I partly agree with you, but everything depends on what coins we are referring to. If we are talking about leading currencies, for example Bitcoin or Ethereum, it is pure truth that they will give big profit to holders. You're right, not all coins will go up even if we've hold them for a few years. If they fail in development, the community will slowly leave the project thus making the tokens/coins that we store have no value. In fact, even if the project lives for a long time, it is not necessarily if we buy it at ATH at this time, in the next 5 years we save, we will get a profit. it is not true that hold will automatically get rich in the future. What matters is not how long we hold, but how well we research the project, adoption and community, maybe with these 3 things we can find coins that are worth holding on to.
It will be different if we talk about hold coins/tokens which already have adoption and use cases, maybe hold statement and we will get rich, there is some truth. but back to risk management.

One of the coins that I am slowing buying is the Divi Project. I think a lot of people are overlooking and shouldn't be is DIVI. It has some massive potential and could easily have a lot more gains the others. You can also get passive income by staking it in the official DIVI mobile wallet or create a node yourself in a few clicks. This is my opinion, do you own research of course.

I absolutely agree with you that long-term holders will win on this market. But not all coins will survive in the long term so we should choose carefully and wisely what coins to hold based on what utility these altcoins offer to the market. Most altcoins will just depreciate and be abandoned, so you will be left with nothing if you make a failure and negligent choice.

Unfortunately, there is a flood of altcoins out there so the risk is, that your coin will fade away and be replaced by hyped meme tokes which have spread like cancer lately. For me, this show we are coming close to another market crash. There cant be so much useless money out there in shitcoins that there is now.
I am sure that it is the explanation of the situation, isn't it? I mean if everyone holds long then it is going to be going up. It is from the people that sell constantly that makes it go down and that is going to be for a long time, that is how the market works. I believe that we do not hold long because of few reasons, there are people who do not care about a project and just want to make a profit and that is how they get into stuff and that is understandable, if you are not caring about the project and just want to make a profit then you are going to end up losing money if you hold long and still do not care, so it makes sense to sell.

Not all altcoins are good for a long term investment, there is still a lot of altcoins that cannot survive when the bear market started, that's why this is always really important to do our own research first before we invest in a certain coin, only good altcoin can still recover from the bear market, invest in a coin that has a long term plan and good dev's team identity.
Not necessarily, but even if you want to save then choose an old coin and the graph has progress, whether it goes down and up or doesn't just stop, if you do save, invest a lot and don't forget to set aside for other coins too. remember not all coins are suitable to be pumped for so long
