What I think, it`s never enough. You have 15 altcoins, tomorrow you will see a couple of new ones and you will want them too. Never enough coins, you live and you spend, you always need more. More time you spend in crypto, more crypto you want to have, not just top coins, I speak about all the coins you would like to have for some reason.
But wishes and possibilities are two different things.
Wishes and possibilities always go hand in hand, if the desire to try is strong, the possibility of profit is even greater.  Fate is formed from one's character, always taking advantage while the opportunity is still open.  The more coins that can be collected, the more profit can be obtained.

Having accumulated bitcoin once it dropped under $3000 from late november until early March, I've now switched over to diversifying out with an altcoin spread. I picked up 15 altcoins last week, will continue buying for the next couple months probably.

I might add a few coins, but what do you think of my altcoin spread. Note that I already own a lot of BTC, a good amount of ETH, and a little BCH and LTC and DOGE. I don't plan on buying more of those coins.

XRP
EOS
Stellar
Binance coin
XMR
LINK
HOT
WAVES
BAT
Vechain
ADA
ONT
Tron
Zcash
ZIL

I will add to my allotments in all of those. I was also thinking about picking up some:
Tezos
OMG
Lisk
Maker
Decred
ENJ
DASH
STEEM

What do you think? I don't pay much attention to altcoins so I haven't done much research on plenty of these. Or there are coins I've known a little bit about for a while but never done dedicated research on. Just really trying to get a good diversified portfolio of altcoins for the next bull run to go along with my Bitcoin dominated coin holdings.

Sidenote:
I feel like EOS is the coin I think could gain the most out of those. I could see the next bull run taking it over 200 billion market cap (I could see xrp, eth, and eos at the next peak all getting to around the market cap bitcoin had on the last peak >250 billion). But then i just started doing research on it and saw it was designed to be centralized, and the founder even seems to reject decentralization which is pretty dumb. I mostly think its gonna go crazy cuz I see that right now it is destroying ETH in terms of usage of dapps, so i'm wondering if its gonna take the dapp lead from ETH during the next bull run.

Anyway, any thoughts or comments would be great! Thanks

you have a nice portfolio out there bro but it would nicer if you take out tron and place perlin together with vdx.

All I can say is that those coins are so, so 2017. It has been a milking cow for traders and whales for a year a long time ago and the chances of getting pumped is very low. You should put your focus on newer coins because they have the most active shillers and their prices really move upward more than downward. The older coins can only be saved by the result of their developments which if succeed translate to all time high which is not the case in most of the time.

I just hope you keep those 15 altcoins you are accumulating somewhere safe offline, and not on some exchange.
Personally i would go for a hardware wallet that supports all those coins you are interested in.

Maybe you interest to take a look on HT (Huobi Token) , Binance and Huobi are trying to gain popularity, productivity, and other aspects to their own token exchange, also beside this two token.. KCS is good too but still slowly to follow BNB and HT records.
Even not just token exchange , so many new crypto projects which absolutely good & maybe I recommend like Harmony, Pundi X (NPXS / NPXSXEM)

Most of the altcoins chosen by Op comes on the top of Coinmarketcap. This means
  • Low risk on the investment
  • Have good trading volume
  • Listed on trusted exchanges
  • Continued development
  • Increase in partnering to
    widen the marketcap

This makes the portfolio strong and the loss won't be big even when there is hard crash in the market

thats absolutely right
because to reduce the risk on cryptocurrency is by split our capital,, and the OP already doing the right thing
and i see the OP have a good list of alts in his portofolio  Wink

But more than 10 coins will be too difficult for him to watch every coin, especially if all of the coins can increase together. That will make him confuse to choose which coin needs to analyze and which coin needs to sell in that time. But all of his coins is good enough to help him to make a profit in the future but be careful because right now, we are seeing bitcoin price is below than $9k so that will impact to his coins list.

You missed to add to LEDU, it's best to buy it in the dip now, its one of the best Education based tokens in the market with real use case.

what make you believe if EDU is a kind of good altcoin to buy for now mte ?
if talk about the dip, i think  a lot of altcoin in the dip now,,
so, better to choose the TOP 100 coins at coinmarketcap rather than EDU  Wink

Well if you are like this then it means you are just investing for the sake of buying new coins. This sounds to me more like gambling and collecting. Or you have a lot of income to spare. If you are like me and your salary is saved specifically for savings and investment then you cannot afford to simply make risky moves like that.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
There are some good coins in that list, but my main thought is that it's too many different coins. If you spread yourself across quite a wide selection then it may mitigate risk to an extent, but it does make it very difficult to keep up with all the latest developments with each coin, which makes it difficult to know when to sell.
You should have mentioned those good altcoins that in the list since OP is looking or advices regarding his portfolios.
But keeping too many currency in holding also had a negative effect because all of them for sure won’t go straight up instead there might be some who will fall
I think adjusting to atleast 5-10 Would be great to maintain if this is for long term holding

The only coins that I think will make it out of your list is Link and XRP. If you are looking for moonshots, pick up some micro cap bags like BRAP and JSEcoin.
With due respect, you are totally lost sir, and I don’t think you are new to cryptocurrency for me to have said maybe you got to know about cryptocurrency through XRP, that is why you are loyal to it, or better still, you might be a banker which is why you are seeing ripple as the only good coin amongst all the coin that is listed there. In my own opinion, ripple is even the least of coin that any sensible investor should consider.

Now tell me, why should people really consider ripple, of what benefit has ripple been to the society, in what way has ripple protected the society or made transaction easier, if you can answer all these for me, then maybe I could consider listening to you on ripple.

You may add some coins with smaller cap too, but very promising and with very active team. They can make for you more xx.
Look at Tomochain, Vite, Harmony projects too.

So, unless you're trying to hold EOS for the long-term, you shouldn't care about whether it's centralized or not, if you're here to make profits, rest assured that EOS will be one of the coins to skyrocket in value during the next bull market,

true. EOS has those governance problems, the censitary vote was never a good idea, but as investment, for short and mid term it's good. some dapps are really working there and the community is strong. same for trx. they may not be the best in 10 years, but are working well now.

15 coins? why not choose into several options, 4 - 6 coins. More focused, and I think there will be more potential for X200 returns from your investment. Just a suggestion.

I go for BNB, EOS, XRP, BAT, XMR, ADA, TRON, Zcash, XLM. For me, accumulating as many as coins is not my priority. Rather I like to pick good and productive coins that give me profits.
