Depends on what coin you've been holding because not all coins would really make out some pumps in the future and only a few of them does make out some significant pump and the rest doesnt really have the chance to move its price even an inch.Neither its an intentional pump by whales or totally just basing on demand an interest.These are the main factors on which price could move.
So it will vary on what coin you've been holding on.So its a matter or risk that you could actually put up.

Yes, for some reason it is easier for people to sell coins than to choose and invest in them. When you sell, some kind of instinct triggers that turns off the brain. If you are holding a strong project then the long term is good, but a token can give a maximum of 5x-10x in 1-2 years that I think is very less, but If you do mid or short term by the following trend you may get more profit then long term. So in my view mid and short are better than the long term.
Holding has a greater chance of making big profits. But it is also a big challenge for them, The purpose of holding a coin is to profit from it, and a coin that will survive and have a survival plan will work for it, again, I will take a low risk by holding only the top coins, for new coins , I would prefer to set a target price to take profit. so it is highly recommended to keep long term altcoins with good fundamentals.
