Reddit is a great site to just read something will on the move. I find a lot of interesting things on reddit and don't feel like I wasted my time if browse through the sub forums. On YouTube however I feel like I waste too much time. The videos are quite short but you constantly get recommended new videos and it's hard to just stop.

on reddit you can find almost everything, on all topics, alternatively i look at all the tutorials on youtube regarding the installation of various programs or reviews of mobile phones

Just got away from FB after the incident of they are sharing our confidential data with others and being paid for our data. This just broker my trust from them and deleted the account. Because someone whom you trust and if they breach it so badly and no users were later even were compensated for it inspite they are making money on our details.
I agree with you, better to stay away from Facebook. I have deactivted my account for a while now and never went back. I hope I can stay strong and not reactive my account. In my opinion it's better to read some news (even if it's just some small regional use) or just browse through some forums like this one, than spending time on Facebook. They make so much money of our personal data. We should stop that.
I think https://www.youtube.com/ is perfect interesting website for me, if i get bored. Cause i found there get a lot of good content for myself. Youtube gives us a good kind of creative outlet. Even during this lock-down, i don't have any work, can't go outside. So I'm using YouTube daily average 8 hours to 10 hours.
