Ahimoth... bitcoin miner... hoping a ton of miners get so depressed from the recent BTC<->USD price drop ($10.12 as of right now) that they either ebay their rigs, or just plain turn them off.

Hi everyone, I've got a couple of 5770s overclocked and mining away. I get about 220 MHash/sec each, not too bad but definitely not a lot. I'd love to get some more hardware but I'm worried about it being useless soon with all the difficulty increases.

Just registered today so I can help out some of the ones with questions on the board. BitCoin is the perfect match for someone like me, who has been running SETI@Home and other distributed computing projects and is interested in online payment systems. I do also collect coins (numismatics, not hoarding bitcoins) Smiley

Great board! Doing my part to get the bitcoin economy to stay and last!

Whats up everyone?  This is a very interesting and entertaining place indeed.  I have been following for about 2 months.  Did a little mining experiment last month and thought it was really cool but the hardware I had laying around was not really cutting it.

I am an IT guy for the last 20 years and I have access to a lot of local vendors and have a good understanding of hardware.  Rather than toiling away in the dangerous, dirty mines - I am looking into maybe providing hardware for the community.

- I have access to hard to find GPUs such as the 5970 and 6990
- I would accept payment in bitcoins and ship to US
- Any other rig equipment could also be provided, but I am not really sure what the most coveted items are beyond the GPUs

Other than that, I am just hoping to learn and enjoy myself.  Hope you guys all have fun and make lots of coin.

Please PM me if you would be interested in buying GPUs for bitcoins

...or email me at [email protected]

Hi all,

Been lurking for a month or so, got into mining recently (free elec  Grin ), and just enjoying the progress of the bitcoin community in general.

FYI my username is based on the book "Godel Escher Bach," which I highly recommend for those interested in the cognitive sciences.
