Sure the altcoin pump is going to happen but you need to consider the background and future of investing in that coin? . If only invest in shitcoins then I think it will be very hard to pump back especially for memes it only inflates the price with temporary hype and will drop quickly after that, invest in atlcoins such as ETH , BNB , ADA , XRP , SOL ... Most recently SOL is one of the atlcoins with a strong ecosystem

Learn the market cycles and keep invest during bear season. Holding long term will definitely help you to sell at a higher price unless you are impatient. Trading short-term is not recommended for obvious reasons. Short-term trading should be full-time, not everyone has the time to watch the market and decide which pair goes up or down, in my opinion. Swing trading or at least doing long-term investment have a higher potential for average Joe since they don't find time to analyze the market with limited knowledge.

I've said this a couple of times already around the forum, and I don't mind saying it again: you don't just hodl (any) coins, that's somewhat the reason why research is a very important and indispensable aspect of crypto investment, and it is expected of an investor to have done his or her research effectively before going on to invest.

It depends on what altcoins you are holding. Not all coins have the same good future and are worth holding for long. You should not hold for long based on the speculation that their price will be pumped more. Don't buy the hype. Keep a coin to hold for long based on fundamentals and how you see the development is progressing.

It's not wrong to sell. You can buy it back later on. The key is, you know how to play your coins. But if you are a true believer and decide to hodl to death, it's up to you.

Well it depends on the coins that you're going to hold because most of the time alts are ideal for short term profit. Thats why if you get the chance to take profit on the coins that you hold, its best to sell already and plan when to buy back. Because you'll never know what will happen next and you might missed the opportunity.

However this is not the case if we're pertaining to well-established altcoins, since they have use case that can solve real problem and unlikely to become shitcoin or delisted on exchanges thus a good choice for long term hodling.
