Thanks for your spreading .yes ,we are akminer and surely we could do overclocking on Innosilicon A9 ,new or used ones both ok ,but it is private not public .
Currently some overseas buyers buying used A9 from us and then host in our farm ,our technicians help them do overclocking and they could enjoy the max mining profits .

Hallo guys, how can i change the fan speed of the A9?

For SSH you have Putty.exe.
https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

SSH in to A9:
user: root
password: blacksheepwall

cd /config
Press "Enter"-button
vim cgminer.conf  ('vim' = editor)  (You should google keyboard commands for vim-editor)
Press "Enter"-button
i    ('i' = insert mode) (NOW u can change in that file) (BE CAREFUL)
(Use arrow keys to navigate)

When you check the file it should be something like this:
{
    "pools": [
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp://50.225.198.65:3336",
            "user": "imine2",
            "pass": "n=a9zmaster111"
        },
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp://eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333",
            "user": "t1d35jvkzKcWybpCqojZmgDZkcFC7iBwe8w.111",
            "pass": ""
        },
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp://45.79.223.173:17023",
            "user": "imine2.a9zmaster111",
            "pass": "x"
        }
    ],
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-port": "4028",
    "api-allow": "R:0/0,W:127.0.0.1",
    "A1Fanspd": "30",
    "A1Fanmode": "0",
    "T1adjust": "3",
    "T1performance": true
}

YOU want to add
A1Fanspd and A1Fanmode like you see above

(when done do this)
Press "Esc"-button    (ONLY ONCE)
:wq!
Press "Enter"-button
(You will get warning that read only or something.)
Press "Enter"-button again anyway

(verify that your change has taken effect)
cat cgminer.conf
Press "Enter"-button

And for changes to take effect:
systemctl restart cgminer  (restart A9 from within SSH session)
Press "Enter"-button

I've set the fans to 40%, but every few minutes (30 to 60) the fans go to 100% for two seconds. Is there a way to prevent this? Or a way to lower the max fan speed reachable?

A little More stable more hashrate but still stable rejected rate.
And it also support "xnsub" for Nicehash now...

After 09 Oct 2018 firmware, Innosilicon remove Logs in user interface but u can access via /logs

If someone is interested in investing, You are welcome.
Just PM me )

And in my country the power cost I have is 0.013 $/kWh  Grin

It sounds like an ethernet problem or a bad controller. Check your modem or ethernet box.

Thanks. My modem reports the A9 once I power it up but shows it as "offline device with unknown IP".
I have another A9 that is working fine on the same switch. I swapped the ports to eliminate switch problems, swapped the eth cables, so it must be the miner. When I boot the red light flashes twice on the control board then goes out. No lights light up on the control board after that. The lights on my switch where the A9 is plugged into do not light up either. Glowing LED's are working as normal on hash boards and control board but no lights on the front of the control board after the first red flash. It's been running for months, just quit today.

Hi
When Device is running , Hold the Reset button for 5 ~ 10 seconds. Then the miner would be Factory reset and reboot.
If this method wouldn't make any changes, you must flash a fresh firmware.

Thanks just tried that but no luck. How can I flash a firmware if it won't connect via Ethernet? The LED's on the Ethernet port never light up.

Hi Guys,

I've had my A9 for a few months and today it stopped working. I have rebooted and it starts up but the network light never comes on, I can't connect to it using my computer.
I've ruled out network cables, switch, etc so the problem is with the miner. I also notice when I reboot the fans come on but never go to 100% like they would normally do when rebooting.
All the green lights on the hash boards and control boards are normal. The only thing is the network light never comes on. Any ideas on anything I can try?

Thanks so much
