Update: the airdrop happened yesterday.

Some statistics
I got nobody with a high balance to sign up through me.
I got one signature in PM, from a clueless Brand New who apparently thought he would get free money after signing from an empty address.
I did motivate several people with considerable balances to join the Byteball giveaway on their own, so at least I did my part to create awareness about Byteball.
One of these gave me 10% of his earnings, which motivates me to keep this thread alive.

This giveaway continues
Same rules, new deadline: June 9. To join: sign a message as explained at the start of this thread.

I've updated the topic with the currect (much higher) Byteball price.
Only 1 day left to join for this month.

When is your own personal deadline? (A time that you can confidently say messages will be read by)
The 9th would be a safe estimate.

LoyceV have you noticed any funny business on your machine after you have installed the Byteball wallet?
From the OP:
I have the client running in a virtual machine to ensure no rogue wallet can compromise my system.

The Android version of the Byteball wallet wants access to my Identity, my full profile and account data. I don't know what to think of that  Roll Eyes
Most Android apps want way too much access. I don't use it on Android.

Hey Loyce, just want to comment on some items on your post.

I also joined byteball at the previous (4th) round of distribution. I noted that you weren't sure if it'll continue and just want to say that I'm certain it will, at least for another 8 rounds (they propose 12 rounds) until all bytes are distributed. If you didn't have a lot of bitcoins like me, the other option is to buy the bytes prior to distribution and then sell it after. You also get 10% of your existing bytes each distribution, and the price tends to bump right after each distribution, so you could typically sell back the ones you bought and still keep the 10% without loss.

Just another option for you to consider

GBYTE just crossed $200. That means about 0.005 BTC per BTC signed now.

Is there any deadline here for sharing bitcoins?
Deadline is May 10, 2017 at 21:42 UTC (at full moon).
And I need some time to read your post before that.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
Well, you are almost correct. It depends what do you mean by "controlling my funds"...
Your balance on Coinbase is (most likely) not the same as the balance on your address
1NumKUF5fZzaCJNaQJ7DGQShUgUTgyjjGc (Balance: ).
Am I right?

Yes, you are.
So, in fact, i can sign a message to prove my ownership there but nobody (excepts me i suppose and Coinbase...) can't see my true balance.

That is what you mean by "controlling my funds", right?
You can sell your Coinbase balance for dollars, that doesn't change the balance on your Coinbase addy.
It's the difference between an exchange and a wallet.

I don't think it's useful to join using your signature, unless you sign from an address that you have full control over (AKA a wallet).

I'll clean up the thread a bit.

Yes, i will join and yes i have and a wallet. Grin
I just want to try with Coinbase because i have there a "good" amount and i can sign a message.

Sorry for my mistake and the trouble, i will move funds to my wallet and i will post again here.

If i sign a Coinbase address or any other online wallet, is it possible to linked with you and the Airdrop?
Coinbase is an exchange, not a wallet. If they allow you to sign a message you can join, but since it's an exchange, I doubt you can control the funds on that address.

How long do you need the bitcoins stay on the bitcoin address, if you can be very specific I may be able to do this.

Example, "I need from 10 May 00:00 to 11 May 23:59 UTC".
The snapshot is taken at this exact moment:
The 5th round will happen on May 10, 2017 at 21:42 UTC (at full moon).
All Bitcoins on the address at that moment counts.

I imagine you accept signed messages via PM, not many (me especially) are willing to post any specific amount of coins held publicly on the thread.
No need to imagine, it's explained already:

If you don't want to post your Bitcoin address/balance in public, send me your address + signature in a private message.

TL;DR
Announcement For next month (September), the Byteball airdrop rates for Bitcoin holders have been reduced by 90%. That means all numbers in this post are much larger than current reality, basicall my airdrop sharing ended unless you hold several Bitcoins.

I am looking for signatures from Bitcoin addresses with a high balance, to join the Byteball airdrop. On August 7 I will receive altcoin Byteball (bytes/GBYTE) based on the cumulative balance of linked Bitcoin addresses. After selling them, I'll share 50% of the profit. This currently amounts to 0.0096* BTC per Bitcoin you own on August 7.
To join: Post your Bitcoin address here, sign message 4VKOKOM6PSZBSZKMIYM7M3ZRGBFKBN3B, and post the signature. I will use this same Bitcoin address to send your share to. If you sign from more than one address, let me know which one to use for your share.
Continue reading at "Stellar Lumens" for another 0.0031* BTC per Bitcoin from another signature.

Byteball: Full story
Byteball will distribute 98% of it's coins (called bytes) to Bitcoin holders, based on the balance of linked addresses. This airdrop happens in several rounds. The 8th round will happen on August 7, 2017 at 18:10 UTC (at full moon).
Every Bitcoin in an address linked to Byteball at the time of the airdrop, will give 6.25 million bytes (0.00625 GBYTE).
After receiving the bytes, I will sell 80% of them on Bittrex. The remaining 20% I'll keep, to support Byteball.
The first Bitcoin block after full moon is used as a snapshot for qualifying balances, so don't transfer your Bitcoins instantly at full moon.
To sum up:
50% of the airdrop value value goes to share holders in this thread (this amounts to 62.5% of the 80% I sell).
30% (minus Bitcoin fees) of the bytes-value goes to me (this amounts to the remaining 37.5% of the 80% I sell).
20% of the airdrop won't be sold at this point (this is part of my 50%).
To join:
Sign message 4VKOKOM6PSZBSZKMIYM7M3ZRGBFKBN3B (my Byteball address) from the Bitcoin address that will hold your balance on August 7. If you don't know how to sign a message, shorena made a tutorial: How to sign a message?!.
You can join with more than one Bitcoin address. Just sign a message from each address, and post the address and signature here.
If you don't want to post your Bitcoin address/balance in public, send me your address + signature in a private message.
Example (Byteball):

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
4VKOKOM6PSZBSZKMIYM7M3ZRGBFKBN3B
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----

-----END BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----
I will update full statistics in this thread.

So if I own 100 BTC I get 0.96 BTC?
Assuming the exchange rate stays the same: yes! I really hope a few whales join.
And this is the reason why I started this thread: I'm missing out on a very nice airdrop because I don't have a thick wallet. To work around this, I hope to make it easier for others to join, and share the revenue.

Previous rounds
5th round: May 10, 2017 at 21:42 UTC (0 BTC linked)
6th round: June 9, 2017 at 13:10 UTC (48 BTC linked, see payments)
7th round: July 9, 2017 at 04:07 UTC (11 BTC linked, see payments and payments)
8th round: August 8, 2017 at 18:10 UTC (18 BTC linked, see payments)

Next month
If you joined already, you're in! If you don't touch your Bitcoins, you don't need to do anything. If you moved your Bitcoin to another address, please sign another message from the new address, or send your Bitcoins back to a linked address. If you have Bitcoins at other addresses, move them to a linked address or sign a message from those addresses. Keep in mind that most wallets send the change to a new address when you make a payment. When in doubt: post here or PM me.
Current estimates are the airdrop continues for about 6 more months.

Minimum amount
If your share is less than 0.001 BTC, unfortunately, you won't receive anything. Bitcoin fees are too high to send amounts this small. This sets a minimum Bitcoin balance of approximately 3 BTC*
.

Price speculation
Right after every airdrop, the bytes-value dropped significantly due to sell-offs. On June 9 I sold about 28% under the price peak it had just days earlier. If you want, I can keep your share in bytes, and sell it 25 days after I received them, a few days before the next airdrop.
This is a gamble: it may pay off, but it may also lower your share. If you want this, please let me know. If you don't mention it, I'll sell right after the airdrop.

blackbytes
The airdrop also shares blackbytes. This is a private asset. No exchange accepts them yet, so they're excluded from this program. In other words: all airdropped blackbytes stay in my wallet.
If an exchange becomes availabe in the future, I can start sharing revenue from blackbytes too. But this will be up to my discretion, it will depend among others on how successful this thread is.

Full disclosure: Linked addresses
You can check linked addresses. If you link the address to another Bytecoin wallet, the address is ignored for the airdrop. So don't do that.

NEW: Stellar Lumens ENDED
I'm thrilled to announce I am expanding this thread with Stellar Lumens. The Stellar Airdrop has started!
In it's second airdrop, Stellar Lumens is distributing 16% of the initial coin supply. Last year, the first round distributed 19%. Since then, it's value has increased from $0.002 in October to just under $0.03 now.
A Bitcoin snapshot was taken on June 26: any Bitcoins you held at that moment qualify. The airdrop ends on August 27.
Every Bitcoin in an address at the time of the snapshot, will give 974.957961 XLM. I'll use the same share ratio as I used for Byteball. At current value, I'll give you 0.0056 BTC per Bitcoin signed.

To join:
Sign this message:

Code:

from the Bitcoin address(es) that held your balance on the day of the snapshot (June 26).
Example (Stellar Lumens):

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

-----END BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----
After joining, you'll receive your share within a few days.

Is this safe?
Yes. Signing a message does not give anyone access to your Bitcoins. It's not a ponzi, it's not a get-rich-quick-thing, and I am not asking you to send me any Bitcoins.
Needless to say: never post your private key anywhere!

Other airdrops
If another worthy altcoin airdrop pops up, I'll add it to this thread. If a new program appears after the Byteball program ends, I will use it to continue paying dividend in exchange for signatures.

No spam
All my threads are now self-moderated to stop signature spam. I will remove all irrelevant posts. If you quote the entire OP, your entry will be deleted.
Once in a while I'll summarize posts and clean up this thread.

You're nuts! I can do this without you and earn more!
Yes. You are absolutely right.
You can install the Byteball client on your own computer, follow the guidelines, get GBYTE airdropped, and sell them. Or you can save yourself the trouble, just sign a message, and let me do it for you. I have the client running in a virtual machine to ensure no rogue wallet can compromise my system.

I want out!
Just move your Bitcoins to another address. After this, they are no longer linked to my Byteball wallet.

Disclaimer
Although unlikely, several things can fail. I don't control the Byteball airdrop nor the exchange rate. I'll do everything within my power to get you your 50% share, but if I don't get anything, there's nothing to share.
I will continue this thread as long as it's worth it (as long as the airdrop continues). This means I can continue sharing revenue. It will be up to my discretion to change, update or end this thread at any moment if I feel I need to do so, but so far I see absolutely no reason to end it.
The price went up a lot recently (about 400% since I started this thread), which of course is no guarantee for what happens in the future. In the past months, the price dropped a bit after every airdrop. If it drops a lot, we earn less. But since we didn't risk anything, it's still a freebie.

Dividend
One could argue holding Bitcoin now pays dividend!

*This is 50% of the current exchange rate on Bittrex.com. This can and will vary beyond my control, I will share 50% of the actual value when I sell the bytes and Lumens.
Old Bids (current bits are much lower):
0.30995000 BTC per GBYTE.

0.00001167 BTC per XLM.
