Hi, I'm Fa Keng Vang. 30 year old asian from wisconsin. Just got introduced to bitcoins 3 months ago. Right now I'm just pool mining at deepbit and occassionaly trying out others. My rig is 2 computers, 2 with ati 5850s and 1 with 1 5850s. I need just a psu and i will get them into one rig. Hopefully by my next paycheck. Hopefully I move out and find a place with free electricity and really do this big to pay rent, lol.

Hello,

I'm Rag. I've been very intrigued by the BTC concept. Kudos goes out to the guys that make this happen. I read through some white papers and other documents on the algorithms and process and I am very impressed. Great work!

Hi there all! I started doing the Bitcoin thing because I love the idea's and principles behind bitcoin. Also, I love building extreme computer's and
hardware setups. I'm an electrical engineer by trade so I love problem solving so many problems to solve with bitcoin! See you around on the forums.

I wonder if anyone ever reads this thread.

More likely it's only used to make postcount=postcount+1

Name's Michael.

I believe that my main business in relation to Bitcoins may be that of someone who may simply be
watching and thinking about whether or not it may be worth messing about with.

I believe I may be upgrading my rig later on for the sake of gaming, so I thought
that I might as well try out some mining the moment the upgrades may have been installed.
At this point of time, I suppose it's simply patience that may matter, unless that
I might decide to back off for one reason or another.

the 'newbie' restriction on this board is stupid.
that said. i guess i'll add +1 to my total posts count.

i'm rannici. i'm somewhat of a freelance/consultant/web developer though currently weirdly part of a fascinating small social media website creation company (intelmarx http://www.intelmarx.com/) hosted in altoona, pennsylvania.
.. if you're looking for a company that can build pretty snazzy drupal/socialengine type community web portals, AND help with marketing outreach services, AND provide tutorial-based one-on-one help in learning how to use and administer a social media web presence, then please feel free to get in touch with them ..

as for me.. i've been following bitcoin for nearly this entire last year,
but was hesitant to invest in my own mining rigs...
i missed the whole mining boom in may/june,
but negotiated with intelmarx at the end of june to let me use their electricity (and utility closet) to experiment with bitcoin.

i missed the huge mining boom in may,
and despite everything that i read that said mining was dying or completely unprofitable at this point, or that asics were going to corner the market,
i made the plunge anyway.

currently i have four mining rigs, comprised of 5 radeon hd5970s and 1 radeon 6990.
they look like this: http://www.amazon.com/MYOPENPC-Transparent-Acrylic-Station-motherboards/dp/B004TZ56GU/ref=lh_ni_t
one rig has 3 radeons running side by side, and the others are simply 1 videocard per motherboard setups.
all of them use windows 7, with guiminer and phoenix (with the newest phatk kernel), and are currently hashing at about,
4 GH/s on btcguild.com.

i currently am looking to add two more cards, and then i'll probably stop.

i don't entirely expect to make up the money that i spent on the rigs,
but like the idea of making minimum wage for doing practically nothing once they are set up.
... and with the stock market the way it is, this is a 'better' investment for me at the moment. and it's fun.

so yeah. hi.

please do so! and get a post Smiley
don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

relax take it easy and smile. Cheesy
