Sitting down to meditate for 20 minutes per day can have a profound affect on your ability to focus and be productive during your workday.

Meditation has been found to help you control brain waves called alpha rhythms. These brain waves help you suppress distracting sensory information thus leading to an increased ability to focus. And with more focus comes more productivity. And the more productive you are, the less stressed you are so the benefits feed off each other.

There are many importance and benefits of meditation! Practicing Meditation of 30 mins daily can help you have greater control over your mind and body. Our everyday activities and stress leads us to poor health and mood swings, Meditation can help us cool down and reduce stress. During depression many doctors recommend us to practice meditation releasing bad vives from our mind.
It also helps to gain concentration power, many among us often can't concentrate on our activities properly rather we fail to achieve what we need to, so it can help too.
It also slows down aging and to gain self awareness along with the capacity to stay happy in awful situations.

Meditation is a product of what we have read,seen or heard. It helps to know how good something because when you meditate you are trying to ruminate on those things you have seen, read,or heard to know how true they do that you can concentrate on it.

The meditation thing has always interested me, really. When I think of it, what comes to my mind first is Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars Smiley
But I'm totally ignorant about it. It seems so easy from a spectator's point of view, but I've heard the techniques are actually quite tricky, and you can't just drop to the floor, close you eyes and start envisioning all sorts of lovely images and sounds of nature to do it properly. It's not what's called meditation. So I'm looking forward to take a course this summer.

Meditation is very important for a calm, tranquil life even as we work in the midst of stresses. Also, it is important to know that it is not connected to any particular religion; so, even rigorous atheists can practice it.

Meditation seems difficult in the beginning, and you will require several years to master it. Hence, it is best to start this habit in childhood.

Actually, several activities that people already perform, like focussed brainstorming, are a form of meditation. The plus point of meditation is that it has been meticulously studied over centuries, hence the best way to teach/ study it is well understood.

The first skill you get from meditation is improving your ability to focus. Focus means you can magnify your attention on what matters, keep it there and ignore the distractions. The length of time you can keep your attention will increase with practice.

gives you perspective. It is the ability to not get sucked into mental and emotional things. Perspective gives you the ability to see things clearly and calmly.
Never feel happy until someone says or does something that instantly makes your day a mess? With perspective, you free your mind to see the problem as a whole.
