Many people enjoy a drink without any problems, but binge drinking or drinking heavily over longer periods of time can have very serious consequences. Alcohol misuse not only harms the individual, but damages relationships and society in general in terms of violence and crime, accidents and drink driving.

you can take 3-4 units of alcohol per day (for men, for woman 2-3 units), it want harm you, actually it will be beneficial, but if you take more than that for a day that will harm you liver and increase the risk of other diseases,
best advice would be avoid drinking alcohol, but its ok to drink with in the limit,
(1 unit - 8g of alcohol)

Alcohol’s impact on your body starts from the moment you take your first sip. While an occasional glass of wine with dinner isn’t a cause for concern, the cumulative effects of drinking wine, beer, or spirits can take its toll.

Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?

I also drink too much as you did before. I am not old then your dad. But I have grandfather and he is still drinking since 60 years. There are so many people who drinks much in city that I live in. I think it is not healthy for us.

It's good to have a drink after working for a long day. I think that people drink to socialize and to relive stress. However, there's no other benefit from drinking. Drinking ruins your health and in time you might get sick because of it. It's better to drink with moderation.

Alcohol is good if it is taken in small quantities. But if it is taken in big quantities there will be a big risk of heart disease,high blood pressure,atrial fibrillation and stroke.

Drinking will seem like a good way to get away from your life's daily struggles for a while. You have a little buzz. Sleep without any dreams and remain light headed. The bottom line though is that you lose confidence,you may develop a alcohol dependency.You may fail to socialise without the right cue-alcohol.  And may I ask you to google the fatalities caused due to alcohol related incidents. It is THE most fatal drug in the world.

Alcohol misuse not only harms the individual, but damages relationships and society in general in terms of violence and crime, accidents and drink driving. As well as the recognized immediate effects of drinking too much, such as nausea and vomiting, binge drinking and prolonged heavy drinking over longer periods of time can affect you in many different ways. Some of the harmful effect of drinking alcohol include the following;
1. Brain damage
2. cancer of the liver
3. high blood pressure
4. lung disease and etc.
The body in its natural requires a small percentage of alcohol for its normal function but drinking heavily of it can pose a lot of serious health problems to abusers of alcohol.

I would agree there's nothing good in alcohol for our health, I feel it on myself. But still if there's something new - the wine or brandy I've never tried before, I will try it just because I'm curious, not because I feel better when I'm drunk

Moderate Drinking of alcohol is something good to our body. It can lessen the chance of having diabetes and high blood pressure. But if we drink it regularly and we become addicted to it, we can face many problem like chance of having a cancer, experiencing anxiety and even death. We should be responsible enough in drinking alcohol.
