I am a faculty member, meaning I do some teaching and research.  I am more into Artificial Neural Networking however.   Found the bitcoin by accident and am really addicted to it Smiley

I've been on here all night. I would like to purchase things from members in the market, but I can't post anywhere besides here. I understand the rules, but can someone please release me from the newbie bin.

Set your browser to reload the page every 4 or 5 minutes automaticaly and in a few hours you'll be done.  Of course, if you use Internet Toy Explorer, get a real browser instead.   Smiley

I saw a guy post that he was "batman" LOL. Very interesting board.

Well, people are force to post five times here before they can go out to the real forums.  Some are very creative with their forced spam!   Cheesy

I have been lurking trying to figure out what this site is about. Def not the easiest, but looks interesting. Was thinking about trying mining as well.

Hi there!

First heard about Bitcoins in June when the crash happened. Have been fascinated since, already purchased some coins and have been lurking around here as a reader for a couple of months now.
Finally thought that registering an account here might come in handy sooner or later.  Wink

I've been lurking here for about a month...just decided to actually register. I'm trying to start a mining company on glbse as well...so wish me luck with that. However the dividends pay 112% per year at the current $5 USD/BTC exchange rate...my power bill is still paid with USD...anyway, that's me

Hey there,

A little about myself:
Started in bitcoins in May, did a little mining (earned about 2 btc, not bad), and then i forgot about btc for a while. I'm back now and want to do some trading. Hopefully will find some willing traders on here, as bitcoin-otc seems to be a bit dead these days.

Thanks,
bretac

Hi, I'm new here, but I'm thinking about getting into Mining, but I'm mainly looking for a new video card.  I have PayPal, but no bitcoins.  I have no reputation here, but I'm active on Anandtech, and HardForums, and I have 166 positive HeatWare references, and 133 eBay references.

I'm looking for an HD6970 video card, preferably from XFX or Visiontek, but would consider others if the price was right.

(as I'm writing this, I realize I should probably review the forum rules rather than assume they are similar to the other forums I frequent....)  I'm going to take a chance and post, then read.  Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission, right?  Wink

Heatware Refs: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=2535
Username Glendor on the other forums.

I hope somebody will do business with me.

I'm not new, but because of the stupid antispam rule, I have to make postings on threads I don't care about so I can make a post on something I actually find worthwhile.

That's the idea.  Everybody has to spam 5 times before being allowed to contribute anything worth it.   Grin

Poking around, quite interesting stuff, looks to need more commerce and less speculation but I guess that's to be expected.  Just made my first BTC transaction ordering some coffee beans from http://bitbrew.net/
