I didn't watch all the matches but was keeping a tab of all the results, Malaysia indeed surprised all by beating Thailand, I was lucky not to play on Malaysia. I feel both the teams are competitive, while Vietnam are the favourites they'll be foolish to underestimate Malaysian side. I'll agree games like these tend to be rough, and it's fun to watch them, I'm not playing but I feel your bet is safe we should see plenty of goals in this match.

Yeah, I actually don't watch national games as much as I used to in the 90s or even early 2000s. The national team (Malaysia) used to have a good number of players from my state, and that was when I'd watch every match of my home team, until the very shameful disgrace of all of them caught enjoying drugs on a night out. Everyone got kicked out... I didn't recognise my team anymore, we got relegated two divisions and have never recovered til today.

Think we got one or two players who sometimes still makes the national squad but no good first-11s. But since our striker won the Puskas 2 years back, we've been playing good football again. There's still a huge dearth of quality, we're far from the 1970s golden era, but we're getting a bit better at physical presence and pitches are somewhat improving.

Vietnam eventually won 1-0. Every game leading up to final had been averaging 3.2 goals so the last game was probably a letdown... we live to fight another day, but all credit to team Vietnam.

Underdog of the tourney to me apart from Malaysia were the Philippines too. Guess Sven isn't past his shelf life yet!

Anyone watching the Suzuki AFF Cup Final today? I thought it was going to be a Thailand-Vietnam final but Malaysia's been a really strong candidate and knocked out Thailand in the semis, so they deservingly meet Vietnam in today's second leg final that starts in 2 and a half hours. Drew the first home leg 2-2, I'm not entirely sure if away goals work in the finals but anyway backing both an over 2.5 goals game plus a Malaysia win.

Watching volume of bets on Fairlay and it's all backing the clear favourites Vietnam, with odds dropping from almost 2/1 to now around 1.6/1... while Malaysia odds climbing above 5/1. Backing the underdog here to win only the second time since 2010.

Lots of chaos and bombs in the preceding knockout matches, and it's quite different with club hooliganism in Europe, here it's so much Southeast Asian rivalry between ethnic groups and just plain bad blood in politics boiling over to the field.

Expecting lots of scuffling, plenty of cards, and general mayhem. Gonna be a game to watch!

I’m just glad that this crap is over with so we can get back to the proper football (club football). We’ve just had the 3rd international break of the season & it’s only November. The season started in August so not even 4 full months into the season & there’s been 3 international breaks.

It’s just stupid!

Thankfully the games come thick & fast now until just after New Year. No more shitty internationals!

San Marino , Andorra and Lichtenstein who historically have been the teams which never win a game when playing in European Qualifiers have started to show good football in general and Lichtenstein almost did win their game against a team stronger than them but unfortunately they were drawn in the last minutes of the game.

In this context I too want to see more games from these teams, competition is always better when teams have low dislevels.
In UEFA Nations league these weak teams had chance to feel taste of victory. Andorra, Lichtenstein or Gibraltar, I'm not even talking about Luxembourg or Kosovo, got their victories or collected some points while playing against similar level opponents. We can see these teams improving slowly, but they are still so far away from stronger teams. Again, probably most of these teams will took last places in European qualifiers.
I would like to see more international matches for San Marino, even though the odds payout of other teams beating San Marino in full time was always low, and the odds payout would be usually priced @1.01. But San Marino are always losing in every matches they played, it would be a miracle if they can even force a draw against their opponent.
Probably they are weakest team in Europe. But few years ago they lost a match against my country Lithuania in 92 minute and played 0:0 with Estonia few yesrs go.

Several years ago San Marino were defeated 13-0 by Germany and if i'm not mistaken this is the highest score when they defeated and no wonder if every sportbooks provide low odds for every their opponents because during participant for official tournament San Marino were can not win even they have to wait until 13 years to get first win so no wonder if the odds very low for their opponents

Both Poland and Italy are in deep crisis
Lets see how Portugal will perform in Final Four
It will be serious play to obtain qualification
Biggest nightmare continue in Germany

Poland and Italy have been on the decline for quiet a while now, Italy used to be a top team but over the years they got weaker and weaker. Portugal yet depends on Ronaldo a lot, they have decent players and I don't understand their need to stay dependent on Ronaldo, hopefully they'll be able to make it.

Recently i just see final position at group 1 and Germany were finished group stage without won results and seems since playing at world cup they still cannot recover their performance and Joachim Low says the cause why Germany were playing bad and can't win because they use too many young players

Is he even for real? Germany has been playing youngsters since so many years and they have achieved fantastic results, but results have gone to their head he as a head coach has failed to inspire them, and he should leave for good.

Portugal I think can consider this an achievement because in their group was also Italy former 4 times World Champions although not in good shape as of lately. I watched the game yesterday because I love to watch good football and players like Ronaldo and Lewandoski and Portugal did play better although with one man missing for them. I think Portugal is a strong candidature to repeat the success of Euro 2016.

Portugal have finished as the leader of Group 3 in the Uefa Nations League even without having Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the team, Group 3 is not an easy group as it consists of Italy and Poland but it seems that Portugal is coping well with the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, and vice versa Real Madrid is still struggling hard in the Spanish La Liga after Cristiano Ronaldo left the team.

They sure did, many teams have disappoint me in some way but i wont say anything about it now in all groups, however some have good impression on me and to be honest cant wait to see another this so called nation league.

That last minute goal for Netherlands I think has given them chances to progress further but what I am impressed from is the recovery they did from 2-0 to 2-2.

I am impressed because it is very difficult to go and draw against Germany when they are playing at home and they have a 2 goal advantage. I never seen any team do what Netherlands did yesterday night as of lately.

Big Virgil in the last minute Grin
I love that guy, he’s becoming one of my favourite players very quickly. He’s a Rolls Royce defender, wow what a player.

A draw is possible for Netherlands but it is very difficult to get in Germany. Netherlands has never been a team with a solid defense so the risk is big here that they lose the game against a team which has always played in attack.

In order to get the draw Netherlands needs to play with a solid defense and to wait for counter attacks, they have the players and the speed to hurt any team with a counter attack.
A draw and Netherlands qualify well,it really caught my attention in this tense match. The seeded German succeeded in the first round to get 2 goals but then the second half in the final minute Netherlands succeeded with his starter making his first goal in the 85',which made the German team tense until the last minute equalized awesome.

Only one game tonight worth of drawing our attention to it and it is Germany against Netherlands game. Germany are not what they used to be but they are playing at home and I never seen them losing at home from forever now.

Netherlands play good football but that won't be enough to hold a Germany eager to win.
Well this is a very interesting match and this match is very influential for the Netherlands but not for the German hosts,I hope the draw results so that Netherlands can displace France and qualify for the final round.Does anyone have the same thoughts I want a draw?
