just ordered 2 of these from batch 5 as a test...  will report back when i have them in hand and hashing away. if all works out well i will definitely be buying more!
Hey massnerder, I remember you from the old terrahash days! lol  Yes I am ordering 1 today, just trying to be clear on what I will need. what are you using to power yours?

Hey MMNC!  ahhh yes the old days of several months ago  Wink  lol

That whole debacle is why I only ordered 2, I figured I could compare them with one of my 7950s, and as long as I actually get the hardware this time (and it looks like I will, quite quickly, looking at other comments in this thread), getting more of these should end up being a no brainer. Hoping it works out better here than that one did for us both!

For now I just got the cheap power supply units suggested on the zoomhash page via ebay. If I get more of these I will probably go with the pci-e to 3 male plug adapters. I don't have the link offhand but they are available through someone here on bitcointalk. A quick google for gridseed configuration should bring you right to it.
Hey link me to the cheap power supply they refer to, as I don't see it lol,,,, maybe just getting old and blind Smiley I have plenty of atx PSU's and will do what you are saying with the pci e later on. Ok, link me to the power supply if ya don't mind Smiley

PS: and yes I'm going to start slow and order 1 first this time  Wink learned the hard way didn't we

With the reputation zoomhash has built up sofar I am very hopeful...  only time will tell.

I ordered my 2 units earlier today and now see the web page says sold out! Will be watching for my tracking info tomorrow.

Sent you a PM with the link

Smiley. Batch 6 is up. Batch 5 sold out very quickly. We can't wait to stock individual power supplies and psu cords. Also, the raspberrpi might be able to control up to 24 units and its cheaper than the controller. Stay tuned Smiley.

Sorry, can't help you with that one. I suggest getting a hub and just running them off a comp. Seems the controllers are the source for most the problems currently.

Agreed.

and now they just all went offline. BTC and LTC and wont restart.

If you are using cgminer you might have to restart the comp.

Using the controller that came with the miners.

its starting to look like the best I'm going to get out of these things 12 miners in dual mode is ~1100khs scrypt. I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed in this.
This is interesting to know... I wonder what others are getting? Maybe under powered or overclocked at all?

Actually, after doing some reading, I come to find out that this is normal. The scrypt cores cut back to almost 1/3 of quoted hashing speed when the miner is running in dual mode (dont recall where I read that but will quote it when I do).

I'm also finding out that once these miners are fired up into dual mode YOU CANT GET THEM OUT OF DUAL MODE without powering them down! What a stupid design. If some one knows how to get them out of dual mode without power cycling please LMK. I'm away form the miners and cant power cycle them from here.

I'm going to ditch the controller, hook these things up to a PC and mine in single mode. I've got 6 miners connected to a PC (Win7) that have been running in single mode for over a week without a single problem.

FWIW, I'm powering them via PCIe power with cables made by cablez (hope I spelled that right) out of a 1200 watt EVGA power supply. They are all clocked at 850.

If I cant rectify this I might go back to CPUMiner and see if I can get CGMiner to see more than one at a time.

Unplug the miners start cgminer then plug in the miners one at a time should start seeing them.

I'm currently away form their location so the best I can do is unplug them and plug them back in over the internet (disable in device manager, then re enable). Not sure if that will work but I'm going to try.

Overall it sounds about right then on the BTC side,, but ya,,, let us know if the scrypt comes up Smiley

When I only had scrypt working the 12 miners were close to 3,000khs. I wonder if these things cant do both at full speed? I'm not in the same location as the miners so I cant check them for heat or power draw right now.

looks like using the private IP address of my BTC pool fixed the non BTC mining. Smiley

Mining both LTC and BTC with 12 grids right now!
so does that mean with 12 you are hashing BTC at 120 g/hash and scrypt at 3600 m/hash...give or take lol

Well, since the web GUI that the controller puts up isnt worth a s*** I cant tell what they are actually doing but my BTC pool shows 128ghs and my LTC pool shows 1,225khs. Seems like I need to give the LTC pool time to catch up.

I went and picked up my second order of grids from Zoomhash yesterday. This group came with a controller (not in a case) with a little sd card in it. I managed to get into the controller to change pool settings but none of the miners are mining.

Anyone have any pointers? The controller GUI is in Chinese so I really have no clue as to what its saying.

FWIW, I'm trying them in dual mode.

The miners seem to be mining LTC but not BTC. Need help.... Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure.... but we can mine for other scrypt alt coins besides LTC right?

Any coin that uses scrypt. Someone asked about Bit try this. I don't do bit. Thanks
