Powr and amb i think they will give massive returns this year if someone picks up from current low prices.

I think this will be the best portfolio. As you mentioned about diversified investment, you are absolutely correct. In today's market volatility situations which lasts longer than expected, diversified portfolio can always safeguard your investment.
Bitcoin below $3000 and Etherium below $100 was or is the best opportunity to accumulate.
I don't know in details about all the altcoins you mentioned but seems most of them are in top 20 as per market capitalization.
Just a small suggestion, enhance or expand your portfolio with investing in new projects for example MultiVAC and Bankera.(your own research is recommended).
Surely, upcoming bull run will attract very good returns.

Be careful, it's not easy to handle 15 coins at the same time, and it will need more time to analyze one by one. I hope that you can do better analyze all of your coins because it will be too difficult to analyze in a short time if the market keeps moving faster than usual. But I believe that you can handle without a problem and you can also make a huge profit from the coins.

Can't go wrong with Monero, if I want to throw in my opinion here, but honestly don't know how the rest will pan out. Diversification in alts now seems like a good idea, especially when most of them are around 10% of what they used to be. If you believe the bulls will eventually bring back ATH then I guess you'll be a made man.

Monero is a good anonymous coin. The other coins being useful are bitcoin cash, eth etc.

the altcoins in your portfolio are good, interesting because I'm also hodl some of those on your portfolio list. not much is there only 6 EOS XMR XLM NO OMG ZIL the rest I still have in the top 10 on the marketcap and in the top 50 there are some but I can't say it, by the way you have to focus on all your purchases if there is a chance to sell just don't wait for more returns

Having accumulated bitcoin once it dropped under $3000 from late november until early March, I've now switched over to diversifying out with an altcoin spread. I picked up 15 altcoins last week, will continue buying for the next couple months probably.

I might add a few coins, but what do you think of my altcoin spread. Note that I already own a lot of BTC, a good amount of ETH, and a little BCH and LTC and DOGE. I don't plan on buying more of those coins.

XRP
EOS
Stellar
Binance coin
XMR
LINK
HOT
WAVES
BAT
Vechain
ADA
ONT
Tron
Zcash
ZIL

I will add to my allotments in all of those. I was also thinking about picking up some:
Tezos
OMG
Lisk
Maker
Decred
ENJ
DASH
STEEM

What do you think? I don't pay much attention to altcoins so I haven't done much research on plenty of these. Or there are coins I've known a little bit about for a while but never done dedicated research on. Just really trying to get a good diversified portfolio of altcoins for the next bull run to go along with my Bitcoin dominated coin holdings.

Sidenote:
I feel like EOS is the coin I think could gain the most out of those. I could see the next bull run taking it over 200 billion market cap (I could see xrp, eth, and eos at the next peak all getting to around the market cap bitcoin had on the last peak >250 billion). But then i just started doing research on it and saw it was designed to be centralized, and the founder even seems to reject decentralization which is pretty dumb. I mostly think its gonna go crazy cuz I see that right now it is destroying ETH in terms of usage of dapps, so i'm wondering if its gonna take the dapp lead from ETH during the next bull run.

Anyway, any thoughts or comments would be great! Thanks

Great your position is kinda diversified and it is mostly on the major altcoins instead of those randomly fake bad coin
Diversify is always good if you wanted to mitigate risk and have a balance portfolio
You have coins like EOS, BNB, Tron, ONT, ADA, BAT and i wouldn't say these coin are perfectly fine as a project but in the long run, it can balanced out your portfolio for good gains if the market goes bullish!

Good luck!

Your list is very good. I have also got some of these coins in my portfolio. As you have got a lot of bitcoin, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a few more and buy more some of these coins.

Your list are not bad at all, and I think this can also serve as expo for me, so I will secretly do my own research too on them but I can bet my altcoins portfolio that BNB and TTT will be a great coin for you to also invest in as they both have a working product that is very high in demand too and we have lots of investors who have already invested.

TTT has the tendency of given you 1500% return of any amount you invested in it while BNB should at least give you 500% return by the end of the year. These two coins other than the ones you mentioned are what I can personally vouch for now till something otherwise happens which I don’t expect to see.

I chose to invest the majority of those coins that are on your list, because I believe that you have chosen the most promising coins for investment, which are able to bring good profits in the next 6-8 months. You can add to the list a young, but quite promising coin XYO, Zilliqa, Nebulas.

I think too many coins are a risky thing, I suggest to make top 10 ranked as a long-term investment, the most important thing is to always know the latest updates to change strategies if needed.

15 altcoins ,, thats too much buddy
i think its better to collect not more than 10 altcoins,, anyway you must hold bitcoin and ethereum too
because ethereum is the best altcoin and in my opinion there is no altcoins can beat ethereum  Wink

I agree with your idea, the condition of the market that seems to be improving at this time will certainly be profitable if the collection of many coins, I also invest more than 20 coins and tokens, if in total only around $ 2000.

Live with peace and enjoy life!
Great idea, different altcoins could give different returns, you accumulate and diversify your money, it's good.
BTC on the other hand already gave your a profit at today's price, per coinmarketcap as of this time, it's already up 15%, I think more increase will come and we can expect a minor correction, then again an uptrend will happen.

Oh nice lots of replies to my thread!

To answer various questions from different people…

15 coins just cuz I decided to grab a bit of a bunch that I thought could do well out of the top 50 coins or so. Some I’ve known about for a while and traded before, some I’ve never bought but I think could do well on the next bull run, some I barely know anything about but I see them doing well now despite the bottoming or I’ve just seen some good things said about them.

Yeah a bit late with tezos. I wish I had included it in my initial 15 since it’s gone up like 50% in the past week since I bought them. Basically I had a list of like ~22 coins and I only bought the ones that had USDC or USDT pairs on coinbase pro and binance. Tezos I don’t think is even on binance, so I’ll have to see what exchanges it is on.

I don’t know about Binance coin. I see it shooting up recently, and it has gained really well this past week since I bought it, but its already the #7 coin and its just an exchange’s coin?! I don’t really know what the purpose of it is outside of using it for trading pairs and stuff on the exchange. I would be very surprised if it has long term viability in the top 10 or 20 or 30 but its doing well now so I was like alright I’ll put a little money in and see. I mean then again I don’t think XRP should be in the top 50 as it’s just  a fundraiser coin for Ripple essentially and its solidly #3 so I accept that the market prizes some coins that I think make no sense, so I was like ok Binance Coin sure buy some and we’ll see.

To klaaas,
yeah I might throw some money at random coins further down the list later on. I’m happy with my BTC holdings, happy with my ETH holdings (though I might have just lost a third of my ETH by keeping them on an exchange that shutdown ha, such a dumb mistake!), now over the next couple months I’ll load up on a bunch of top 50 coins like this, and if I get to the point where I’m happy with holdings of them I may dump some money later this year in a few smaller cap coins to see if one can like 200x or something, just for fun. :p

To Red-Apple,
I usually agree with you take profits on altcoins while you can. But I’m looking at this from an accumulator standpoint. We’re at the bottom of the market (well altcoins have been springing up but still very low in the market), with a 2-3 year bull run coming up probably most coins at least in the top 100 are gonna 10x or better. So I’m not looking for a 40% gain week (for example BAT has hit over 40% for me during the week that I’ve had it) and taking profit, I just want to sit until the whole crypto market is 30x higher and take massive profits with zero work other than making my initial buys now. Also I reallllly don’t want to deal with the figuring out the taxes on all my trades. I’m currently trying to figure out taxes for my many hundreds of trades the first half of last year and its a complete nightmare. Much easier to buy once now, keep track of all my buys, and sell in a couple years and record each sell as I do it.

Maydna,
IOTA has always seemed fishy to me. I doubt it will get adopted, I think its tech is questionable (lots of big talk) and there was the whole debacle where they tried to design their own has function or something. That right there is a huge red flag that the devs don’t know what they are doing. You don’t design your own cryptographic algorithm. That stuff is made over years by experts and lots and lots of testing. So no, no interest in IOTA (though I’m sure it’ll gain plenty like everything else on the next bull run).
And XEM…wasn’t that in the top 10 all throughout the last bull run and I never really knew what it was, never heard much about it. And now I see it’s back in 21st on CMC, that just always seemed like a coin destined to drop away from the top of the market and it seems that is indeed happening, no that’s probably the last coin I would consider buying haha.

Tomahawk9,
Yeah I guess I agree, it’s not like cryptos are going to see mainstream usage in the next couple years on the bull run, so Eos being centralized I’m sure won’t stop it, and after all XRP is right near the top so clearly there is room near the top for highly centralized coins! Yeah I feel like EOS has the chance to gain Ethereum like popularity on the next boom, my guess is it’ll do the best out of all these coins that I’m buying.

I just calculated with current prices, BTC makes up 90.9% of my portfolio and ETH makes up another 5.2% (assuming I can get the third of my ETH back from the exchange that closed down!). So altcoins are only 3.9% of my profile now! But probably over the next couple months will be trying to quadruple or quintuple my initial buy in from last week. Excited to buy more for longer term and watching them grow after only really ever having traded alts short term the past few years.

Your choices are good although you haven't done much research on those coins you have invested and which you have known for a while, You shouldn't rely on your little knowledge to rush into investing in a coin, but you should read about them a lot and follow their movements in the markets and keep track of their news and new features, I advise you to increase the amounts of coins you have and put the money that you would put in other coins in these coins LTC, XRP, EOS, XMR, BNB, TRX, ADA, BCH and ZEC I am with the idea to believe in a specific number of coins up to 10 coins to bring you a strong return and reduce investment losses.
