Always the same problems with EU import, my gridseeds are stuck at customs for days already...

I bet they use them to mine for a week and then send them through  Tongue

If making a bulk purchase from ZoomHash coming from China...do I have to pay duty fees importing into the U.S.?  Any U.S. buyers here know?
computer gear is duty free coming in to the USA.   (95% sure not perfectly sure)

Well, I had a bunch show up from China. I didn't have to pay anything extra or do anything special. They were just dropped off on my door step by FedEx.

Yeah I had 3 high end usb hubs come from china.

  I had 4 ant miner s-1's

I had  an apple i-mac direct from china purchased at apple online

I had 2 lenovo's from china

I had 2 grid seeds from Australia .

I had an hp laptop from china .  in all cases 0 import fees

Just order 10x. Can you please let me know the exact amount . hope its not more then 23%.

Can anybody confirm about custom duty in European country plz? I m still waiting for the answer before I order Sad

Of course you will pay taxes and import costs in Europe, Maybe a single miner with a "special invoice" could make it through but you will never be able to do that with an order of multiple miners.

I have 4 gridseed miners currently at customs in the Netherlands, I could let you know about extra costs if you are interested about the exact amount.

You will pay the normal Vat percentage (21% in the Netherlands) and additional import costs (around 6% for Hardware in the Netherlands I think) which counts for the full amount (product price + shipping costs) so a short example:

Lets say you buy a 10 pack for $2.000 (€1.445) and ship it to the Netherlands for $50 (€36):

Total order costs in eur: €1.481
Vat (21%): €311,01
Import costs (6%, this is to compensate the costs of customs processing the package): €88,86

Total costs after customs: €1.880,87

You can reduce these costs by using a "Commercial Invoice" with a lower price on it but customs might check out the real value of the products anyway if they dont trust the invoice price.

This might be different in other countries but this is what I know about the Netherlands, the exact numbers might be slightly different but this is a short summary of what you can expect.

Please dont blame me if these numbers are slightly incorrect, I am currently at work and will not take the time to check out the exact percentages.

I might be interested in EU customs as well Smiley A couple of friends of mine and me are putting together for a 20x Set, but we're not sure how much taxes we should expect to get 20 miners and additional hardware through customs...

I ordered 1 unit Sunday.  It arrived today.  It is sitting in the other room hashing right now.  More hash at a LOT less power than the GPU in that same box.

I just found the cable and power plug in the package as I was gonna throw it away.  Thanks for including that.  It makes it trivial for anyone to take one of those molex -> sata power plugs we all have a pile of in our junk drawers and turn it into a molex -> gridseed power plug.

Go with one of the different miners. or check you are using the right com ports. or you need to replace the driver with winusb.
im using com1 which my device manager shows as the correct one, would you recommend a miner i can use with the gridseed?
