Since Donaire vs Casimero fight is already off, and we heard a lot of rumors that Donaire will be fighting Inou.

What can you say about the rematch, will Donaire be able to avenge his loss and win the fight, or we will see the same result in their first fight.

Nonito Donaire - current holder of WBC World Bantam Title
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/48243

Naoya Inoue- Current holder of WBA Super Bantam Title/IBF world Bantam Title.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/628407

Naoya Inoue vs Nonito Donaire is going to be a legendary fight. I see Nonito probably losing the fight. Inoue is really determined and you can tell Inoue takes his training seriously. He does not treat boxxing as anything other than a competitive sport. Inoue has even received high praise from the boxing star, Mike Tyson. I can definitely see a bright future for him.

On the other hand, we see Nonito more treating boxxing as a social pageant.

Naoya is going to wipe the floor with poor Nonito.

I hope that it won't be the same deciding factor and giving scores since the venue will be the same. That's a big worry for all the fans but Donaire just accepted it.
I'm sure that he's going to prove it that whether he got the crowd, the venue, the judges, he's going to take Inoue down and with a TKO. I guess this is what's on the mind of Donaire after knowing the conditions.

Regardless of the venue, I mentioned that Naoya Inoue might not allow to experience his struggle again during their first fight. He is surely much improved here and will do his very best to prove that he's the King of 117-118 lbs.

Nonito Donaire surely knows that very well that's why I like to put my trust in him finally, he can win this time even he will be the underdog.

A sweet TKO is a must but knowing the resistance of Inoue, that was hard to do. Inoue is also backed up by venue fans making it more difficult to fight.

There are concerns that the fight should happen outside Japanese soil for a much fair result.

If we remember, the result of their first fight was a UNANIMOUS DECISION and no judge sides with Nonito Donaire even he sent the Japanese champion to the hospital for immediate medication for his injury. Even Donaire was badly beaten, Inoue also suffers the same but still, all judges side with Inoue.

Inoue won't allow that to happen and playing on his homecourt, everything was an advantage to Inoue. If only it happened outside Japan, at least both fighters will feel the experience of not playing away from their homeland. Too many disadvantages for Donaire as he's not just facing Inoue but also the home crowd, judges, and everything.

I'm excited to see them clash again in the ring not because I idolized one of them but I wanted to see some real boxing where there's no rig or childish play in the middle of the fight. These two will surely give us boxing entertainment that we won't gonna see in the other fights. I hope it will end well for the best of the bests and if Inoue will win, he can finally move on and proceed to his next plan, whether to stay in his current division for the unification title or move to the next room where others champion are waiting for him.

But is this match really going to happen?

AFAIK, there's no match yet for Inoue and it's going to be depending on his promoter and as well as his choice. Is Donaire going to bring that great match again for him?

The thread was re-opened because it's now official bro. It was on the headline. The fight is going to happen at 100% and the date is June 7. The venue is the same where they fought for the 1st time in the finals of the World Boxing Super Series in Saitama Arena.

I'm seeing a much improved Naoya Inoue here. He won't allow repeating what happened in their first fight where he was badly injured for the first time in his career and was sent to the hospital right away after the fight. I'm sure Donaire was already anticipating that he will face a much improved Japanese monster on their second meetup.

Donaire is known for being a counter-puncher. He will surely improve and enhanced it and his 2 previosly winning fights is the best training he did in preparation for this fight. It's a good achievement and recognition if he will beat Inoue this time.
Thanks, I also saw the reply of OP after mine.

This is actually good to know that this is about to happen, the rematch and we know that Donaire would be giving this a serious preparation as he don't want to be beaten again for the 2nd time.

Both have for sure improved and just after the Casimero - Butler match, we're going to see this just after a few months of it. Donaire will for sure going to aim to beat him and won't allow this time to pass without winning this match.

If ever there would be some rematch between Donaire and Inoue then Nonito should really be doing something better compared into their last fight. He should mind on about his defense while not affecting his aggressive stance because in most times on where Inoue do really make out heavy body shots unpredictably.I dont have any doubts for his stamina since he could last up to the entire round.

Isn't it obvious that Nonito Donaire should be making some adjustments? He already knows that as he is preparing it for a long. He anticipates that a rematch will probably happen and he has already met the requirements for it by defeating two boxers since he was defeated by Inoue.

But while Donaire is expected to do some adjustments, there's no way Naoya Inoue won't do the same. He should be preparing now and thinking of a strategy not to be pulverized in the early rounds against Donaire like what happened in the 1st match.

We will now see them again in a rematch as that was a long wait.
Adjustments after adjustments and counter after counter and this is something that they do have in their minds now because they've able to have a match which its impossible that they wont really be looking on what they had observed or learned with their past mistakes. This is something that you could really wish to look or see on this rematch because the last one is almost close for Donaire on beating Inoue.
They had a couple of months for some extensive training which we dont know on where they are focusing to strengthen on.

as they have already experienced each other inside the ring, they somehow know where to improve their part. this is indeed exciting as they would want to show who's really the best inside the ring. but i guess, a lot will still bet on inoue here. most will look at the age factor here and inoue has the advantage with more than a decade younger than donaire. so let's see...
I do also believe that Inoue would be still the favorite on here but if the odds would be given on Donaire is considerable then i might really do some shot on him yet there is really chance that he do able to beat Inoue
but of course this isnt something simple as it sounds yet beating up a younger, hard puncher kind of kid isnt something that you could able to attain. Age does really give out that kind of toll
not only to boxers but on any athletes. If he do able to beat Inoue then i dont think that he would be hanging up his gloves.

This is probably one of the anticipated fight if happen this year, with a lots of good fight to watch for this Inoue vs. Donaire II if will be push through is such a good game to watch for..though, a lot of fans are waiting to see a Inoue vs. Casimero fight but so far since Casimero is not yet done in his fight with Butler, Inoue should focus first here in Donaire. I'm not that sure if this fight is considered already by management but let them know that boxing fans are also waiting for this fight to happen..

In the lower division? I would agree yes, this could be one of the most anticipated fight because we have seen the first fight and even though Inoue wins, but it was really interesting and very  close and Donaire broke Inoue's orbital bone. If Donaire didn't gas out in the later round, maybe he could score a KO victory. So let's see how he will adjust on this second fight, and who knows, maybe we can see a trilogy as well.
We would see a trilogy if Donaire would able to win on this rematch but if he loses again then that would be totally a final close about the fight which there would be no trilogy to happen.I agree that
id Donaire wasnt able to gas out on late rounds then for sure he had able to beat up Inoue despite on being knocked down.He should really be careful next about heavy blows made by Inoue.
He was already aware since he had already  the experience.Just like the rest that do keeps saying that this is really exciting to see.

excited for this fight, I am glad it is finally officially announced that a rematch between these two great fighters will happen.

anyway, the fight is still far away but I can't help but wonder if Donaire won the fight would he be open to a match against Casimero(if Casimiro won his fight against butler). I would love to see a fight between them too. I was a little disappointed when the fight between Donaire and Casimiro didn't happen.

Finally, it's been announced that the two will once again face each other. I think this is already official. Even Inoue has already confirmed the fight and the fight details on social media. The date is set on June 7, 2022 and the venue will be in Saitama, Japan.

I am once again excited because I know the two will give us an explosive fight. The last time they met, in 2019, the two made a fight of the year.  I am looking forward to the same level of energy in this rematch.

Yeah, we finally have a date and a venue, just waiting for the final announcement and it's going to be official. And the timing is just about right, 9 weeks before the date, 8 weeks of hard training for both fighters.

Donaire seems to have his second wind in his career, so I'm expecting him to give the Monster a good fight and this could end up in the judges scorecard again and hopefully Donaire can get his revenge.

If Inoue will win he still has one more belt in this division, Casimero still holding one and it's also good to see them inside the ring.

Prime Casimero and prime Inoue, a good clash also to watch out. Moving back to this fight, Inoue wins their first meeting and the favorite

will be him, though Donaire from that last win. He shows something new with his calmness and good combinations.

Everything will be settled when they clash inside and start showing their strategy and throwing punches and counterpunches.

After long speculation, finally, it will happen.

This fight is going to be one of the best fights this year, and the best in the bantam weight division.
Hopefully, Casimero would win against Butler, so he can have a chance to fight the winner of this bout.

I really hope the Flash Nonito Donaire can withstands those nasty body blows of Naoya Inoue this time because Naoya Inoue will surely be heavily favorable in my opinion, and I really want Nonito Donaire to make an upset on their rematch, their 1st match was surely a great one but in the 2nd match I really want Donaire to upped his playing field, but the problem is so does Naoya Inoue, the thing that Donaire should take care off is those nasty body blows,

It's even earlier than we expected. This would be more than a month from now, and I'm pretty sure both boxers are already preparing now for this big fight. While Casimeor is having trouble with his upcoming fight, this fight just gives the fans a lot of excitement and personally, I cannot wait to see this.

Pretty much excited about this news and thinking about this upcoming match, I have watch their previous ones and those Nasty body blows is what Nonito Donaire does need to take care off, of those and needs to have his body strengthen and have a defensive strategy towards it, he got to have two defensive strategy this time Naoya Inoue is a brutal fighter with a punching strength to be very afraid off, but if Donaire could not handle this Casimero is there to take care of the business if he wins over Butler.

Its exciting to watch a match when both fighters are knockout artist. We can already see someone could just fall any moment.

Since Innoue once defeated Donaire , I guess its easy to say he can do it again. The monster really proved himself to be the tough one, he nearly crushed the ribs of Donaire in the previous fight.  It encourages a fighter when he sees the people around the ring cheers for him, it might be a long shot for Donaire for this will be held in Japan.

Most probably Inoue will win the fight, however, looking at the previous fight of Donaire, we can also say that he is back and could do the same knockout to Inoue if Inoue will not be careful. Donaire still has good timing in boxing, his counter punch is solid and could put an opponent on the canvas, so seeing a knockdown from Donaire is already enough for me.

If Inoue will take the fight lightly and forget about Donaire's KO punching capabilities.

The last fight between them was dominated by Inoue in the last few rounds, but there are some solid conversions from
Donaire, it's just so happen that Inoue have solid chin and just ignores those solid punches.

We don't know if that will be the same case once this fight happen, Donaire is back, and he won his last fight with solid
strategy, if he can adjust and enhance it more, his winning chance is still possible.

But it will still be Inoue who will be the favorite.
Of course, there's no debate on who will be the favorite or the underdog of the fight as it's pretty obvious which fighter would be the favorite or the underdog.

I still trust Donaire here but I won't expect a lot as we all know he is getting old and Inoue is not an easy opponent.
The last time they fought, Inoue made the right adjustment and I have a feeling he can do it again if Donaire will start strong.

May the best man wins, this is a fight between two champions, so it's not easy to predict.

He has a good chance, but if the odds are not attractive, I wouldn't put my bet on him.

Maybe if bookies would offer at least 3.00 odds, then I might think of taking Donaire to win, and also try to bet on the KO per range or rounds, since we all know that Donaire could KO anyone.

We have to understand how the promoter would work, an Inoue vs Donaire rematch would generate more money compared to the Inoue vs Casimero fight. In addition, fighting Casimero is very risky on Inoue's camp, so they would choose an easier fight that would generate them more money at the same time.
Donaire is more popular in terms of international viewers, very understandable that promoters will choose the money. Both camps want this

fight to take place after Donaire wins another belt. Instead of taking Casimero, Arum seen that Donaire can attract more international viewers. PPV is one

of the biggest profits when fight take place. It's very likely that Inoue's camp wants to grab more cash than pride here  Wink

Donaire is one of the people think is the next Manny Pacman because he created a good reputation already in the world of boxing and i guess he is more higher then Casimero playstyle with this match i still vote for Donaire because he is called Filipino flash he as the capability to think fast and the same time move the unexpected timings and this match for sure can attract a lot of viewers for this match up.
