i think; why 20 years. unreasonable investment in the long run. short-term, when you can be too rich, why don't waste money. I want to be rich in the short term.  Cool Cool

well it may sound wierd but i will be still doing signature campaign and earn through it no matter what the price of bitcoins may rise upto. actually to be honest i sell my  bitcoins every 3 months and after 20 years  from now, i will be  selling all my  bitcoins and i dont have the eager to be rich ,but to live my live in the present.

But if you keep on selling your bitcoins after every 3 months then you will be left with nothing in 20 years so try to develop an habit of saving them for a long term as if your plan is to use bitcoins for next 20 years then you should also have bitcoins in your wallet.
It is very difficult to keep bitcoin if the daily need for money does not leave you a choice. Practically, many people live at the expense of bitcoins of income and therefore sell the crypto currency. I do not think that I would not have kept bitcoin even for 20 years, if I had other incomes.

I don't think that I will be using bitcoin for next 20 years as my goal is not to hold it that long instead will prefer to collect as many coins as possible at a moment and will sell all my bitcoin in next 5 years whatever price it would be holding and then say bye bye to bitcoins.
Yah, same as mine. I think there will be another cryptocurrency.

BTW, it's no matter if we discuss about this hot question:
Bitcoin hits 10000: I will buy things such as best cellphones, best computer, gaming PC, playstation,... and invest in bigger deal
Bitcoin hits 100000: I might be 'rich' in my country. I can buy a small house in my hometown and pay for my tuition fees.
Bitcoin hits 1000000: I am real rich, I will buy a big house for myself and take a rest time (of course I shouldn't stop my bussiness career).

Retire and hopefully I wont be dead. Who knows if it will actually happen though. The price would need to go up much much higher for me to ever retire on.

Greetings all. I'd like to know what you would do if your bitcoin did one of the following, as I am a little confused about what I'll do myself...

What would you do if:

Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:
Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again:
Bitcoin stayed where it was:
Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents:
And which of these do you think is most probable?

Thanks for your opinions,

 -Lags

I am also confused a lot.
but i think it will totally depend upon the need of that time

20 years later, I hope I am still alive, of course, I would like to keep the bitcoin is still alive, and the value is very high, as high as I can not estimate, then, I became a millionaire, perhaps.

If hopefully bitcoin remains as a crypto currency for next 20 years it would be a really great.
I will definitely promote the use of bitcoins because it saves a lot of labour and natural resources which are used to manufacture. Notes and coins
I would also encourage my country to frequently use bitcoin for international transactions
It can be accepted as a global currency for transactions among 2 countries or even more just like it is being done with the euro in the Eurozone .
I would also request satoshi to reveal his/her or their Identity😂.
But after all I would wish now that the bitcoin crypto currency survives for next 20 years because it's a very long span of time anything can happen i mean anything.

I would like to build, in the coming years, a solar-powered btc mining farm. But I don't know if in twenty years it would be a good idea, because the mining diff probably will be very high, and there is a high initial cost for the equipment.

I am still new to Bitcoin but I have accumulated some and I hope I can gather some more until the price explodes. In 20 years I would like to buy a house if possible  Grin

20 years is really long period and if i still remain alive by that time i may be quite happy person as bitcoin price may reach even 10,000$ per bitcoin and i think i can atleast collect 2-3 bitcoin by that time.  Cheesy
Thinking about what can happen just after 2 years cannot be possible for me so talking 20 years cannot say anything.May be bitcoin can reach that price or bitcoin doesnt worthy that much at that time,i dont hope and expect this buy any thing could happen after such a long time.

Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:
Buy a house and maybe invest in things like the ability to disconnect from the mains water supply or maybe more conventionally become energy self sufficient, usually thats done via solar or wind.  My ideal would be to have a water powered house as its very reliable in many climates, Ive seen houses advertised like this not even that expensive as fear of flooding is a factor.   Either way this would require investment so thats my main theme, if you have the money to become more independent then most house owners

Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again:
Its sad that personal computers are not as involved with bitcoin as previously.    I was here for when people with profits from bitcoin would invest into hardware in order to produce more coins, this is not really a thing now.    Theres always idea of supporting businesses within the bitcoin economy, so maybe look into that.  Obviously it has to pay for itself long term, like above the idea is to use the capital to improve daily money turnover.

Bitcoin stayed where it was:
I sell bitcoin occasionally when needed as its a form of cash, that reasonable to do.  Or if theres a sale of software or whatever I use bitcoin, so just keep doing that but at these levels overall I think hold and save a little

Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents:
Not much point selling at the bottom, assess your confidence in the standard vs national fiat on a regular basis

And which of these do you think is most probable?
I think national currencies especially in the west have become caught up in debt and zero rate financing.   One such estimate going back decades of such situations is the only outcome is massive devaluation of that currency.   Over centuries its very normal for currency to fail and start over, considering how extreme various factors are right now in terms of debt and bank assets we are likely looking at a failure situation again.
Of course I dont know, maybe we'll stumble along another decade and still be wondering about this but meanwhile fiat isnt going to appreciate in value or retain its value even.   That just leaves bitcoin to keep its integrity or not, if so it should gain value with wider usage I guess

Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:
I would buy a house and maybe a good car.

Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again:
I would hold on to my bitcoin and maybe invest some more of it.

Bitcoin stayed where it was:
The same as now, collect more bitcoin.

Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents:
I would still hold but I don't believe it will become that low in value

And which of these do you think is most probable?
I Think the financial crisis is not resolved.

The time in which things are progressing is simply too fast to try to guesstimate what the hell is going to happen next month, let alone 20 years, so everything we say now is just a fantasy. In any case, my fantasy is that in 20 years Bitcoin is the backbones of the global economy, with millions worth per coin. It may be a fantasy, but such things can become reality.

Its impossible to predict what will happen in short term as price keeps on moving up and down but its not that hard to predict about long term  as after 20 years price will be definitely higher.
