I don't know exactly, but I would guess somewhere around 450.  That sounds great, but I have sold most of them already and for much less than I could now!  I only have 25 coins left. Tongue

I started with the card I already had in my computer and it was getting about a coin a day on 170 MH/s.  Now I am running 1700 MH/s and getting only .12 per day.  For the first year or so I was reinvesting the money in new hardware until I had 2000 MH/s.  Then I started to cash out and am now up a couple grand.  I haven't really kept track of the exact figures.  I have not purchased any new hardware in over a year and am very impressed at the reliability of the video cards.  I have one 6950 and 6 6770s and a 5750.  The only card I had fail was a 5830 which is bad, because that card was a real money maker.

Thanks Blockhead, how much longer do you think you can mine Bitcoins before it is unprofitable with GPUs?
Not sure if I should start on some BTC before switching to LTC.

Did some LTC mining tests over the weekend on Nvidia cards but have AMDs on the way. Electricity is pretty expensive in Australia, I will make a small amount of money on LTC so it is mostly for the giggles (and hopes LTC does 1/10th as good as BTC).

Hello all-- I have been bit-mining for 22 months and have spent much time on this site, but have never registered because of the nuisance.  Also a  Angry for whomever got the username "Bitter" before I could.

What finally got me to register is to warn people about giving too much control of the network to Avalon.

out of interest can you give a rough number of how many coins you accumulated in that time?
Just so I can beat my self up about it...I heard about BTC back then but never pursued it, as a computer gaming nerd I have had the perfect system for it for a long time.

*sigh* i still recall days where you could buy one BTC for smth more than 0.06$...

Hey all,

obligatory post Wink

I believe I need 5 more before posting in the other forums?
I have some mining questions to shoot off once that is done.

I bought into BTC at $30 and very happy I did so.
After more reading I have decided to turn my gaming rig in to a LiteCoin miner. Just in the process of selling off GTX 670's and purchasing AMD 7970's. I know Litecoin will never be as big as Bitcoin but there there is often a need for alternate currencies.

So I am late to the game but happy to be here anyway Smiley

Cheers!

Why not post a more complete introduce myself here rather than just trying to raise my post count.

Hello y'all

I'm a teenager from the New England area who has been watching the bitcoin experience from afar but never had the drive to actually get into it.  I bought a few bitcoins a few weeks ago just for fun, and then the Cyprus ordeal happened and I realized the potential of bitcoin.  I also would love to get into stock trading, but feel like the complexity it too much to start with, so why not start with bitcoin?  I am currently playing with Mt Gox in small amounts of BTC(1-5 btc) to try and make a few quick bucks.  I love the risk factor of it and you really don't lose too much unless you really eff up.  Well that's me.

Hi.
I use MtGox to exchange bitcoins and I created a login to complain about their service and ask for support.

Hey, I've always used this forum for getting information on bitcoin. Recently noticed I needed posts and time logged on to be able to post on the normal forums.  Tongue

Hi, I'm Ryan. I've been a crypto geek since I was a little kid, and I am really excited to see where bitcoin goes - the design of the system is amazing. I built a quad GPU mining rig early summer 2011 and ran it for about six months before the absurd power costs in California made it unprofitable to continue.

Hi

my name is Steven Morell and I have been lurking on this forum for a couple of months now. I am trading on mtgox, bitfloor and bitcoin 24. I also run bitcoin startups in germany, the us and here in south america.

my latest project is a directory of bitcoin experts who are helping investors and businesses to implement bitcoin: http://BTCXperts.com

Naturally I am interested in meeting other bitcoineers around the globe.

cheers
