Social media is ubiquitous nowadays all thanks to the internet. With our current technology, we can now get in touch with our friend even without visiting each other. Also, we can now be upated about the news, trends and all the happenings around the globe with just a click away.

That's true, and it should be the purpose of social media, not just having a live cam and showing the world what we have or sharing selfies of wealth.

Some people are using it that way, they are showing the world what they have, where in fact, it might not be true. But what I think is bad about social media are the fake news, it's been around and it fools everyone who do not do a research.

Social media has its own benefits and negatives. The benefits are that it helps us to maintain contact with our relatives and friends, even if we are staying thousands of kilometers away from them. For example, I am residing in a city which is some 2,000 km away from my hometown. But I am able to keep on touch with my relatives back home through Whatsapp and Facebook.

Social media nowadays, control the power of mind that can people or person do change. Some are they get wrong info that they believe.  Some are wasting their time on gadgets and some dont sleep because of addict on some online or offline things.  I dont say that it was negative because it is good for good and easy communication so i think it is balance.

Social media really affects my life, i am getting busy because i focus on the things that i must learn in trading. My time for my family are limited now because i am more busy with my work in the office and i am busy learning after office hours.

Positive impact :
1. To gather families, relatives, scattered relatives, with social networking is very useful and play a role to reconnect family or relatives far and have not met, then through cyberspace it can be done.
2. As a medium of information dissemination. Up to date information is very easy to spread through social networking sites. In just a few minutes after the incident, we have been able to enjoy the information.
3. Expanding the network of friends. By using social networking, we can communicate with anyone, even with people we do not know even from around the world.
4. Social networking sites make children and teenagers more friendly, considerate, and empathetic.
Negative impact :
1. Left behind and forgotten formal language. Because social media users more often use informal language in their daily lives, so their formal language rules become forgotten.
2. Reduced performance. Company employees, students, students who play social media while doing their work will reduce their working time and study time.
3. personal privacy. In social media we are free to write and share anything, Often we unconsciously publish things that should not need to be submitted to the social sphere.

The biggest impact of social media is losing most of the moral principals and losing social interaction . Social media has both positive effects and negative effects but negative effects is more than the previous one. To prevent from this negative effects, people must be educated well about how to use properly social media.

the effect on people who use social media consciously will be positive. the effect on unconscious people will also be negative. because an individual who has not been able to define himself as a social entity will certainly not be able to use social media well and the influence of the social media will be negative. in summary, I think the measure here is equivalent to being conscious of the person.

Everything in the world has both: a bad and a good side. The same with social media. But I consider it more as a positive invention of course. In my opinion, everyone should keep his own balance with digital and live communication. Digital communication is ok as long as it is comfortable for a person

Social media is a powerful one invention. It is most likely to help someone say his opinion. but sometimes, bad people uses this to bully a helpless person which makes it a negative thing about social media

The downside of approaching social media with abstinence is that you are giving up participating in a key part of culture and society. I think that if you learn to discipline and limit your interaction with social media you can have the best of both worlds; you can keep your distractions limited and succeed elsewhere in your life while continuing to learn from online culture.

I think it's a negative, because people start spending mindless hours, and hours on it. Which gives me the advantage in life. Even if it's small. If I was a high school students, than my GPA would be higher than average, because I would refuse to get distracted, while my classmates do. That's the logic.

The issue with social media is that online communities always coalesce into echo chambers, especially with the advent of catered ads. It becomes difficult to maintain an open perspective when everyone agrees with you; your online communities tend to affirm what you already believe which in turn makes you believe that your beliefs are "right".
