Hello!

I've been lurking for almost two months now, only 23 days ago, since I just so happened to have a lot of interest and my own custom built machine with a 6950 in it, I decided to put it to task and see what happened. It took about 5 days off and on, mostly on, and it pop'd one out. (And gave it to the guy that first told me about bitcoin btw). After that, I put another card to work while I moved a little bit of monopoly money around. Earlier in the week I sent a few pictures into my favorite HARDware review site and made the Random [H] sighting of the day, with quite possibly the last 20 new as yet unboxed 5830's we'll see this year from ahem, Newegg.  Yeah that's me, Brindle71.

I didn't have time to mess with it much during the week, but last night without a lot of effort I brought 10 of 22 total cards up to about 2.2GH/s w/out any real tweaking. Spat out a coin and a half in its first day of operation at my favorite pool. Nameless for now. (That makes 5 in all now!).

Now, for the requisite speach to anyone else considering building mining rigs - DON'T DO IT! Hah!

At some point in the coming week the cables from cablsaurus will get here and I'll get the reamining 12 cards ramped up, tweaked out, and I hope to push ballpark 6GH/s before all is said and done.

Warmest Regards Bitcoin Community!

Hi,
I am a Canadian farmer, politician, scholar and entrepreneur. I would like to receive messages from the founders of bitcoin. I am moving monies into bitcoin and have had experience raising venture capital. I possess two graduate degrees including an MBA and currently due global business development for a great agricultural manufacturing company.

I have been on 5 continents, in 12 countries in the last five months. I am intrigued by bitcoins because the need for sovereign currency may be passe. In many ways bit coin could aid in diminishing corruption as is endemic in so many countries.

Hope people say hello.

And still have to write some pointless posts here to be able to discuss real things outside this section.
(I didn't even realise the 1111 before clicking to "preview post" Smiley )

Anyway... Hi from Slovakia. Any bitcoiners from central europe around?

Hello,

I'm just somebody outside of the US trying to get hold of some bitcoin, with no luck until now. It is funny that I can order things from all over the world like US or China and have them delivered in a relatively timely manner, but I can't manage to get some virtual currency.

Hope that this changes soon  :-(

I'm Raeldi, a young girl from Holland Smiley Started mining bitcoins after my ex bf decided to screw me and run away with quite some of my money.. Just ~280mhash and can't run my pc overnight but hey, at least it's something. My real name is Miranda, by the way.

(And if anyone of you is lovely enough to donate some.. I'd love you forever haha Kiss)

Hey, it seems like getting out of the newbie box is going to take awhile.

I'm working on some BitCoin related websites that'll launch as soon as I acquire some more coin and find an area to promote it.

What kind of projects are you working on, or is it secret?

Not secret!

I've ran a 'Free Second Life Linden' site since 2007, and I'm basically going to open one up for BitCoins soon. Where users do things like watch youtube videos/ads, facebook LIKE pages, complete offers, register to sites, etc. and earn BitCoin. In addition to BitCoins users could also withdraw the earned rewards to Second Life, or redeem for amazon gift cards, etc. The site is done, minimum withdrawal is 0.01 BitCoins. I just need to buy/trade for more. Ive traded $L for some, but need more to be on the safe side. On average I'd assume most users would only be able to earn like 0.25 BTC, more only if they put in a lot of effort in 'Tasks'.

Other sites I was thinking about were an online casino where users could compete in skill based games to see who gets the highest amount of points. I'd also like to try my hand at a marketplace.

Those are probably the best three ideas I have. The codes all done from previous projects. Ive had lots of random virtual currency websites over the past few years, so its basically just reworking them for BitCoins and seeing if theres any interest.

A Bitcoin online casino or poker tables? That would be awesome. Id own some fools at holdem.

Hi, I'm metal03326. I'm mining for almost a month now and I'm an addict Cheesy
I started with and old Celeron @ 2.2 GHz laptop and an Athlon X2 3800+ @ 2.0 GHz. Then I clocked them to 2.8 and 2.4 respectively. Then I got another PC (for free) with Core 2 dou E7400 and OC'ed it too. After that I bought nettop to replace my X2. The nettop have Radeon 6310, which is capable for mining. My latest addition is a PC with Phenom X6 1090T Black Edition (OC'ed it of course Smiley) and Radeon 6770 (overclocked it with BIOS reflash). My next challenge is to find 2x5830 and put then in the X2 PC, as its motherboard has 2 PCI-E slots. But it's hard to find 5830 these days Sad
