Hi

I am reasonable new to this whole bitcoin craze. But it looks like a system that can have a real future.
It just needs some time to get the bugs worked out.

Some problems that I think should be solved:

-Wallets should be encrypted by default. (you would only need to decrypt them when sending bitcoins.)
- Some kind of build-in escrow service into the protocol (else we need third parties again which is the same problem the current money system has)
- easier to use (copy and pasting bitcoin addresses is fine for us techies but not for my mother)

I am sure you can come up with some examples of yourself.

But I am sure these problems will be solved in the future.

Hello,

I am a new Bitcoin enthusiast from Portland, OR, US. I am in the computer services business and I will accept BTC for computer, network, and laser printer services and repairs in the Portland area. I work for a legitimate, liscensed and insured computer services company, so I can provide services on the side as an individual or I can operate as an agent of my company if the services are to be provided for a business that would prefer to use an established company with business insurance.

Even better, I will provide a discount of %20 off of my normal hourly or flat rate for anyone paying in BTC.

Anyone interested, please PM me here once I get whitelisted.

May the Bitcoin smile upon us all today! Grin

I had almost forgotten how terribly difficult it is to compile some random words when introducing ones self to other random word generators.
After spending way too much time 'lurking' around here and finding my ever increasing frustration of not being able to join in on some of the more interesting conversations taking place here was too much to bear any longer I finally decided to hit that register button. Well, I'm a small town tech from nowheresville FL in the US. I've a wife, a young son, a few small cats and no fence.. What I lack in fancy degrees in such fields as 'global economics' and 'global opinions I made up but should convince the sway of a debate because I added an exclamatory twist to them', I more than make up for with curiousity.
I look forward to participating more with this very intriquing community in the future.

A man who speaks a great many volumes more than he has read has said nothing at all. (me)

 Cheers,

I'm not a troll.
Don't have much else to say though. Check my other posts, they will actually have content.

Oh actually, there's this thing I call Twunker I've been meaning to implement…

Hi my name is Nepoznan.

I just discovered the world of Bitcoins and Tor.

I would appreciate any help I can get to understand better how Bitcoins work and what experience others have had trading with Bitcoins.
How long have Bitcoins been around for ?
Has the Bitcoin ever been compromised ?

Cheers- Nepoznan  Cool

there is much to learn.  fortunately, there is a lot of help available from the knowledgeable geeks who have laid the foundations for the community, and for the movement.

you will learn about bitcoin, and will learn what high-minded people can do for each other.

welcome!
