Hello, I just registered today and I'm pretty new at bitcoin mining and bitcoins in general.
I've been reading a lot about it in the news and the bitcoin movement seems to be picking up some nice momentum. I've been reading this forum anonymously for a few days now so I'd like to get started with some of this bitcoin stuff to really see what its all about.

Hi there, I'm your average joe prospector, who happens to be quite technically proficient.  Possibly getting into the mining game.  Bullish on bitcoins because of how easy it is to transmit money from anywhere to anywhere, in any amount, for free.

Just started 2 weeks ago, just before the big spike in Bitcoin interest.

Running 3 systems,

1 with 2x 7950's @ 1.054Mh/s
1 with 7970 @ 625Mh/s
1 with 7850 @ 200Mh/s  This is my Son's PC so I have intensity at 5

Have Cgminer running and have spent the past week tweeking the settings of the cards to get the right balance of temps and hash's.

I'm happy so far...  I expect things to get much harder soon and take much longer to get my payouts.  Oh well...

Hello miners!

So... new to bitcoins... not really sure if they can be called legal where I'm located... and also I wonder if participating in their economy/mining might jeopardize my job at a major banking institution if they found out.

Hey,
 My LTC mining experience:

I lurked for a bit until creating my own mining rig with 1 gpu for the moment. I went through the process to optimize shares per kWh and I think its working out well. I've got a few minerd workers all going through my proxy as well as the gpu rig. Got some coins already ! Feels good
