There are new guidelines from BCCI for Indian players.

Some key points:

1) Players expected to travel alongside teammates instead of them having separate travel provisions with family.

2) Players must stay for entire duration of practice sessions.

3) Players are restricted from personal photoshoots during tour while are required to be available for BCCI's promotional activities.

4) All players are required to stay with team until the scheduled end of tour.

Lmao Baggage policy? Do players need such a reminder? It should be basic sense and who the f*ck exceeds the 150kg limit, considering cricketing kit with all extra bats etc never goes beyond 50 kg.

This recent meeting was supposed to be a postmortem for recent home series and BGT fuckups but here they are doing a circle jerking because they can't raise fingers on big dogs like PR Sharma and Virat.

PR managers going with players is disturbing tho and seriously need a firm hand for that.

I thought why not bring other discussion related to India such as economics, Tax and political activities because most of the local boards have such kind of discussions going on not just only for crypto that will give more space to discuss while increasing the activity of our board as well.

Tax and a thread related to solving tax is always welcomed. Let's work on it as I am aware of how to solve this issue  Grin

In this thread, I would love to see your predictions like you did before, and I also want to discuss the IPL. Thanks to icopress, I have secured a good sponsorship for the upcoming IPL 2025.

This time, the prediction contest will follow the same format, but it will feature either daily or weekly winners. The prize money will be paid out either daily or weekly, so there will be no more waiting. The winning amount will be awarded while the contest is ongoing.

I think we had a political discussion thread and a few were active and noticed some fine and educated discussions but out of nowhere, it went silent with no activity.

I guess, there is more than enough juice and content in Indian politics so it could be interesting and fun as well, more so when it's election season lol and when it's not election then it should be fine for venting and bitching about everything.

I understand why you both haven't been very active here, but now that you're involved in the campaign, can you make an effort to be more active? Currently, our activity level is lacking, and we need to improve it before 2021. Back then, this local board faced many issues due to accusations and deceptive behavior. Let's collaborate to create change. We can try something new, and then we will find ways to keep increasing activity here.

I will try to be active as much as I can irrespective of being in a campaign and also I encourage you guys to come up with innovative ideas and new threads to keep the engagement going on.

^^ Sad affairs but loving the chaos and drama as it's pure entertainment and overall I believe some good will come out of it, once the dust settles.

Maybe in the form of some reforms or course correction within BCCI's way of handling stuff.

PR game is going on for Sharma ji. Coming out for an interview in mid match and then Vidya Balan tweeting some bizarre thing in favor of Rohit, followed by epic trolling.

Sharma ji has found himself in quite a predicament after losing the BGT and the public relations controversy that has emerged. He and his wife have been engaging in PR stunts for some time, leaking dressing-room conversations to a particular independent cricket journalist during IPL matches. This time, he shared the dressing room discussion with the same journalist covering the BGT. As a result of these PR tactics being exposed, his reputation has significantly declined, and he is likely to be dropped from the upcoming Test and ODI captaincy. I believe his career is effectively over, as well as Kohli's, especially after I saw him visiting an influential baba who is followed by Amit Shah.

Finally, this is going to be the end of red ball for Rohit?
Yup
He didn't announce his retirement but on the conference he implied that he still have time so it's all up to the team management now, whether they are going to pick teams based on names or performances.

The problem is in the selection process, they prioritize the IPL performances over anything but it has to be based on the first class recent performances for the red ball or else the batting unit will continue to look same for the England tour as well.

The only players are eligible from this XI for ENG series are Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Pant and Bumrah the remaining team needs to be shuffled.

Ranji's leg is about to kick in soon so let's see if the players in question dig in and grind in domestic. We don't have any test matches for the next 5 months anyway.

Removed Rohit Sharma added Bhumrah and still the batting looks pathetic. This team is completely dependent on how good Bhumrah bowls. Nitish Kumar Reddy, it seems this young lad was only after a single century. After his century he is getting out in duck. It is a hopeless situation for India I am not expecting anything good from this team.

Officially, India is now out of the WTC final after today's loss? Anyone disappointed with the way it happened?
I was not disappointed because I wasn't expecting much from this tour. After a 3-0 whitewash at home, the writing was on the wall.

Considering our piss-poor batting form, the 2-1 scoreline looks too good to be true. Before the tour, i was expecting 4-1 or so.

-------------------
There is a tiny window for India to qualify.

- Sydney is a must win match
- After that, pray for Srilanka to whitewash Australia or end up with a 1-0 scoreline.

I am disappointed with the efforts put in by Rohit, Kohi, and Rishab. I was expecting these three to bat better in this test after doing so many mistakes in the previous match and the first innings.

I thought we are sure to draw this match so there will be still an outside chance for team India to qualify based on others results but Aussie gave the dead blow and ended that dream soon after the 3rs session began.

Indian top-order batting has been a disaster, and captaincy has been pathetic since Rohit took over from the second test match. I was expecting this test match to be drawn but our batters were not capable of playing till the end.

Now moving forward, what are the changes to be made in Test squad to make the team great again?

I expect Rohit to retire and drop in the next test match and hope the same for Kohli. Rishab Panth might get replaced by Jurel in the next game, this drop might bring some sense to Panth so that he does not commit those mistakes he did while batting.

Well known facts but both Sundar and Reddy need to up their game with the ball, IMO both of them were not threatening enough in Perth.

It wasn't a spin deck so Sundar gets the benefit of the doubt but Reddy should've done better on seam friendly pitch. There is a reason he was underbowled by Bumrah. No doubt about their batting as they are capable bat. When i am talking about Sudar and Reddy, I am only talking about their test bowling, not a white ball.

Hardik's fitness is fine in white ball be it T-20 or ODI. Injuries can happen but fitness is not the question mark at all. By any means, He's not in a race for the test team so it can't be part of any argument.

I agree about Sundar that he needs to do more if he wants to stay in the squad. Reddy is young and this is his first tour in Australia. He was given a few overs to bowl and as a newcomer he did bowl well.

Hardik will have a permanent position in the T20 squad that is what I feel. He is out of ODI and Test as the selectors have already been testing few options. I felt sorry for Prithvi Shaw as he was not picked up and IPL franchise. He had the potential but destroyed himself by indulging in other activities beside cricket.

Sunder is an upgrade in batting but not so much in bowling. He did get wickets in the end but he wasn't consistent with his line and didn't put much pressure. There is no need to replace Hardik in white ball, you can fit him and Reddy in the playing XI. Quality seam all rounders with explosive batting are saviors, get em in the squad no matter what. Having said that, Reddy needs more experience in the bowling department though.

Let me start with Sundar, he is the only spinner after Ashwin who can bowl right-arm off-spin. Being able to bat is something the selectors are looking for in that position as Ashwin is now declared all-rounder. I don't think India has any other replacement as a right-arm off-spin bowler besides Sunder.

Hardik is a prodigy but he is not fit for test format and to an extent in 50 overs matches. He is good with T20 cricket which I won't deny. Reddy is suitable for all three formats and I agree he needs experience which is the reason why he is batting down the order in the BGT series and he did take a few wickets when he was asked to bowl.

I don't think Rohit will mess up after the win under Bhumrah. He knows it is his last opportunity to create a record for himself. If he is able to win the series, I am certain he will not retire until the ICC World Test Championship. After that, he and Kohli will retire, and if he loses the BGT, we will see both of them retire from all formats of cricket.

Oh well, no one was expecting team India to bounce back lol

No one was expecting this team under the captaincy of Bhumrah to win the first test match. Jaiswal has now proved that he needs to be in the team in any format. Sunder proved that he is able to replace Ashwin. The last one is Nitish Reddy he is now someone who the Indian side can depend at the lower order and can replace Hardik in ODI.
Scene- what if India loses the series from here under Rohit?  Grin
