Hi All

I am quite new to Bitcoin but I am fascinated, I heard about it a couple of years back (which I looked into it more ha ha) but decided to buy some coins recently on MtGox and glad I did.

I am living in Sydney, Australia.

I love reading about the dramas of Bitcoin, the 10000BTC Pizza, the recent fork, the hacked exchanges (although that is a bad thing of course). Even had a spin on SD ha ha!

Look forward to chatting to you all

I am an amateur miner, I'd like to think that I'm a father of two children, and do webdesign for living. I'm writing this message because I just spend money on an ASIC and I need to be able to post this forum.

Hi everyone. I'm Anthony from UKCashout.

Although our site is not up and running yet we aim to do so within the week. The service we provide is simple...you tell us how many BTC or how much in pounds sterling you would like to cash out from MT Gox, you send us the redeem code of either BTC or £ and we send you the money to your Paypal account (minus a 5% flat-rate fee) as soon as the funds have cleared at our end. We aim to do this within the hour. Although, it may take up to 24 hours for you to receive your funds.

I have started this site as I feel there isn't much out there for cashing out BTC to sterling and it could take up to two weeks to get your money from MT Gox.

If you have any queries or questions then do not hesitate to PM me or e-mail me at [email protected] and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Hope to do business with some of you very soon.

Anthony

I'm a newb, and I have a few annoying newb questions....

1- how the fuck do I get my computer to stop autocorrecting bitcoin to bit coin because it is pissing me off?

2- how do I start a thread?  **

**(nothing makes me feel like a new member of an online community like having a bunch of people tell me to use the search function while they call me mean names and I find myself craving that sense of belonging here)

Hello everyone, my name is Bothi. I have recently moved, but once I get a new forge set up, I will be selling handmade custom knives for Bitcoins. I have traded various other good before, and will likely continue to do so through bitcointalk and the Bitcoin community in general.

hello all- im so very excited about entry into community.  I've known about bitcoin for just under a year now.  When I first read about the bitcoin I was fascinated.  Finally, I knew I needed to get involved or otherwise stand on the sidelines.  I hope to bring some ideas to the community that will be value added.  Thank You & I look forward to participating as much as I can! -cromba

paying 7.5 cents a kWH

And that is where I am done in...around 26 cents per kWH here and more rises expected. In all calculations with GPUs half the profit goes to pay the bill with either BTC or LTC.

That is at present prices though, if the coins keep going up (and down) and up in value the equation works out better.

Cheers for the info.

I can't guess the future, but where it is right now I am using 1200 watts non-stop and paying 7.5 cents a kWH.  This works out to U$D 2.25 a day.  The price is going for around 70 dollars a coin and I am getting .12 BTC per day at BTC guild.  So that is nearly 8 dollars a day on 2.25 in electricity.  I expect the difficulty to continue increasing and if the price stays where it is I will probably be throttling back when the summer heat hits in 2-3 months.

I might look into LTC, but it sounds like it needs even more electricity than BTC.  I think ASICs are the future, but we need more competition if bitcoin is going to stay widely dispersed.
